So I'm not sure where to start with this absolutely splendid mid-century modern streamlined tanker desk. ... moreIt has a tag on the lower right drawer that identifies the manufacturer as ASE(All-Steel Equipment) of Aurora, Illinois. It seems to be all steel apart from the desktop itself, which is tan formica or something similar. So let's give you some measurements. First. From the floor to the desktop is about 30" Second, it is about 60" wide and 30" deep, and the knee space between the two banks of drawers is about 25" It has two pullout keyboard shelves, one on each side, three undivded drawers on the left, a shallow center drawe with four small compartments at the front, and two divided drawers on the right. The top one is fitted with a metal business form organizer, and the deeper one below has a single vertical divider that can be adjusted by sliding it forward or back. As the pictures show. It has some overal surface scuffing and scratching, with rust just beginning to show through, indicating it might be time to strip it and upcycle it into something a but brighter or more colorful. Or leave it just the way it is is if you're oging for the used and worn look. We are also including the chair we found it with. Although it is more like a dining chair than a desk chair. It is all metal. I know, don't those legs legs look like turned wood? Because we don't want to get involved in crating this item for shipping. Vtg Mid Century 40s 50s Mod Modern Industrial Steel Red Tanker Desk Rehabbed
Terrific. Rehabbed tanker desk from the 1940's-1950's. I had this painted at an auto body shop and have some left over paint in a can for touch ups and color match. It is in nice condition. The top of the desk is raw steel and could be sanded and sealed to nice effect if desired or left with natural patina. This desk locks and has original keys. You lock the center drawer and it locks the other three drawers automatically. The feet on the desk can be leveled to desired height. There is a hole by the desk's shelf to hide electrical cords if needed. There is also a shelf underneath where a chair would fit. It measures 56" inches long, 31" deep, and 31.5" tall. It would be a great desk for an artist or loft space. Very unique! Bring an extra person for pick up. It is a bit cumbersome.

I have a gorgeous 2 piece set(Leather Top Executive Desk and Credenza) Once purchase has been made you can pick them up or we can arrange freight. There is no Stow Davis sign on the pieces but they are solid wood and it matches look of the leather top desk made by them so I am 99% sure it was produced by them. My landlord sold me these pieces and he did say that it was a $5.000 set. I am willing to sell these 2 pieces in their current condition for $900, but please note that they will require some work as they were used in an office setting on a regular basis. The desk has some scuffs, the edges of the desk show wear, and one of the drawers needs to be fixed. Also there are some scrapes on some of the legs. Vintage MCM Vanity This is a vintage Mid-Century Modern vanity. We believe it is composed wood with a light or blonde colored walnut. But are unable to say with complete certainty. It is marked"Wal. on the back. The 2 pedestals of the desk each feature a set of 3 drawers with fantastic MCM brass-plated pulls. The drawers are composed of solid wood and have sturdy, dovetail construction. There is also a center drawer above the knee-hole with a curved face. There is a piece of plate glass covering the center surface. We found one small chip on the front, under-surface of the glass. The vanity has the following dimensions: Height: With mirror: 66 1/4" Vanity alone: 38" Width: 48 3/8" Depth: 19" Specifics: Height to the top of the center surface: 25 1/4" Height to the top of the side surfaces: 26 1/16" Mirror: ... more40" tall by 38" wide Kneehole: 19 7/8" tall by 21 3/8" wide Center surface(where glass sits) 21" wide by 17" at the deepest point Drawers: All of the pedestal drawers are 9 7/8" wide by 15 3/4" deep. The height of each drawer. Starting with the top and moving down is: 5" 6" 7 1/4" This is in great condition overall with some general signs of age or use. The veneer surface has a slightly bumpy or crackled finish. We are not sure if this is an intentional or if it has become this way with age. There is a large chip on each of the top corners corners of the mirror. We also found paint down one side of the mirror where someone painted the wall without moving the vanity. There is also a drip of paint on the bottom/front of the left door frame. There are some red crayon marks on the interior of the center drawer. We found a few small chips on the veneered corners. These flaws are only noticeable upon close inspection. The vanity has a great overall appearance. Please see pictures for more details. And please ask questions if you have them. This is a HUGE mid century metal desk with multiple drawers and pull out writing surfaces above each side of drawers. It has a wood looking top(formica I'd say) From our research and comparing styles. Legs etc. we believe it is made by McDowell& Craig but as usual the name plate that would have been center drawer has run off some years ago. This piece measures 60 inches wide, 30 inches deep and 29 inches tall. Perfect size for any Madmen fans! Would be an amazing desk or workspace for anyone! The color is sort of taupe-gray(hubby says gray I say taupe) It has the usual scuffs, scratches and scrapes. It looks to be all original including the very awesome chrome legs. Original ModernMates birch wood desk by Conant Ball Furniture Makers. Circa 1950's. The clean lines are characteristic of Danish Modern designs. Conant Ball was a very progressive fine furniture maker that used designers such as Russel Wright. Leslie Diamond was the probable designer of this desk in the 1950's. The desk measures about 36" wide x 15 1/4" deep x 29" tall. The wood appears to be birch wood with a blonde/ honey color. The left side of the desk has a large single drawer with a divided drawer on the right side. Solid and high quality construction. The original finish has been cleaned and hand waxed. There may be light scratches and wear from normal use and age. The top may have had a blotter used on the surface at some point.
