The lid and supports have all the hardware intact. The lid opens to reveal a multi-cubby hole interior. It has four modern solid wood shelves that I don’t believe are original. The molding on the double door top is unusual chain style going around both doors. It is a heavy duty solid wood desk. There is a crack in the lid as shown in the photos. The glass on the top on the left-hand door has a space in the top. It is very usable. It is in a dark oak stain finish.

It is vintage but I do now know exactly how old it is. It has an unusual wrought iron support on it that I have never seen before. It has matching brass knobs on all doors and drawers, with the exception of the far right drawer, which has a drawer pull on it. It features four drawers and one storage compartment behind it's one door. The desk has a truly unique shape and design. It has ornately carved panels on the front, sides, and even the back. The desk has a large amount of surface scratches on it, particularly ... moreon the top surface. I am unsure of its actual age. I would guess that it dates to the 1940’s or possibly a bit earlier. It has the original hardware on the drawers although some of the drawer pulls are missing parts of their swivel handles. The desk drawers pull in and out smoothly and have dovetail joints. There are some nice carved details to the front of the desk, but it will most certainly need to be refinished as there are a lot of scratches on it, and some stains inside the drawers as well. The desk is 30” tall, with the space for the chair being 21” high, and 17.5” wide. The desk is 48" long, and 18" wide front to back at most.

The desk comes with four raised panel dove tail drawers that retain all the original hardware. The center where the legs go have a reverse cove carving, which I have never seen in oak. It has a scallop bottom trim base, raised panels all the way around and a wide bevel edge on the solid tiger sawn oak top. The only negatives I see on the desk is that there is a little wear on the edge of the top from rubbing against something and there is a split going down the center of the top. We most likely could pull the top off and repair the top, which wouldn’t make a huge difference, but it is an expensive repair. The desk itself is high end quality.

Writing tools, and whatnots. The top lid has some cracking and veneer is missing on the side and it has damage where the hinges go(on top and bottom) See photos. Here is a unique warehouse find that our staff has spiffed up into a real centerpiece for your office or studio. The metal desk has been sand-blasted. Wire brushed, and finished with clear lacquer to obtain a clean, industrial look. Long ago, it looks like someone added a metal top and casters to this desk. This unique desk has been Outfitted With a Fostoria lamp and wired into the desk to use the On/Off switch built into the desk on the right hand side. The desk measures 45.5" L x 23.5" W x 29" T. Each of the drawers is 20.5" L x 4" W x 2.5" T and has a space for a tag. The casters are 2" in diameter and the chair space is 30" wide. This is a gorgeous vintage SOLID wood desk. Yes it is made of real wood. Not cheap pressed board. It was also, MADE IN THE USA. Super top quality by Taylor Made of Jamestown Ny Table Co. Dates from approximately the 1940's-50's. Nice large size. The top measures 48" wide x 24" deep. 29.5" high. Kneehole is 20.5" wide and 23.5" high. This has 8 drawers, four on one side, 3 on the other. One drawer is a double deep one. There is one center drawer, which has a lock, but alas, no key. All drawers are dovetailed. The drawers have vintage brass hardware, which has a nice patina. This appears to be original. There is a turned"rope" like decoration around the entire top of the desk. Finish is a brown/red color and is lovely. This is a fabulous piece of furniture, and a great decorative piece. A vintage Roll Top Desk made of Oak. Circa 1920. We are pleased to present this vintage Roll Top Desk for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood and dates to around the 1920's. The Desk has seven(7) drawers. The center one with individual lock, and the others locking when the roll top is down. A variety of nooks and compartments offer storage above the desk surface. The height of the upper section is low enough to allow this piece to be placed in the open, and still offer a view behind the Desk. The back is finished, further assisting an open placement. Keys are included for the two major locks, but missing for the small compartment near the right side(see last picture) The Desk measures 43 inches high. 54 inches wide, and 30-1/2 inches deep. We did not find any marks on it to identify the manufacturer. The Desk can be disassembled ... moreinto several pieces, to ease the task of moving it and particularly to simplify the job of getting it through doorways. Wear is consistent with the age of the piece. Exterior surfaces look quite good with only a few areas of worn finish. The working surfaces including the two pull-outs show considerably more wear as would be expected on a well used piece of furniture. There is no serious damage or issues. And we rate the overall condition as very good. This is a charming example of the classic Oak Roll Top Desk. With the added flexibility of a finished back allowing it to be placed in the open, as well as against a wall. Solid wood Roll Top desk has a distinguished raised panel exterior, wonderfully warm honey patina and is equipped 37 separate places in which to stash or display your work inside. The photos attached include much detail. Including signs of use(especially on the desk top and pull out shelves) minor scratching, etc. Please note we have not restored or treated the wood in anyway. All drawers. Locks and doors work smoothly. In our opinion the roll top escutcheon and the keys are reproduction and not original to the piece. It comes apart in two major pieces for transportation. There is a central back panel the same size as the chair opening which also detaches at the owners preference. Vintage Desk This antique desk is made of solid white oak and dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The desk has an older finish which has recently been waxed to bring back its finish. The drawers have solid brass lion head pulls. The raised back top section of desk has an opening that was originally used for files. Office clip boards etc. and has recently had the the inside corners notched to inset a piece of glass to turn the top section into an upper shelf. The top of desk angles down slightly like the old school desk from that era. The underside of desk has had some repairs and pieces replaced over the years to strengthen the legs and top. Vintage wood writing desk - exquisite design & quality - solid fine condition
This box has been in my possession for at lea st 35 years. I purchased it at a large antique convention in our city and I remember seeing it and my breath was taken away. The beautiful design on the outside gives it a rich ness that words can't describe. The wood is warm and th e construction is flawless. There are a few small scratches if you examine with a magni fying glass. The origin al brass hinges remain sturd y. The key has always been missing and I have not tried to find a replacement. This is 12" long. 8" across and 3½" deep. The felt on the inside has been replaced and was done by the previous owner. I have noticed that some wri ting desks have bottles for ink. This one does not have the bottles but there is plenty of space for writing instruments of all sorts. The solid construction speaks for itself. Check ... moreout all the pictures. Vintage Antique Solid Wood School Desk With Flip Top
Desk is solid wood with original hardware. A few scuff marks of white paint on the side from moving but is otherwise in really great shape. There are some pencil doodles on the bottom of it from some student. This came from Georgia and I believe it is much older than the 1950s but don't know. Top easily opens up from the hinges on the back. Pick up only from the Delray Beach Florida area. Legs are slim and do look pretty modern to me. Would make a great side table or small desk for a child.
