They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. From the"How to care for SIMMONS FURNITURE guide" SIMMONS FURNITURE protected and enhanced with Du Pont satin-finished HI-BAKE DULUX. SIMMONS Steel furniture is specially finished with Hi-Bake DULUX for outstanding beauty and durability. DULUX is an exceptionally hard finish with excellent moisture resistance that protects against rust or corrosion. With proper care. SIMMONS furniture remains beautifully new for years. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. If you need larger pics, or perhaps a different view, contact me and I'll send you the requested pics asap. The footstool's fabric is intact- no rips. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Someone removed what appears to be shipping tape- and that managed to remove some of the color in a small area which is more noticeable in the pictures than in person. The details of which are as follows: Rinck manufactures its furniture in a historical workshop located in Paris since ... more1871. Meubles RINCK" is an entity specializing in high end furniture inside the RINCK group. The desk is 52" wide x 27" deep x 30 1/2" high. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark by M. Rinck and the seal of"UNION NATle INDUSTRIE FRANCAISES DE L'AMEUBLEMENT" The 3 drawers all lock with a deadbolt and each have their own key. The two outside drawers measure 10 1/2" wide X 20" deep X 3" high with the middle drawer measuring 15 1/2" wide X 21" deep X 3" high. This desk was my father's pride and joy. My earliest memories of it date back to the 1970s when we lived in NYC and it was in his private study. It is in excellent condition with signs of use on the burgundy leather working area on top which also has a couple of stains. A competent furniture restorer can easily replace this leather piece but I would order a replacement directly from Rinck to preserve the desk's heritage. The following information was supplied by Rinck in reply to my recent email inquiry regarding the desk's provenance: Dear Sir, I can confirm that desk is coming from our company and Parisian work shop. I can not be more precise about the year. Because all client's files are archived, but: It is a Louis XV style desk, traditionally manufactured with a solid oak structure, with mortaises and tenons joined, hand dovetail joins for the drawers, black lacquered finishing, ornate with sand casted, chiseled, and ormolu set of bronze. The round UNIFA stamp on the underside of the desk is there to assure the desk has respectability and was constructed to the standards of the Professional Union. The UNIFA stamp also confirms your desk is from the period between 1960 and 1980. Because after it would have been stamped"Groupement ébénisterie d'art" As Rinck at this period was only working on

Up for your consideration are 20 ornate industrial/machine age looking water valves or handle shut offs.Made of iron and aluminum. All have a few dings and scuff. Rust marks, a little paint from being used through out the years. They measure between 2" wide and 2 1/2" wide. Total weight is about 2 1/2 pounds. Great for funky drawer pulls. Antique G. E. Co. Arts & Crafts Industrial Era Copper & Diffuse Glass Table Lamp
18-1/2" high G. E. looks bronze but is probably copper) lamp which has the old"bumpy" diffused glass held by the copper frame& small rounded brass screws. As shown. would look great with a good looking slag glass) It has no damage, just the patina of age with a few gentle"bumps" at the top corners and edges. All of the glass is intact with no cracks or breaks and the lamp is good, solid and very heavy for its size. I am assuming it is made by"G. E. as the switch indicates or, perhaps, it was just a G. E. switch. The lower edges of the shade measure about 10-1/4" square and the base measures about 4-1/4" square. I think it has its original wiring and cord. Works just fine. it will be shipped as one unit with shade in place.

