The lamp is in working order and comes with 2.4 metres of new flex but not the plug as it is a French one. It is in very good used condition with some very minor signs of use to the reflector's surface. The reflector has its original high temperature painted surface and still has the bulb wattage/voltage sticker intact. The switch is in the base. I have included the lamp's weighted vehicle brake disc base in the sale. These lamps are very sort after and nice examples like this are becoming difficult to find. The photos don't do it justice! The lamp takes a Standard Bayonet cap bulb(B22) which are available at all DIY outlets. Bulb not included. The maximum wattage is 150w. Jielde lamps were designed by Jean-Louis Domecq for direct mounting on machine tools and for use in workshops. The lamps have now become particularly fashionable for use in loft style apartments and in homes generally as desk lamp/floor or wall lamps. So, hence I have fitted a trailing flexible lead to make the light more useable in the home. I have displayed this light using a vehicle brake disc which provides a solid base to show a typical method of mounting the light. Heavy sprockets. Hardwood- anything heavy will do the job. The light can also be fixed to a wall if required using its mounting base/bracket which has 3 holes in it. Although the light isn't heavy, it will require a solid wall and sturdy fixings to mount it as the movement required to adjust the lamp to the desired position will put stress on the mounting. If you do not want the brake disc included in the sale, then I will discount the postage by £10. Dimensions: Maximum extended height is 110cm( 44" The shade dia. is 16cm. They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. From the"How to care for SIMMONS FURNITURE guide" SIMMONS FURNITURE protected and enhanced with Du Pont satin-finished HI-BAKE DULUX. SIMMONS Steel furniture is specially finished with Hi-Bake DULUX for outstanding beauty and durability. DULUX is an exceptionally hard finish with excellent moisture resistance that protects against rust or corrosion. With proper care. SIMMONS furniture remains beautifully new for years. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. If you need larger pics, or perhaps a different view, contact me and I'll send you the requested pics asap. The footstool's fabric is intact- no rips. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Someone removed what appears to be shipping tape- and that managed to remove some of the color in a small area which is more noticeable in the pictures than in person. VINTAGE SCHOOL DESK Made by H.W. Eclipse/Heywood. Age unknown. Desk is in parts. Not sure if it is complete but they are all from the same desk. Check pictures carefully. Cast iron base is broken on one side. See photo. Wooden desk top measures 21x13 1/2. Desktop has an ink hole. Seat measures 12x15. These wooden parts have a beautiful patina with plenty of character. Antique school desk. Except for hardware the desk top and cubby are made entirely of wood. Desktop does have a crack in the top of it with a little accompaning warp traveling the entire length of the desktop. See picture# 3. However there is a conspicuous lack of scratching. Gouging or grafitti. I don`t think this was ever sanded down either. The steel base may have been painted over at some time as I see brush marks in the paint job. Whatever the case it was done a long time ago. I`m pretty sure this was made for younger kids. I don`t think any kid beyond third or fourth grade would be comfortable in this all day. The size of the seat and base are a little on the small side. The top however is full sized. It also is old enough to be sporting an ink well hole. Seat is in great shape. Nothing loose. Minimal cracking if any. No warp. No graffiti. ... moreMeasurements. Desktop. 24 x 18 inches. Seat 14 x 12 inches. Minimum height of desktop from the ground. 22 1/2 to 24 inches. It`s tapered. 22 1/2 inches at the low end and 24 inches at the high end. Both top and seats heights are adjustable. The top has an apprx. 6 inch adjustment range and the seat apprx. 4 inches. So you can move them up from the values described above. Adjustments made by setting a 1/4 hex nut. See picture# 6. Thats for the top. The seat has an identical set screw of it`s own. If you leave that screw loose the seat swivels. Thats a nice bonus but it only works if the seats all the way down. Base measures 28 1/4 x 18 1/4 inches. Weight without packaging apprx. 45 lbs. Shipping. UPS ground only because of it`s size. I would rather use the post offices parcel post service but the surcharge applied makes it not worth it. Vintage Haskell of Pittsburgh Double Pedestal Steel Desk
