I practically swooned when I saw this piece of furniture. This Queen Anne style is one of my favorites. With the cabriole legs in front and the straight legs in back. The hardware on this piece is simply gorgeous, but it is the patina on the old cherry that really knocked me out. Plus, it is solid as a rock, even after all this time. There had been a gallery around the top that broke in two places so I had to take it off-a loss but there is so much else dreamy about this piece that it is hardly missed. The case is walnut veneered, the legs walnut stained, the stretchers with walnut veneers. The interior has six walnut stained drawers with brass knobs. It measures 34" tall by 19" wide by 14" deep, the drop front 7" deep by 17" wide. Very good condition: original finish, case boards and legs without cracks. Missing the top skirt to two cubbyholes, some veneer chips here or there.

The top section is 8.5" deep with shelves that are 8" deep. The reticulated wood/ glass doors are 14" x 26" The serpentine drawers are 13" deep. It features four Eagles Talons or claws for feet. This is fully ready to go right into your home. Every part of this desk is functioning as it should; no sticky drawers. Squeaks, loose hinges, etc. It is made of brown walnut or mahogany and there are oak sides on the drawers. The old time quality that is rarely seen today. This desk has support arms for the drop front and comes with a high intensity halogen lamp for the work area and two extra bulbs. Antique Queen Anne Style Oak Desk - Unique Piece
Antique Oak Desk- Queen Anne's Leg. Finished all around A rare. Elegant, oak, Queen Anne style desk originally from Virginia. This lovely desk is finished on all sides making it perfectly suited for display in the center of a room. This piece features many attractive details such as brass hardware, carved rope detailed edges, and a claw foot. It has two drawers and two cabinet doors. There is evidence of repair on one of rear legs(see photo) as well as water stain on top surface. I am unsure of the age of this piece and have never found another like it. There isn't a polyurethane on the piece. I've always used a paste wax to protect the finish. I have'local pick-up' indicated on the shipping but I am willing to work with a buyer on shipping the desk. Thank you for looking.

Flat feet, and gently curved decorations. This antique Queen Anne desk follows the style perfectly. Made in England around the year 1900 of fine mahogany wood, this desk would be a wonderful addition to any home! Fine black leather adorns the top. This leather is new to the desk having recently been replaced. Gold tooling borders the edges of the leather providing ... morea nice contrast to the wood. All four Queen Anne style legs are the perfect proportion for the desk and connected with a decorative apron in the front. Beautiful brass handles were used on the two drawers. The drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetails giving a glimpse of the skill and quality of construction that went into this antique Queen Anne desk. Finally. A fully finished back allows you to place the desk anywhere in your room. Overall this desk is in very good and sturdy condition. The front right foot has a good bit of wear at the bottom as shown in the photos. There is an age separation on the back and two very small ones on the top. Minor wear in the form of tiny marks are present on the piece as well and help to give it character. The height from the floor to the bottom of the desk is 21.5″ except where the decorative apron comes down which is 19.75″ This front right leg has some wear by the foot. The finished back has one small age separation. The shaped apron extends around the sides as well. Both sides look great! The black leather makes a wonderful writing surface for this desk.
