The secretary is in fair condition, and unfortunately has some ... moreissues. The shelves are loose within the bookshelf / Vitrine section although the glass is intact on the front of the door. The secretary has a mirror, that is on the top at the right side and unbelievably gorgeous carved details and applied accents all throughout. It also has the original metal hardware, which is absolutely incredible and ornate as well. The front door of the secretary that would open down as a writing service has been broken off, and in half horizontally, however, the hinges are intact and it could easily be repaired. This door is 14" top to bottom, 20" wide. There is a lot of light staining and wear as well as scratches and dings to the finish.

It features four drawers and one storage compartment behind it's one door. The desk has a truly unique shape and design. It has ornately carved panels on the front, sides, and even the back. The desk has a large amount of surface scratches on it, particularly ... moreon the top surface. I am unsure of its actual age. I would guess that it dates to the 1940’s or possibly a bit earlier. It has the original hardware on the drawers although some of the drawer pulls are missing parts of their swivel handles. The desk drawers pull in and out smoothly and have dovetail joints. There are some nice carved details to the front of the desk, but it will most certainly need to be refinished as there are a lot of scratches on it, and some stains inside the drawers as well. The desk is 30” tall, with the space for the chair being 21” high, and 17.5” wide. The desk is 48" long, and 18" wide front to back at most.

The wood is absolutely stunning as you will see in my photos. This desk features three drawers that lock when the roll top is down. This desk has tons of character as you will see in my photos. This investment grade furniture is built to last. Structurally it appears to be in very nice condition. It has all of its hardware and no breaks in the construction. There is no key for the original lock. The webbing behind the roll top is in great condition without any mold or major damage. The roll top moves up and down fairly easily. Lovely character desk painted a pretty aqua blue. The desk has two shelves on the bottom and a drawer on the outside. When it opens up there is lots of space for storing things. The lady I bought this from did a wonderful job painting it but for some reason the little drawer seems to stick. I fell in love when I saw this unique little desk. The color is so retro and cheerful. And very very rare to find a 30s drop leaf desk. It isn't perfect as some little edges have been painted over and there are a few little nicks off the paint but this just gives it so much more character. The height of the desk is 50" from bottom to top of desk, 25 1/2" from side to side& 15 3/4" from front to back. It is solid wood with burled front arches on the top front of the door( see pictures) The doors open with small pulls& the desk automatically comes down. A vintage Roll Top Desk made of Oak. Circa 1920. We are pleased to present this vintage Roll Top Desk for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood and dates to around the 1920's. The Desk has seven(7) drawers. The center one with individual lock, and the others locking when the roll top is down. A variety of nooks and compartments offer storage above the desk surface. The height of the upper section is low enough to allow this piece to be placed in the open, and still offer a view behind the Desk. The back is finished, further assisting an open placement. Keys are included for the two major locks, but missing for the small compartment near the right side(see last picture) The Desk measures 43 inches high. 54 inches wide, and 30-1/2 inches deep. We did not find any marks on it to identify the manufacturer. The Desk can be disassembled ... moreinto several pieces, to ease the task of moving it and particularly to simplify the job of getting it through doorways. Wear is consistent with the age of the piece. Exterior surfaces look quite good with only a few areas of worn finish. The working surfaces including the two pull-outs show considerably more wear as would be expected on a well used piece of furniture. There is no serious damage or issues. And we rate the overall condition as very good. This is a charming example of the classic Oak Roll Top Desk. With the added flexibility of a finished back allowing it to be placed in the open, as well as against a wall. Walnut Trestle Table This is an antique trestle table. It is composed of solid walnut and has a medium-tone finish. The table top is a long rectangle. Supported by two pedestals, connected by a trestle. The pedestals feature carved designs. The design portion appears to have been applied to the pedestals rather than carved from the wood of the pedestal. The color of this portion is slightly different than the surrounding wood. The table has the following dimensions: Height: 29.3/4" Width: 66" Depth: 22" Diameter of pedistals(at widest point) 6 1/2" Width of feet: 4 5/8" This is in great condition overall with some general signs of age or use. It appears as though the table was refinished at some point. Though I am unable to say for certain. All of the table parts and hardware seem to be original, except for 4 screws ... moreon the bottom of the table braces. The rest of the screws are older, straight slot screws while these 4 are newer, phillips head screws. There are a few heavier scratches on the table surface, which we have attempted to show in pictures. There may be other small scratches or spots of wear, but I see nothing of significance to report. Stow Davis Wood Tanker Style Desk Heavy Solid Piece
