Antique Vintage Oak Wooden Tool Box Chest Filing Drawers Collectors Cabinet Vintage Tool Box/ Collectors cabinet made in the first part of the 20th Century circa 1920. Constructed of solid oak and of good quality construction. Dovetail joined with metal fixings to the corners of the case. There are catches which are in full working order which hold the front leaf in place when closed. The front leaf removes to reveal five graduating drawers each with it's original bakerlite drawer knob. The drawers are with the original baize lining excluding the bottom drawer as has been phtotographed. Also the original baize is missing from the fall front leaf- it has been later replaced but could do with re-lining. There are holes to the top of the case indicating there would have previously been a handle. And lso the lock has been removed from the ... morefall front. Folks, Here we have the Biggest and Best Solid Tiger Oak stacking filing cabinet we've ever had to offer. All the original brass hardware is still there and the condition is GREAT! The finish is an original medium honey oak with a gorgeous 120 year patina that changes hue with light of day. Overall dimensions are 33" wide. 18" deep and 57" high. RARE ca 1895 MACEY TIGER OAK FILE FILING CABINET DOCUMNT & BIG CARD FILES
FOLKS, It's been 3 years since we been lucky enough to have a"one piece" MACEY Tiger Oak File with interchangeable sections of various file styles. The grain pattern of the tiger oak are awesome. The finish has a medium rich honey hue. I believe this is an early model because the cuts of the solid tiger appear a little thicker than others we've had. There are two sections with two document holders with compression panels. The other two sections each have rare filing drawers measuring from the inside 11 1/4" wide. 4 3/4" high and 17 1/2" deep with compression panels also. Overall dimensions of this treasure are 15" wide. 21" deep and 55" high. Just remove the screw on the top of each section and you can change where the sections go for your preference! As seen in the pictures) There are even postal notice documents dating in the early 1960’s, still in them. Also pictured is one drawer that I removed the paint to show how awesome this would look restored. Luckily. When whoever painted it, did not do a vey good job. It literally took me 5 minutes to disassemble, sand, and re-assemble. There are 2 drawers missing, and I was going to make a matching cabinet door to cover that area. Weis was considered one of the top manufacturers of oak office furniture in the USA. Their quality was"Top Of The Line" This Tiger or Quartersawn Oak stacking file has a Mission Oak base. 2 Large Legal files, 2 document files, 2 large card files and a beautiful crown section signed with the"Weis" red decal.