Up for auction is a Vintage Brass Letter"L" that was removed from an old building in Boston. This brass wall letter measures about 3 5/8" tall and about 2 7/8" wide" wide at the widest point. 1/2" thick. It's a solid brass piece weighing about 8 ozs. There are three threaded holes for mounting in the back(screws not included) or it can stand on its own. It's a nice piece of brass that has weathered some has some dings and scuff marks. ITEM: For sale is a lovely Keswick School of Industrial Arts brass chamber stick from the arts and crafts period. Nice punched pattern of leaves and berries with a patterned wide handle-looks like celtic animals on that. The sconce come out of the stem-see pictures. No makers mark except for the metal workers scratched name on the back. The sctach mark seems to say: Dalyell? Definitely KSIA and similar pattern item can be seen on the link below: www.christies.com/lotFinder/lot_details.aspx?intObjectID=3806577 The handle appears to be contemporary to the piece in terms of time period and there is a hole beneath it on the bottom. The handle may have been added by the/a metal worker as opposed to a loop one? ... moreOr the loop one taken off and this one placed instead for some reason. And this would have been done in the period roughly when it was made-NOT a newer addition. Lots of dirt etc beneath the joint of the handle. Either way it is sold as it is and the actual handle is the same quality and construction as the base-ie well made. I am no expert so please look carefully and make sure you are happy before you bid. Circa 1900-1910. CONDITION: Good. No breaks or dents. Some wear here and there and some dirt and odd mark. Clips beneath the stick soldered up a little. Up for auction is a wonderful example of the industrial 1930's-50's Arts& Crafts or Mission style factory coat rack. If you love industrial. Here is a wonderful item. Right out of the head office! The hooks match the post and they are all original solid brass. The post has a beautiful Craftsman top and each side is an I-beam like design right out of Craftsman Design 101. The original paint is in good condition except for the base that has paint loss from wet coats being hung for years but is not serious. It could be restored very easily. This is a steel plate constructed piece meant to survive workmen's use. This was not for the home but has such a nice design that today it would be an interesting decorator piece. Vintage industrial arts Uhl chair co. Toledo, Ohio ajustable with swivel seat
Really nice Toledo chair with casters and a swivel seat. The seat adjusts from 16" to 19" measuring from the front of the chair. The back support adjusts from 28 1/2" to 31 1/2" from the top edge. The wood on this chair is near perfect. They just don't come any better than this. The Uhl company decal was covered over by the Wagner's stationery store decal from York. Pa.

3 WIRE TRAYS FROM AN OLD ICE CREAM COMPANY Industrial Arts / Machine Age
I am offering these 3 heavy duty metal wire trays that were used in an old ice cream plant to move product along a filling line. You are bidding on all 3 trays. Each tray measures 7 1/2" x 27" x 3 1/4" tall. If you stack all 3 they stand approx 10 1/2" tall. As you can see they were designed to be stacked with the end tabs sticking up. Each of the 3 trays has some slight damage. One tray has 2 broken weld spots. A second tray is missing 2 end tabs and a 3rd tray has a few bent pieces that will bend back. These just scream industrial arts, machine age. I am not sure of the age of the items. They have no makers marks on them. No reserve. BUYER PAYS ACTUAL SHIPPING CHARGES. This is the 1918 Yearbook for the College of Industrial Arts in Denton. Texas( now Texas Women's University) All the expected ingredients found in yearbooks are included.faces of faculty. Teachers, buildings, students, activities, etc. Also includes local advertisements. Still. There are unique features in the book which give an interesting quality hard to find. One is this is one of the oldest yearbooks which can be found for the college Also. As a women's college in 1918, a certain fashion dominates throughout. Book can be used for historical reference for the school. Area(lots of advertisements included) social, or fashion. Can also be used as a reference for genealogy. fashion study. Or for adding to a collection School printed each owner's/ graduate's name on front of the book. Owner of book was Aline Shepherd There are ... moreno handmarks in book. Only wear I see is expected for a book of this type and age. The spine ends have some peeling due to shelfwear. Especially at bottom, and front board has some peeling along the extreme outside edge. There is some light age toning. Or yellowing of the pages, but no stains. All pages are present and attached. Because of weight and age of book, it has grown"wiggily" as the lower one inch of the hinge is a bit opened at some portions of the book. Still. It presently remains secure. It's a beautiful book Measures right at 8" X 10-3/4" with 352 numbered pages

Catalog includes some wonderful ads at the back as well. Great association piece: has the original penciled ownership signature of William T. Warren faintly written on the front cover; there are a few penciled notes in his hand on the outside rear cover as well. Warren was senior partner in Birmingham. Alabama's best known architectural firm, Warren Knight& Davis, and this catalog includes more buildings by them(Alabama Power Co. Tutwiler House on Mountain Brook Parkway, Independent Presbyterian Church, etc. than any other Birmingham architectural firm. Outer covers a bit dusty with a few spots; some wear at spine; pencil notes as mentioned; interior clean and tight. VERY GOOD. Some of the photos seem to have blue and/or aqua tinting but that is merely sunlight playing against my camera lens. All illustrations in b&w- NO BLUE! the fine print.

Antique Arts & Crafts 8 Gal Copper Factory Industrial Water Bucket Lid & Spigot
Very large 22" tall to the top of the handle on the lid and 14" wide water or liquid dispenser- bucket with a dark brass(maybe copper or bronze) spigot which extends another 5" from the can. It looks like the interior is galvanized and was originally used to dispense liquids. This is a very large/side piece so will take a large box for shipping. There are a few gentle"bumps" on the lower back but nothing significant. This is old and original and clean. it can probably continue to be utilized as a liquid dispenser.
