The desk is not only a lovely Western theme piece of furniture, it is extremely well made and solid. It measures approx 48" long. 30" tall, 20" tall- weighs approx 120 lbs- its a sturdy piece. The wood has a white wash type finish. The desk is in Very Good Original Condition- it has some light normal use wear as one would expect. Overall its in great shape. Being fussy and more exact, the writing surface top is in very good shape- a few very minor light scratches- two small bruises on the edge as noticed in my last pic. It did not oil or clean the desk and this alone would improve the already nice finish. The only real blemish or what have you, is an age split to the wood on the side with the drawers- this is not damage but a natural split from age- shown up close in pic 7. This is a heavy very well constructed piece of furniture which will serve for many many more years. You will not find a piece of furniture made like this in todays world without paying an arm and a leg. The desk has normal expected wear. Beautiful Antique Golden Oak Desk with Carvings & One Center Drawer
This is a very versatile piece of furniture that is a desk but may have many other uses. The carvings(feet and sides at corners photo#4) appear hand carved and the piece could very well be prior to 1900. But I listed it 1900+ to be sure. It is a solid wood throughout and in fairly good condition-VG. It measures on top at 45.5" W and 28"D. It can add a classic look to any room with its' great style and golden oak grained color. The desk top is 29" above the floor and comfortable to sit at. The center drawer is 22"W. The"paws" are all similar and are 3"X 3.5" see photo#3) There is a small dark blemish on the wood top on the left(see photo#2) that I began to remove but it is incomplete. The bottom shelf is of a nice sweeping shape and adds to the versatility. The center drawer appears to be a replacement( ... moredrawer. It needs gluing in the front where there is a few inch separation. But it is not a difficult clamping job at all. There is a light small separation on top of the front lid that could use a little gluing to make this lovely piece in VG+++ condition. Please understand that I am not a dealer and cannot package the desk. You must pick it up in Massachusetts or have a moving company transport it. Student Desk - Golden Oak - in excellent condition
This student desk is a golden oak in excellent condition. The desk measures 44" wide x 19" deep x 30" high. It is very sturdy and solid. But still a nice size if you don't have a lot of space. It comes with a keyboard drawer and three storage drawers. The bottom drawer(picture 4) comes with metal bars for use with hanging folders. The metal bars are removable so items can be stacked in the drawer if wanted. It also comes with a shelf under the desk(picture 1) that can be used as a foot rest or a place for books, etc. This desk if bought new is about $250.00(I haven't checked lately) Please email with any questions. Beautifully refinished oak secretary. One of the nicest I've seen. Solid and complete, every detail was considered in the restoration of this piece. All original hardware, inside cubbies and drawer, drop front works well, includes the key! Who ever refinished this piece did an excellent job in removing old varnish, sanding smooth and applying a soft and satiny finish. Just Gorgeous! Plenty of room for everything, and this piece is quite a statement at 52" high, topped with a nice round bevel mirror. The outer most measurement is 37" wide, while the desk itself is 32" wide, 13" deep.When open, the desk sticks out 14" at a a height of 30.5" And, it includes the original porcelain castors!
