For sale is a 1950s 2 arm industrial Jielde multi angle articulated machine ... morelamp. The aluminium elbows have been polished. The lamp is in working order and comes with 2.4 metres of new flex but not the plug as it is a French one. It is in very good used condition with some very minor signs of use to the reflector's surface. The reflector has its original high temperature painted surface and still has the bulb wattage/voltage sticker intact. The switch is in the base. I have included the lamp's weighted vehicle brake disc base in the sale. These lamps are very sort after and nice examples like this are becoming difficult to find. The photos don't do it justice! The lamp takes a Standard Bayonet cap bulb(B22) which are available at all DIY outlets. Bulb not included. The maximum wattage is 150w. Jielde lamps were designed by Jean-Louis Domecq for direct mounting on machine tools and for use in workshops. The lamps have now become particularly fashionable for use in loft style apartments and in homes generally as desk lamp/floor or wall lamps. So, hence I have fitted a trailing flexible lead to make the light more useable in the home. I have displayed this light using a vehicle brake disc which provides a solid base to show a typical method of mounting the light. Heavy sprockets. Hardwood- anything heavy will do the job. The light can also be fixed to a wall if required using its mounting base/bracket which has 3 holes in it. Although the light isn't heavy, it will require a solid wall and sturdy fixings to mount it as the movement required to adjust the lamp to the desired position will put stress on the mounting. They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. From the"How to care for SIMMONS FURNITURE guide" SIMMONS FURNITURE protected and enhanced with Du Pont satin-finished HI-BAKE DULUX. SIMMONS Steel furniture is specially finished with Hi-Bake DULUX for outstanding beauty and durability. DULUX is an exceptionally hard finish with excellent moisture resistance that protects against rust or corrosion. With proper care. SIMMONS furniture remains beautifully new for years. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Didnt even need but I gave it a light dusting. A little oil in the droor bearings, Lithium grease in the sliding top and it functions like it was new. No binding at all. Bottom has adjustable screw in/out feet for leveling. Top slides in both directions and can be pulled out and removed if desired. Not sure what exactly it was used for nor did the friend who I got it from! If anyone out there has any ideas let me know! Steel Tanker desks were originally manufactured in the 1940s and 1950s. These desks are exceptional sturdy(sometimes described as indestructible) and often used by the military. Police stations and manufacturing/industrial plants. This particular desk was used at Baker Canning Company in Theresa. WI and then by a small farm-equipment business after the canning operation closed in the 1970s. Tanker desks are typically a basic two-pedestal design. As is the case with this desk. This rare find is has the GF Mode-Maker imprint inside the top drawer and includes the key. This was an“executive desk” with an overhang to the side as well as the front and a bumper edge vs a standard straight metal edge. This auction is for an amazing desk. I have looked everywhere and cannot find another one like it. It is made of all metal except the bottom few inches of the legs. Even the lattice work on the sides is metal. There is also some brass or copper trim in some areas. Those areas are the handle. The feet on the legs, and on the front lip of the desk top. The desk measures 52 inches tall, 45 inches wide, and 30 inches deep. The desktop is 36.5 inches off the floor. I do not know what the original color was. It was painted at one point a brown color and then someone started to restore it and painted it red. I think if it was completed stripped it down to bare metal it would be unbelieveable, I just do not have the time or resources to have it restored. It is a really well made piece. It easily breaks down into small components to transport. As ... moreyou can see in the photos it shows some wear and needs a little tlc but really not that much. All the parts are there minus a few screws and a small spring. I have the lock to the top it just needs to be put back in. I do not have the key though. The top does open and close but I am sure some WD-40 will really make it smooth again. The spring is put in the drawer so when the rolltop is closed the drawer will lock. That is a sub dollar part and then you will have to get several screws to really secure the whole piece. It is solid and can be used as is, but there is a shelf inside the desk that needs screws and the trim on the front of the desk also needs screws. Really not that hard to do and I may even do it myself here in the next couple days and revise the listing. It is piece you really have to see to appreciate it and like I said I think it is great as is, but with some restoration it could be on the cover of a magazine. I was told this desk was used at a coal mine. It was the foreman's desk where he could keep important papers and money. Could easily lock it up and open it to pay employees. These student chairs came from closed school in Bloomingdale Ohio. Made by Envoy of Grand Rapids Michigan. These original pieces are from the school that opened in 1937. All show expected wear. But are very solid and useable. Student and adult size. I am not offering shipping due to the costs. I am located between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. THIS CHILD SCHOOL DESK IS VERY. VERY GORGEOUS. IT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN PRODUCED IN THE LATE 1930'S OR EARLY FORTIES. IT IS IN SUPERB CONDITION. THE METAL FRAME COULD USE SOME TOUCH UP PAINT, BUT ALL THE WOODEN PARTS SEEM TO BE JUST FINE. THE WRITING SURFACE IS JUST SUPERB. IT COMES WITH THE PENCIL HOLDER. THE DESK WRITING SURFACE IS 22-3/4" FROM TOP FRONT TO THE FLOOR. THE SEAT IS 13" HIGH FROM THE FLOOR AND THE BACK IS 25" HIGH FROM THE FLOOR. THE MIDDLE BACK SUPPRT PIECE ROTATES TO ACCOMMODATE THE CHILD'S BACK. THE WRITING SURFACE IS 12-1/2" WIDE AND 18" LONG. THE TOP IS TAPERED AS NOTED IN THE PHOTOS. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO PROVIDE VERY GOOD QUALITY OF PHOTOS AS I AM NOT VERY PROFICIENT IN THAT AREA. SUFFICE IT TO SAY, HOWEVER, IT IS FELT THAT THE PRICE IS RIGHT. MANY THANKS FOR LOOKING!

A teacher who saw these last week actually got a bit angry. these are desks children learn it.
