The lamp is in working order and comes with 2.4 metres of new flex but not the plug as it is a French one. It is in very good used condition with some very minor signs of use to the reflector's surface. The reflector has its original high temperature painted surface and still has the bulb wattage/voltage sticker intact. The switch is in the base. I have included the lamp's weighted vehicle brake disc base in the sale. These lamps are very sort after and nice examples like this are becoming difficult to find. The photos don't do it justice! The lamp takes a Standard Bayonet cap bulb(B22) which are available at all DIY outlets. Bulb not included. The maximum wattage is 150w. Jielde lamps were designed by Jean-Louis Domecq for direct mounting on machine tools and for use in workshops. The lamps have now become particularly fashionable for use in loft style apartments and in homes generally as desk lamp/floor or wall lamps. So, hence I have fitted a trailing flexible lead to make the light more useable in the home. I have displayed this light using a vehicle brake disc which provides a solid base to show a typical method of mounting the light. Heavy sprockets. Hardwood- anything heavy will do the job. The light can also be fixed to a wall if required using its mounting base/bracket which has 3 holes in it. Although the light isn't heavy, it will require a solid wall and sturdy fixings to mount it as the movement required to adjust the lamp to the desired position will put stress on the mounting. If you do not want the brake disc included in the sale, then I will discount the postage by £10. Dimensions: Maximum extended height is 110cm( 44" The shade dia. is 16cm. They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. From the"How to care for SIMMONS FURNITURE guide" SIMMONS FURNITURE protected and enhanced with Du Pont satin-finished HI-BAKE DULUX. SIMMONS Steel furniture is specially finished with Hi-Bake DULUX for outstanding beauty and durability. DULUX is an exceptionally hard finish with excellent moisture resistance that protects against rust or corrosion. With proper care. SIMMONS furniture remains beautifully new for years. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. If you need larger pics, or perhaps a different view, contact me and I'll send you the requested pics asap. The footstool's fabric is intact- no rips. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Someone removed what appears to be shipping tape- and that managed to remove some of the color in a small area which is more noticeable in the pictures than in person. Antique art desk in good condition. This art desk was made from the early 1900's to late 1920's. This particular desk was made in 1903 though the map on the back was"updated" and is from 1910. The scroll has 24 different views ranging from learning short hand, math, flags, birds, vanishing point, drawing, music, accounting and much more. The map on the back has seen better days but is still a great piece! Includes the original chalk eraser and complete instructions booklet. Folds closed to 19" high by 22" wide. This is an all wood antique child's chair top. It is in good condition. A few of the curved backing pieces need a little glue and a vice overnight to tighten them up to the top backrest. Here is a unique warehouse find that our staff has spiffed up into a real centerpiece for your office or studio. The metal desk has been sand-blasted. Wire brushed, and finished with clear lacquer to obtain a clean, industrial look. Long ago, it looks like someone added a metal top and casters to this desk. This unique desk has been Outfitted With a Fostoria lamp and wired into the desk to use the On/Off switch built into the desk on the right hand side. The desk measures 45.5" L x 23.5" W x 29" T. Each of the drawers is 20.5" L x 4" W x 2.5" T and has a space for a tag. The casters are 2" in diameter and the chair space is 30" wide. There is a shelf below the desk that is 12.75" from the ground and measures 30" W x 13" D. The switch for the lamp is about 13" in from the right side ... moreof the desk. The Fostoria lamp is mounted on a 5" post attached to the desk. The first arm segment is 9.5" the second segment is 10.5" and the shade measures 12" from front to back and 7" in diameter. Vintage drop leaf typewriter stand with single drawer and wheels. This is thick guage metal and possibly powder coated to give it that glossy look. It measures 26" tall and 38" across from one end of the leaf to the other and 16" wide. It has a little shelf on the bottom. The condition is great with a few scratches and scrapes also one wheel wants to come off if you lift the desk off the ground it can easily be put back on after it is moved to its new spot. They are commonly being used for tables, and various forms of stands. The bottom shelf(as seen in the pics) folds up. My wife loves them as plant stands, a great time to pull out those special pieces of board you have been saving. Vtg Mid Century 40s 50s Mod Modern Industrial Steel Red Tanker Desk Rehabbed
Terrific. Rehabbed tanker desk from the 1940's-1950's. I had this painted at an auto body shop and have some left over paint in a can for touch ups and color match. It is in nice condition. The top of the desk is raw steel and could be sanded and sealed to nice effect if desired or left with natural patina. This desk locks and has original keys. You lock the center drawer and it locks the other three drawers automatically. The feet on the desk can be leveled to desired height. There is a hole by the desk's shelf to hide electrical cords if needed. There is also a shelf underneath where a chair would fit. It measures 56" inches long, 31" deep, and 31.5" tall. It would be a great desk for an artist or loft space. Very unique! Bring an extra person for pick up. It is a bit cumbersome.

rare antique metal rolltop desk vintage industrial coal mine steampunk brass vtg
This auction is for an amazing desk. I have looked everywhere and cannot find another one like it. It is made of all metal except the bottom few inches of the legs. Even the lattice work on the sides is metal. There is also some brass or copper trim in some areas. Those areas are the handle. The feet on the legs, and on the front lip of the desk top. The desk measures 52 inches tall, 45 inches wide, and 30 inches deep. The desktop is 36.5 inches off the floor. I do not know what the original color was. It was painted at one point a brown color and then someone started to restore it and painted it red. I think if it was completed stripped it down to bare metal it would be unbelieveable, I just do not have the time or resources to have it restored. It is a really well made piece. It easily breaks down into small components to transport. As ... moreyou can see in the photos it shows some wear and needs a little tlc but really not that much. All the parts are there minus a few screws and a small spring. I have the lock to the top it just needs to be put back in. I do not have the key though. The top does open and close but I am sure some WD-40 will really make it smooth again. The spring is put in the drawer so when the rolltop is closed the drawer will lock. That is a sub dollar part and then you will have to get several screws to really secure the whole piece. It is solid and can be used as is, but there is a shelf inside the desk that needs screws and the trim on the front of the desk also needs screws. Really not that hard to do and I may even do it myself here in the next couple days and revise the listing. It is piece you really have to see to appreciate it and like I said I think it is great as is, but with some restoration it could be on the cover of a magazine. I was told this desk was used at a coal mine. It was the foreman's desk where he could keep important papers and money. Could easily lock it up and open it to pay employees. Vintage Mid Century Industrial Shop Desk / Table made by Steel Age
For sale is this vintage Steel Age metal industrial desk. It measures 54" wide x 42" tall x 28 1/2" deep. It is solid and sturdy and very heavy. A well built piece of furniture here. There are 6 drawers on each side and a large drawer in the center. The doors are lockable but I do not have the keys so you will need to put new looks on it if you would like to be able to lock it. The desk sits up high so you would need to use a stool as opposed to a chair. This desk is local pickup only. I will ship the desk but all shipping arrangements must be set up by the buyer.