This is a vintage Haskell desk. It is in great condition for it's years and has minimal scratches on the sides and little to none on the top surface. It measures 60" wide by 30" deep. I has the two side trays that slide out from above the top drawers to add to your work surface. It also holds hanging file folders in the deep right drawer. Overall I would conservatively rate it as a 7-8 out of 10 condition. This was passed down from my grandfather and has been kept safe all these years. There is a small area of rust starting on the middle of the right side that looks like it can be rubbed out with some car wax. I just have not done it yet. There is some oxidation on the aluminum legs starting. But likely can be cleaned with some kind of cleaner. Please feel free to ask any questions. Here is a unique warehouse find that our staff has spiffed up into a real centerpiece for your office or studio. The metal desk has been sand-blasted. Wire brushed, and finished with clear lacquer to obtain a clean, industrial look. Long ago, it looks like someone added a metal top and casters to this desk. This unique desk has been Outfitted With a Fostoria lamp and wired into the desk to use the On/Off switch built into the desk on the right hand side. The desk measures 45.5" L x 23.5" W x 29" T. Each of the drawers is 20.5" L x 4" W x 2.5" T and has a space for a tag. The casters are 2" in diameter and the chair space is 30" wide. There is a shelf below the desk that is 12.75" from the ground and measures 30" W x 13" D. The switch for the lamp is about 13" in from the right side ... moreof the desk. Norman Bel Geddes 1930's Modern/Industrial/Machine Age/Art Deco Design Metal Desk/ Vanity with Stool Green& White Pastel Colors These rock solid pieces were acquired by me several years ago. They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. If you need larger pics, or perhaps a different view, contact me and I'll send you the requested pics asap. The footstool's fabric is intact- no rips. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Someone removed what appears to be shipping tape- and that managed to remove some of the color in a small area which is more noticeable in the pictures than in person. This old desk was clearly used as a work table of some sort as the thick Linoleum top does have many cuts dings and bruises. But it is still on there solid and the entire top is completely covered. Other than the top, everything else is made of steel. The steel parts are not dented or broken, but they do show signs of age like a scuff here and there and the odd paint splatter, you know, that sort of thing. The desk has a single shallow drawer. The top measures 60 by 34 inches. the total height is 30 inches. The drawer is complete and in fine working condition. The maker tag is on the face of the drawer and reads"Art Metal Jamestown New York. I believe this desk dates to the 1930s or so. There are surprisingly few of these desks on the market, so get this one while you can. This is a heavy table and weighs very close to 100 pounds. ANTIQUE ART DECO c1926 AGED STEEL BRASS LEG LIBRARY OFFICE DESK TABLE ONE DRAWER
We are pleased to offer this wonderful antique desk. The desk is constructed of steel and has heavy brass(does not accept a magnet) around the bottom of the legs. The desk was produced by Art Metal and manufactured in Jamestown. NY. It is dated 11/26 in both the drawer and on the inner section of the desk. The desk retains the original, chocolate brown paint on the sides, front and the back. The top has no paint(maybe originally designed this way) and is a silver, steel color. Each exterior side of the desk features a large, stenciled, Art Deco styled medallion. I think this was probably added to the desk at some point and do not think it is original. It does give the desk a unique look, however. The desk was made for reading or writing. It does not have side storage but does have a large center drawer. A partial foil manufacturer's sticker ... moreis located inside the desk. In their most prosperous years, Art Metal won exclusive rights to furnish public libraries, offices, etc. with their noncombustible furniture. They made excellent quality pieces and this desk is a fine representation of their quality. The desk is in very good structural condition. It is heavy and quite sturdy. The finish has a general aged appearance(which I happen to like) The paint has peeled in areas and the top has some aged, rusted spots. If you don't care for the aged character, you could strip and refinish pretty easily. The desk measures 28" tall. It is 29.75" wide and 24" deep(front to back) It has a knee space height of 24" The drawer is 17" wide. 13" front to back and 1.5" tall(interior space measurements) THE DESK IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. Vtg Mid Century 40s 50s Mod Modern Industrial Steel Red Tanker Desk Rehabbed
Terrific. Rehabbed tanker desk from the 1940's-1950's. I had this painted at an auto body shop and have some left over paint in a can for touch ups and color match. It is in nice condition. The top of the desk is raw steel and could be sanded and sealed to nice effect if desired or left with natural patina. This desk locks and has original keys. You lock the center drawer and it locks the other three drawers automatically. The feet on the desk can be leveled to desired height. There is a hole by the desk's shelf to hide electrical cords if needed. There is also a shelf underneath where a chair would fit. It measures 56" inches long, 31" deep, and 31.5" tall. It would be a great desk for an artist or loft space. Very unique! Bring an extra person for pick up. It is a bit cumbersome.