The measurements are approximately 52 inches by 30 inches deep and approximately 30.5 inches in height. It has the interesting solid legs as seen in the photograph. I have never seen this style Stow Davis Desk before. Especially in wood as I typically see these in metal. Beautiful old Stow Davis Wood Desk. I am not sure of the age but was told from the estate I bought it at that it was from the 1940's. They said it was the tanker style. It is a heavy solid wood piece. There are some scratches as you can see in the pictures and I have done nothing to it as far as cleaning or polishing. The drawers all open and close without difficulty. Has two slide out panels over each draw stack as pictured. Not perfect as you will see in the photos as it does have scratches but I would think they could be sanded out or covered with stain. I do not want ... moreto do anything to the finish as I have been told it is better to leave it as is so the final owner can decide to do what they want. The drawers have solid brass lion head pulls. The raised back top section of desk has an opening that was originally used for files. Office clip boards etc. and has recently had the the inside corners notched to inset a piece of glass to turn the top section into an upper shelf. Vintage wood writing desk - exquisite design & quality - solid fine condition
This box has been in my possession for at lea st 35 years. I purchased it at a large antique convention in our city and I remember seeing it and my breath was taken away. The beautiful design on the outside gives it a rich ness that words can't describe. The wood is warm and th e construction is flawless. There are a few small scratches if you examine with a magni fying glass. The origin al brass hinges remain sturd y. The key has always been missing and I have not tried to find a replacement. This is 12" long. 8" across and 3½" deep. The felt on the inside has been replaced and was done by the previous owner. I have noticed that some wri ting desks have bottles for ink. This one does not have the bottles but there is plenty of space for writing instruments of all sorts. The solid construction speaks for itself. Check ... moreout all the pictures. Antique Solid Wood Desk& Wood Chair. Gorgeous burl wood on front of drawers. Top is oak and edges of writing surface are tiger oak. Original mission style mid century wooden handles. Rabbet style joints. The wood is thick and this is a very sturdy. Solid desk. It is stamped 2/3/1944 as the manufacture date. Two of the drawers have built in wooden organizers. Paneled sides and back. The top surface does have some wear and moisture rings which is common with furniture of this age. See photos. All else is in beautiful condition. Antique Butlers Desk & Dresser Solid Wood needs Refinishing or maybe Shabby Look
We are selling our antique butlers drop front desk and dresser. As I remember we were told it was made from Maple wood but I do not know how to tell. It needs to be refinished because the finish has gone bad. It is also missing a small piece of wood on the left top corner of the desk drop front but since it is behind the front surface it should be an easy fix. Antique Doten Dunton Desk Library Table Solid Wood Original
5 feet wide x 3 feet deep the height from floor to top is 30 1/2 inches. From floor to bottom edge of drawers is 25 1/2 inches has a small phone connection box inside on bottom left side. Can be seen in pic, no wires has scratches and other surface issues throughout; two indentations on front top right corner. Can be seen in pic, I do NOT know if the white spots on inside of right side are paint or something else that will wash off there are NO drawer'pull' type hardware. But looks as if it had it at one point has two small drawers on each side with the'wood burned' imprint inside; the larger drawer in the center has the paper label underneath has 2 pull out writting/work surfaces on each side above the small drawers. Left one has a piece of wood broken off, can be seen in pic has small brass pieces on the bottom of each leg. ... moreI think all four are there(sorry it is hard to tell and my back is out so I couldn't bend down to check each leg) needs a very good cleaning but otherwise still a beautifull piece under all the dust/dirt have NO idea what type of wood it is made out of not sure if this is considered a desk or library table. I'm guessing its a desk because of the drawers have no idea what the age is very heavy and I do not think it comes apart. But I do not know has been in storage for 18 years.
