Overall this piece is in great condition for its age. The top is showing some wear. Scuffs and scrapes. There is a split in the top board on the left side as well. I do not know the maker or exact date this was made. It is antique and will not be perfect. Measurements are 59 ¼ inches tall, 42 ½ inches side to side and 20 inches front to back. Antique 1920's Kindergarten School Desk vintage Cast Iron Base is really nice! I t is in very good shape- not layered w ith layers and layers of varnish. Polyeurethane or paint etc. Nicely painted red with eagle decal. Seat is wood and metal steel and marked Pat'd July 28. 1925 or 26. T he desk top is wood and lifts open to store paper and supplies perfectly. Cle an inside- compartment measures 3" deep. Both the seat and the desktop operate as they should. Desktop measures 20 1/4" x 14" This desk measures 25 1/2" tall from back of chair to floor. I think the height on the seat and desk can be adjusted. From back to front this desk measures 26" long. This is a great piece for display. For a play desk for your little ones, or to home-school and keep everything organized and everyone on-task in an educational ... moretype setting! Beautiful old desk with chair. In good vintage condition; the desk has some marks and the name Lynne in old style writing on it. The metal shows some rust. The wood connection at the back of the desk has slightly come undone as the wood seems to have moved a bit with age. However this does not affect the usability of the item and it is otherwise in good sturdy conditon. The lit of the desk can be moved to access the storage space underneath. There is a secret door behind the crown on the top of the piece that has a lock and opens to the center section. The doors are paneled and the black inlay is very nice on them. The center has a large label on the back interior wall that shows a picture of the building and talks about the company that made this piece. The desk has a black leather type writing area that lifts out and there is more secret storage underneath it. The desk top is slanted toward the user. There are 4 ringed legs. This piece has a great patina and is in great condition for its age. It is antique and may not be perfect. I do not know the exact date it was made. It was made by the Pettibone Mfg. Co. in Cincinnati. OH. There is a brass tag on the center front of the desk part that says the company name and location. It says LIBRARY AND SOCIETY GOODS as well. The measurements are: Base: 29 ½ inches tall, 38 5/8 inches side to side and 30 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 33 pounds. RARE 1800's Spinet Desk with Crocodile Vinyl Top. Also known as a Piano Desk. This spinet desk is from around the late 1800's, I think. I am not sure if it's cherry or mahogany. Newly refinished and topped with a crocodile vinyl and nickel plated studs. Tapered legs have nice detail. Legs remove, for economical shipping, or easy pick up. All wood ornamentation is in tact and beautiful. Does have a few gouges here and there, that have been darkened, which makes them much harder to see, looks more like a distressed look, but with minor distress. There is also a larger gouge in in the very edged at the front top, see pictures. Work surface has 2 recessed finger pulls. Work surface pulls out to 15" deep(front to back) and 24 1/4" wide. And is 27 1/4" off floor. Bi fold top gives you access to the interior and work surface. ... moreInterior has 6 cubbies. Exterior has 2 drawers. This is a very handsome hardwood school master's desk from the 1870-1890 era. It has wear that might be expected with its age to the finish. But nothing obvious and it is ready for display. The desk is solid and all parts function as expected. I believe that it is made of cherry, but no guarantees. There are 3 interior drawers and all have tight, skillfully made dovetail joints. The dimensions are 39 1/2" high at the back of the desk, 23" deep and 33" wide.

Antique Hepplewhite Federal style tambour desk. This piece is handcrafted primarily of solid dark mahogany. Adorned with linear and bell-flower inlays in contrasting woods. The top half of the desk has two tambour-covered sections containing three pigeon holes and a small drawer. There is also a locked center section. Sorry- no key! The lower part has a fold out. Hinged writing surface atop two full-sized drawers. Drawers are mahogany, with ash as the secondary wood. Dovetailed joints and wonderful nautical-themed brass pulls. I have for sale an antique Moulthrop school desk and chair. It was made in the early 1900's by Langslow Fowler. Which was a early manufacturer of Arts and Crafts furniture in Rochester. NY. They competed with Gustav Stickley. Stickly Brothers and Roycroft. It is made of oak and iron hardware. The chair has a drawer that slides open for books. There is a inkwell holder is attached to the metal brace on the side. The black metal brace has the name MOULTHROP stamped on the bottom. And it can be raised to adjust the desk height. Angle and depth(can slide forward and back) The seat height from the floor is 16.5" The desk can adjust height from 27.5" to 31.5" The desk depth can slide from 9.5" to 14.5" The size of the desk top is 12" by 16" This is a very solid well built. This antique Marshall Field's roll top is in good condition. I know that this piece originally came from the Marshall Fields headquarters before it shut down and then was sold to a Merrill Lynch executive. There are signs of wear on the corners and the legs from a desk chair but is in very good condition overall for being nearly 100 years old. All drawers open and close smoothly. And so does the roll top.
