The desk is crafted of solid wood and has a gorgeous, faux marble laminate top. The desk was obtained from a local estate. The woman who owned the desk(since it was new) operated some exclusive womens clothing and accessories boutiques in the Springfield, MO area. Her personal furniture collection was exquisite and this is one of the pieces we acquired. The desk features 4 generous drawers. It is a one piece design and has an open leg, writing desk section with the side storage attached. The desk was made by Period Inc. in Henderson, KY. This is a company that made EXTREMELY NICE quality reproduction office furniture. The desk is in very good condition with some"chippy" ... morepaint from years of use. The writing drawer was used to house her personal banking stamp and the ink has left a perfect impression inside the drawer. This is a lovely desk with a graceful and feminine profile. It is 30" tall and 18.5" front to back. The knee space area on the writing side is 23.75" The writing desk drawer measures 26.75" wide. 15.25" front to back and 2.5" tall.