Was originally green, raw wood top has the vintage patina of a well-used piece. Huge desk made to last, has pre-drilled holes in its curvy feet so it could be attached to floor. Seven drawers, left three& middle are lockable, bin pull handles, fluted legs, detailed drawers. Ready to be stripped& lacquered, would be very impressive. The base is a generous 36" deep, by 60" wide& 30& 1/2" high. The wood top has a split, we have not repaired, leaving that to the discretion of the purchaser, it is 38&1/2" deep x 62& 1/2" wide& 1" thick. The split is approx. 8&1/2" in from the front.

This is a Steelmaster double pedestal desk with powder coated light brown surface and wood grain laminate top fabricated by Art Steel Company. New York c1940s. It is in excellent vintage condition. On the left side are three standard size storage drawers with the top one shallow that has a piece that slides over for another surface(same on the right side) Right pedestal has two standard drawers with a deep file drawer on the bottom. It also features a center pencil drawer. The top is a light wood grain laminate with a chrome wrap around bumper. Heres the scoop! Top width at 55”w x 24”d x 29 1/2”h. Kneehole measures 24”w x 25 1/2”h. Desk retains original flush chrome handles. There are a few very minor scratches and dings that are not noticeable unless scrutinized up close– the top has some spots of wear that I have noted in the last several ... morephotos. The good thing about this desk(aside from the design) is that. Contrary to how it looks, it really doesn't have any dents or dings that you might expect to find in a metal desk that's this old. I only found 2 things structurally that need pointed out& neither one is a big deal. First. On the top in the right corner there is a 1" cut(see pic#9) The second is a small bulge on the back at the bottom near the leg on the right(see last pic) Not my desk so I'm not taking a mallet to it to fix it(selling for a friend) Norman Bel Geddes industrial designed desk manufactured by the Simmons Furniture Company. The short legs are removable. Big green knobs, may or may not be original. Drawers slide nicely but you must pull firmly. Top has a small slice cut, and a few dents. There are brackets in the back that were to hold a mirror, so i am guessing its meant to be a vanity but it makes a nice desk. Top is 21" x 44.5" Height is 31" Depth is 21" Legs are 11" long.

The desk is constructed of steel and has heavy brass(does not accept a magnet) around the bottom of the legs. The desk was produced by Art Metal and manufactured in Jamestown. NY. It is dated 11/26 in both the drawer and on the inner section of the desk. The desk retains the original, chocolate brown paint on the sides, front and the back. The top has no paint(maybe originally designed this way) and is a silver, steel color. Each exterior side of the desk features a large, stenciled, Art Deco styled medallion. I think this was probably added to the desk at some point and do not think it is original. It does give the desk a unique look, however. The desk was made for reading or writing. It does not have side storage but does have a ... morelarge center drawer. A partial foil manufacturer's sticker is located inside the desk. In their most prosperous years, Art Metal won exclusive rights to furnish public libraries, offices, etc. with their noncombustible furniture.
