ANTIQUE PASTEL COLORED SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS WITH GOLD S & P
You are bidding on an antique set of salt and pepper shakers. This set is from my Grandmother's estate. They belonged to her parents. The salt shaker is approx. 4" tall and is a delicate pink with a cork stopper on the bottom where you would fill the shaker, the top of the shaker has a gold S with an elegant wreath creating arms to hold the S. The pepper shaker is a soft mint green with a cork stopper on the bottom just like the pink shaker. The pepper shaker is also approx. 4" tall and has the gold"P" that is surrounded by the wreath arms. There is a bit of wear on the bottom of the shakers, you can see this in the pictures. There is also a bit of discoloration on the mint green pepper shaker, I think it may come off with a washing but I am not certain.

This is a very unusual pair of salt and pepper shakers. One is holding the other players head and the other is holding the football without his head. They are in near perfect condition. No cracks. The tall one does have a tiny chipped paint(blue) from his pants. One on each buttocks and one on the right knee. I didn't even notice them when I was taking pictures. The helmets look like the paint has came off but if you look closer, you can see that they were painted to show the head. That kind of helmet really shows the age.There are corks in the bottom of each one. One has a Japan sticker the other one is missing. The back of the bench is broken(see photos) but the sides and bottom are in great shape, and the shakers can still sit on it. This item is from my aunt’s estate, where she lived with her mother, husband and sister. She was 103 years old when she died. My aunt loved kitsch and had a lot of it. She tied the shakers to the bench with ribbon, which was her trademark when she loved something(left the ties on) looks like she tied it too hard, which caused the break. Bottom finish of Squaw has missing paint and is dark pottery. Wood Corks are in very good condition. Both pieces has JAPAN printed in Black Ink. The crevices of both pieces has the old aged stain(not crazing but dirty stain) should be cleaned but I will not do that. As I do not know what to use. ~ Antique Salt Box ~ This listing is for an antique porcelain salt box. The white box has a fancy raised design with angled front corners and a decorative cornice on the front edge. The front has a blue windmill and house scene. Gold details on the cornice and edges, and a word in gold that could be"Salt" or"Salz" the gold script is very old and faded, and I'm not sure what it says. The sides have smaller versions of the wind mill scene. The hinged top is shaped to match the shape of the box. The backing is also wood with a carved design. A hole in the backing was used for hanging it on the wall. NOTE: the backside of the wood backing doesn't look too good as apparently it wasn't taken down when the kitchen was painted. And there are a lot of paint drips on it. The inside of the box is stained and dirty. The ... morebacking is held on by 2 short nuts and bolts. And wood washers. NOTE: there is a hairline crack above the top bolt(see photo) A lot of the gold is worn and faded; some is totally gone. Some of it is still there and in good shape. Measures approximately 5-7/8" tall without the cornice; 6-3/4" to the top of the cornice; 4" front to back. And 4-3/4" side to side. The wooden backing is 11-3/4" tall. This is a nice pair of antique salt and pepper shakers. They have a hand painted rooster pattern and a brown sponged trim. There is a foil sticker on the bottom of one but I can't read it. I believe these were made in Japan but they are not marked. No chips or cracks but needs new corks and they are heavily crazed from age and need to be soaked. I have had good success removing this type of discoloration from age by soaking in oxyclean solution or bleach and water mixture. They measure 3.25 inches tall. Antique salt and pepper shakers with roosters and matching tea pot in green and creamy beige color with red roosters and red flower accents. beautiful pieces. a matching antique salt and pepper& tea pot set. the tea pot has had two repairs.one inside lid and one inside the lip of tea pot.the pot also has mild crazing through out which adds to the piece in my opinion. it is still beautiful. as shown in pictures.please look at all the pictures. the salt and pepper shakers are in very good condition. no nics or cracks or repairs.one of the corks fell through and is inside the shaker. the tea pot measures approximately 7.5 inches tall with lid on. approximately 8 inches wide from spout to handle. salt and pepper shakes are approximately 3 inches tall and 4 inches wide and are signed Japan. also something else but i can not read it. thanks ... morefor looking.paypal only and USA shipping only

This features a girl from Alsace, France in traditional wear. Lusterware was used often in the 1920's and 30's and it gives the item a rainbow effect.
