Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots around the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. This dashingly handsome man is proudly holding the cape of the bull's certain unwavering demise while striking the pose of the legends of day's past. He stands roughly 5" inches) tall is just about 3.5" across. This guy has never been paired with the pepper shaker in the 15 plus years that he has been displayed in our home and there is a bit of flaked off paint on the cape which appears not to have the same type of glaze as the rest of this statue. I was able to chip away at them. Clean everything and added new cork bottoms! These are truly gorgeous AND usable antiques! Definitely gift-worthy! They stand 3-3/8" high and are 1-7/8" at the widest area. A really nice light sage color with gold leafing around the top and the base. Antique China Porcelain Salt Shaker Green with Pink Roses
You are bidding on this Antique Porcelain China Salt Shaker. It is Green with Pink Roses. It is unmarked. It is embellished with gold dots around edge of shaker holes. There are smudges of gold(seen in pictures- looks black) This is a good size shaker. I have several pieces that go with this Shaker listed separately. It measures 2 5/8" tall x 2 5/8" across. ANTIQUE PORCELAIN GILT DELICATE FLORAL SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS JAPAN
Up for your consideration is a beautiful pair of antique porcelain gilt floral salt& pepper shakers. These belonged to my grandmother. The motif is a delicate floral of blues and pinks on a pale yellow stripe that goes around the middle(hard to see in pictures. See picture 2) There is gold plating on the tops(with some minor use wear again see pictures) and a thin stripe of gold on the bottoms. Near the top is a stripe of spring green followed by a black intricate geometric border. These little beauties are exquisite! Very nice to excellent vintage condition with no cracks.
