It measures about 32 inches high, twenty across at the top and 17 across at the bottom. It has had cracks, and some abrasion a long time ago to the face which you can see in the pictures. I came by it second hand, but I remember the building before it was torn down, on Lombard Street, and is now the location of a hotel. Vintage Woodenware Architectural Style Half Capitals Mounted Wall Shelfs
Up for auction are a unique pair of woodenware gold painted relief carved half capital pediments recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. They are found in good used condition but are not antique. Both remnants feature a repeating pattern, top and bottom. There are two hangers on the back. One is approximately 1/2" larger than the other. The smaller one measures approximately 9" x 12 3/4" They come put from the wall approximately 4 3/4" in size. Wonderful architectural qualities. There are cracks throughout. The larger one has a chip up top, best seen in photo#10. It also has a larger crack on the bottom, best seen in photo#7. This piece is very heavy. Made of solid fir and all blocks are complete and fully intact and there is no rot whatsoever. They have an aged original white painted patina and finish and these are absolutely beautiful and very rare! This is some of the best dentil molding we have ever had due to the size. Antique Brass Eagle with Scottish Thistle on Shield Plaque / Pediment RARE
This is a very interesting and unusual brass plaque/ pediment featuring the classic patriotic bald eagle with a banner in it's beak and holding a sheaf of arrows in it's talons. What sets it apart is the shield on the Eagle's chest which is emblazoned with a Scottish thistle and a stone of some kind. The plaque is substantial and heavy and free of damage other than patina on the brass which I'll leave for the new owner. Measuring approx. 7 inches by 8 inches. 1800s GOTHIC VICTORIAN CHURCH WOOD TRACERY WINDOW
This is an architectural salvage piece I bought from an estate of a longtime collector. It is 32" H. 33"W and 4 1/4" Deep. It is a bit of a fantasy piece as the true window was open at the bottom, like a inverted V. this would have been only the top portion. Near this window there were some additional pieces of the same structure and wood. I was able to piece them together to enclose the bottom. There were very few scraps, and all but a few inches were put to use. The seams were filled with glue and sawdust from the pieces. I've taken pictures of the joints so you can see it is not perfect, but it has a nice architectural charm. I think the whole looks to the unknowing eye like it was always this way. As I said, this makes it a bit of a fantasy piece, but it also makes it one of a kind. Piece retains it's original finish, ... moretouched up in aforementioned spots. Lady Liberty 1790's SWEET Walnut Door Topper Pediment Belong to Thomas Johnson
I call her Lady Liberty and she has been in my personal collection for 20 years. Fresh out of high school I went to work for the parks and rec department of Frederick County. My job one day was to clean out the bank barn and take misc. items to the land fill. This wonderful door topper org to the manor house of Rose Hill Manor was one of many items I was instructed to dispose of. I was informed by a coworker the door topper was removed from the manor house in a previous renovation. Covered in a thick layer of grime and missing some pieces I still could not bring myself to dispose of her. I brought her home( with my supervisors permission) and gave her a good cleaning. Under the grime I found this beautiful walnut masterpiece. I found a master craftsman to repair her and bring her back to life. Which I must say he did a wonderful job. Some ... morepieces were recreated, repaired and he added a shelf board to make it practical use for me. Shelf board can be easily removed and may have to be removed for safe shipping. This door Topper was originally installed in the inside main double door way of the manor home of Rose Hill Manor of Frederick County. Rose Hill Manor was built in 1790 for Governor Thomas Johnson's retirement home. Johnson was the first governor of Maryland and an associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. His retirement home was constructed of the finest woods and craftsmanship of time and it shows with the quality of this piece. Lady Liberty measures 61" wide x 17 1/2" tall x 5" thick. Up for auction is an antique architectural walnut wood door pediment with four antique acorn tip cast iron hangers. The pediment is from the 1890's. Great for hanging bcoats. MAJESTIC! Tiger Oak Acanthus Window Valance Carved Victorian Furniture Pediment
Highest quality. Salvaged header that money can buy! Quarter sawn, tiger oak with fantastic patina. Guaranteed antique and not a reproduction. Near perfect condition. Large size makes it a great opportunity to use as a window valance. I have had similar over wood blinds for many years. It has wide cornice trim along the top. Below are 3 recessed panels framed with beveled trim. In the outside 2, are raised beveled panels with acanthus leaf and round flower medallions. In the middle recessed panel are more acanthus carvings and a dramatic center crest with segmented egg. Along the sides of the recessed panels are 4 contoured corbel brackets. You are bidding on an Antique Cast Iron Americana American Eagle Pediment Stove Door? Wall Hanging? Steampunk. The piece is 18" across the top and 16 1/2" across the widest part of the middle. It is only 15 3/4" across the bottom because there is a piece broken off on the left side. The piece stands about 10" tall. It has holes on both sides so it could be used as a wall hanging. The eagle with its wing spread and the design have some depth to it. It is an old piece and has an edge broken off on the left side. It has some rust and needs to be cleaned. Wonderful Walnut Wood Furniture Pediment Perfect for hanging over doors. Pictures, as a statement piece or as a furniture attachment. Been in my personal care the past 20 years. I believe it is referred to as the"Star or Sun Burst" design. Piece is in great shape for it's age. It is solid and has a nice gloss sheen to the wood. No repairs, breaks or issue other than an occasional scratch. Stamped#14 on back. Finish has a nice sheen and has been lemon oiled to preserve the wood finish so it will arrive clean, pest and critter free. Description This is a nice set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. They are made of oak and is currently painted. They were originally part of a built in armoire. Each has a carved corbel at the end with carved flowers. There are brackets along the breast. Each has a nicely carved crown. Each measures 30.75 inches wide by 14.5 inches tall and is 3.5 inches deep. Overall They are in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. The ends of both crowns are cracked. Part of a bracket is missing off the right side. There are dowels at the ends. Please look at the pictures carefully. SUPERB 19thc GOTHIC MAHOGANY WOOD PEDIMENT WITH GREEN MAN CARVING
Superb 19thc gothic mahogany wood pediment with the head of the Green Man carved to centre. Dating c.1860. A fine gothic pediment with the Green Man to centre with oak leaves crowning the head and with scrolled arms. The carved head has excellent detail to the face and the wood having a lovely patina. Measures 5.25" max height x 13" Condition is excellent and age commensurate. All as per images. A superb collectable mid 19th c gothic mahogany pediment carved with the Green Man.
