Up for auction is an old antique walnut architectural element. This is a piece I picked up along the way thinking something could be done with it. Its a heavy solid piece with a good look. Fab Arts & Crafts Antique Tiger 1/4 Oak Large Mantel / Pottery / Clock Shelf
This listing is for an absolutely GORGEOUS long antique shelf. Oak is ALL tiger quartersawn wood. The entire shelf is oak and it's in wonderful condition with no damage. It came right off my own wall. It has sawtooth molding along front with no breakage or damage. It has two graceful brackets. Top is lovely and has a small oak edge strip to keep things from falling off. Measures 41" long and shelf top is 7" deep. Height is about 9" It would be ideal as a fireplace mantel because of the substantial length. Though I've used it to hold pottery and more substantial items. Grain is beautiful. I have always hung from two picture hangers wall. Has brackets on back which are new and strong. It's large but not so heavy that it is hard to manage. American; originally from a small town in Texas. Beautiful!

One of the nicest architectural headers I have ever sold! Highest quality you can buy. Best of all. In near MINT condition! Rich flawless patina. The list of bells and whistles include.c ompletely freestanding beveled base.4 giant turned urn finials across the top.2 of them on beveled platforms.vertical column at each end with beveled front edges.5 urn spindle rails.textured. Recessed panel stretches below& between the 2 inside finials.Victorian acanthus top scroll carving to left and right of head.cornice molding arch in the middle top.further in, is a round raised trim ring around the face. then an elaborate medieval court jester/joker head. The head is in perfect condition with a classic felt 3 pointed hat and jingle bells at each end. You can even see some clothing with folded material around his collar. This is an absolute piece ... moreof 110 year old art. At this level of quality, it is more an investment that it is a purchase. It measures about 45 1/2 inches long& almost 10 inches tall. It also has dramatic depth, at about 4 inches. Top finials will be removed for safer shipping. There are 2 VERY minor condition issues. 2 finials have, on their back facing sides, tiny chips near tips. Then there is a slight raise in the bottom edge, not caused by damage, but by a knot underneath. I guarantee you will not find an equivalent piece in any better condition than this BEAUTY! Superb 19thc mahogany wood carved pediment. Excellent attention to detail on this pediment with a large and intricately carved Art Nouveau ribbon and a rose to the top. A large oval raised carving with decorative beading around is carved to the centre of the pediment with carved leaf arms to either side. This is a very pretty carved pediment of unusual design. ANTIQUE WOOD GESSO ARCHITECTURAL CROWN MOLDING MOULDING 100 YEAR OLD MOULDING
Original antique gesso and wood architectural moulding from the turn of the century. The moulding measures 1 3/4 inches wide. There are 9 pieces and their lengths are: 48. 48, 36, 34, 29, 34, 28, 26 and 16 inches. The moulding has a flat wood back and the gesso design on the front has a crown moulding style. The moulding has been well kept and the gesso is not damaged and has good designs. The moulding has a slot in the wood on the top of the moulding. I believe this is architectural moulding and not picture frame stock because the slot in the wood is not correct for picture frames. It has no offset. The gesso design has a nice scalloped bottom edge and is quite handsome. Very old, probably 100 year old moulding that you do not see often in this quantity. I believe there is near 25 feet here. Offered for sale is this historical. Cast iron, Architectural/ Structural Building' Star. Stars like these were used in the construction of two or more story brick/stone buildings. 100 plus years ago, to stabilize and secure the brick/stone masonry. They were attached inside to the joist beams, thus securing the brick or stone siding together with the frame of the building. You may see them on many of the very old masonry constructed buildings in your town. Included in my photos you will see three examples of a star like this presently in use on the side of an old Hotel in my town. When we come upon a very old/historical'FIND' like this we say"We wish it could talk and share what it has seen" This one came from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. ANTIQUE VINTAGE HAND WROUGHT IRON PANEL GRATE GATE 10" w x 42 1/4" high
This is an antique or vintage wrought iron grate or panel that was salvaged from a door imported from Egypt. You can see the Arabic influence in the turned finials on top. It measures 10" wide x 42 1/2" high x 1/2" thick or deep. They are all riveted together as opposed to any welded joints and most likely are hand wrought. They are painted brown on one side and white on the other, there is some minor surface rust as you can see in the pictures. We have some other similar panels presently listed. Magnificent Double Phoenix w Flower Urn antique carved wood pediment for above a door or piece of furniture. The back is the original wood color. The front had once been painted a blush ivory with gold accents. Measures a large 37.75" wide x 18" tall. It does have a metal piece on the back for easy hanging. Stunning piece, timeworn with chippy paint, mostly around the edges. It is missing the bottom left swirly piece, and there are some crack lines through it from age, but nothing broken off except the bottom left swirl.
