The desk comes with four raised panel dove tail drawers that retain all the original hardware. The center where the legs go have a reverse cove carving, which I have never seen in oak. It has a scallop bottom trim base, raised panels all the way around and a wide bevel edge on the solid tiger sawn oak top. The only negatives I see on the desk is that there is a little wear on the edge of the top from rubbing against something and there is a split going down the center of the top. We most likely could pull the top off and repair the top, which wouldn’t make a huge difference, but it is an expensive repair. The desk itself is high end quality.

This is a very nice chest of drawers made from maple wood. It's dimensions are 24 inches wide x 18 inches deep and 49 inches tall. It has 3 bottom drawers with inside dimensions of 19 inches wide x 15-1/4 inches deep. 2 drawers are 6 inches tall and one drawer is 4 inches tall. The top half has 4 drawers all that are 17-3/8 inches wide x 14 inches deep and 3 inches tall. Each drawer has 2 handles that look bronze. The maple wood is in excellent condition. From a storage unit auction comes this early to mid 1800's Apothecary 8 drawer hand dive tailed and hand made spice cabinet. Drawer faces are of matching wood grain most likely an oak or similar hard wood. This piece is near mint there is a tiny bit of chipping on op of bezel on the right side. There is minute chipping on bottom right side skirting. 6- of the handles look to have been replaced down the road but 2- handles still seem of period. A Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer wooden filing cabinet. It has the dovetail joints and the"Shaw Walker" name on the top. One drawer has the metal card holder. The other 3 do not. Please see pictures) There are two slight cracks in the bottom of two drawers. It does have wear consistent with it's age. There are knicks. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. The pulls are wooden with a screw in the center. The pulls appear to be old cut wood thread spools, 2 are from the old Berksire& Beckett Silk Co, one has some type of"Clark" label worn off& the 4th is unmarked. There is one round hole underneath the the pull of both the top& bottom right drawers. I also had a question ... moreabout the stain on the bottom, I am not sure if it is oil or water. VINTAGE PE DE DIENES COFFEE MOCHA GRINDER WITH DOVETAIL DRAWER AND CHROME TOP. The handle is marked DIENES. I beleive it to be from the 60's. It has a chrome top and crank handle with a wooden knob. There is no sticker on the front as i have seen on many. It measures about 8" tall to the top of the handle and the base measures 4" x 4 1/4" the condition issues i see are there is two small dents in the cover. the opening and closing door does slide but is sticky(could use a good cleaning) The wooden base has some soiling and there is a small crack on either side on the bottom(see photo) Looks like someone put a couple of small nails in the bottom on either side to reinforce it. There is obvious wear from age and some stray pieces of tape. The front and rear of the drawer are dovetailed to the drawer with 2 dovetails. Here is a vintage Macey. Of Grand Rapids Michigan, four draw index card file cabinet in beautiful tiger oak wood. It is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition. Antique Tiger Oak Library Bureau SoleMakers 6 Drawer File Cabinet Dovetail Brass
Antique quarter sawn oak index card file cabinet by Library Bureau Solemakers. Circa 1890. The six drawer file cabinet has solid brass pulls and maker's label. The drawers and cabinet are constructed with handcut dovetails. The back of the cabinet has an inset panel. The cabinet measures about 13 1/2" deep x 12 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" tall. The file cabinet has been restored. The original shellac finish has been re-applied by hand. All brass was removed and polished and the drawer runners have been waxed. The cabinet is in very good used antique condition. No problems found, only normal signs of light use. The rods for each of the drawers are not present. It measures about 15" tall, 16" wide, and 2 3/4 thick. All of the sections measure around 3 1/4" to 3 1/2" wide. And the vertical sections measure around 10 1/4" tall. It has wear and weather of all types. But it's good and solid. The bottom has a small lip that sticks out. That lip is hanging over the back of the box it's standing on, it could be trimmed off or a thin board could be placed under it flush with the lip, or it could be hung on the wall. Up for auction is an excellent vintage wooden two drawer card catalog. This piece measures 16 1/2 x 15 7/8 x 6 5/8" and features two drawers with dovetail detail. This is a vintage piece. So it does show sign of past use, including scratches, scrapes, and dings on the surfaces. At some point, it looks as though the original drawer pulls were replaced with metal knobs, which you can see in the photographs. The drawers still have the metal card catalog framework inside, and I can move the framework back and forth from the bottom. I have not cleaned or polished this piece, but I would imagine that it would look even better with a little care. 1840-60 EMPIRE PERIOD FLAME MAHOGANY SECRETARY WITH BOOKCASE & DOVETAIL DRAWER
First. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful piece of work. It's an Empire period Flame Mahogany Secretary with a 2-Door bookcase above and single drawer below. This piece was estimated to have been made in the middle 1800's and is in remarkable condition. The inside 2 drawers are hand dove-tailed. The bottom wide drawer is hand dove-tailed as well. The bead work along the front doors and along the top is in excellent condition and beautifully done. This great piece of furniture shows signs of age as you can see in the close up picture of the zipper-like crackle in the veneer along the side, but, there is no separation. The desk measures 80" at the peak, is 39" wide and is mounted on 4 turned legs. The depth at the top is 11" and is 18-1/2" for the drawer section. One picture shows the top of the piece ... moreand another shows the 4 separate boards which form the back. Those individual board widths measure 12" 12" 19" 8" There is a'hook' latch along the side that holds the writing platform in an upright position. This listing is for local pickup only. Up for auction is this really nice vintage 9 drawer Globe Wernicke library card catalog cabinet with dovetail construction drawers and a solid oak dovetailed construction frame cabinet.It has a brass label tag on the back see photo no. 7 which is the only part that is not solid wood. But a plywood veneer. There is some damage to the bottom see photo no. 6, 8, 9 approx. 3/8' or less up across the bottom.There is a split in the cabinet photo no. 3. The back has some scratches and some paint scratches also see photo no. 6. It looks like the paper on the bottom( last pic) could be it's original label. The cabinet is in very good solid condition and the drawers also are in very good working condition. We are not experts in wood, but would call this mahogany, a beautiful medium color. This stands approx. 11 5/8" tall, by 11" wide and 9.5" deep. The finish looks great, though there are some scratches on the left side, and one of the drawers is missing a bit of trim on the right and the back wall reinforced with small brads, but it is solid now. This whole piece is a marvel of old fashioned craftsmanship, made as a salesman's sample or for a little girl to put her doll's clothes. What a great addition to anyone's collection! Good Luck!
