I inherited this Beautiful Antique Secretary Hutch made by Skandia Furniture Company Rockford.IL a while back I did not get a key. I know it is really old from the early 1900's and has not been refinished there is minor scratches due to age. But over all in wonderful condition. It has Beautiful Detail on the wood the inside has one shelf. The drop down has 3 small drawers the right side arm that comes out when you pull down the drop down is missing it is the arm that should be next to the top drawer on the right see picture. The Skandia Furniture Company Stamp is on the inside of the top drawer. On the backside of the Secretary Hutch is numbered 207 I do not know what this means? For auction. From a Tennessee estate, is a Very Nice Sheraton Style Desk Made by Imperial Furniture Co. Grand Rapids Michigan c1939. The desk appears to be mostly Mahogany. I am not sure about the carving. The desk has 3 leather panels on top. The desk is approximately 54" wide. 28" deep and 30" tall. It has 8 drawers. The bottom right drawer is a deep file drawer. The desk is in very good antique/used condition. At the front of the desk it may have been repaired at one time. There are two pieces of wood, one is 3" by 1" and the other one is 2" by 1" that appear to have been inlaid(not initially apparent or significant) The leather top has some stain which contributes to the authenticity,age and use of the desk. Antique American Standard Furniture Co Solid Red Oak Schoolmaster's Desk 59.5"W
This incredible desk by Standard Furniture Company of Herkimer. New York is in good condition and measures 59.5"W x 35.5"D x 30.25"H. This desk has went from schoolmaster's to a local steel mill's office to somebody's garage as a common work bench( Don't worry. Though, it has survived and fortunately it wasn't beaten up too bad. There are replace handles on the main drawer which locks each of the drawers when closed. These drawers must be in their specific cubby hole to work which are all signs of superior quality(you know the whole locking thing with specifically numbered drawers) I'm pretty sure I have the key for this desk somewhere. There are some scrapes to sides& gouges to the body but nothing too bad. I tried to give some detail in the pictures which I'm going to expand. This desk has ... morebeen tucked safely away in Handbanino's vaults for awhile and rather than waiting and prolonging its vacation I cleaned it off and gave as informative of a snapshot of where it's at right now. My deadline was 8 PM today and no matter what it was going on. No more scrubbing this a little more or evening out the finish out some more over there all though I will probably touch it up some more before it arrives in your home. It's not easy to get outdoor lighting. A good photogenic appearance, a decent natural backdrop to line up so I hope everything looks clear enough. The sun gave it a little bit of an alien glow but I tried to grab the most normal pictures, the top being detailed from left to right in the last three. As you can see there are some zones of"extra patina" over the wood grain but those have gone done from what it originally showed up with. 1913 GLOBE WERNICKE MAHOGANY DESK JUDGE'S? COMMERCIAL FURNITURE CO
Up for your consideration is this nice desk I purchased at an estate auction. It is around 66" X 38" X 30 1/2" and if very heavy. To the right inside the 2nd drawer on the left is the Commercial Furniture Company mark. The note that came with it states the desk is from 1913 and was a judge's desk but I cannot confirm that information. The top can be taken off and the last picture is of a tag that was exposed when the top was removed. Condition is good with some scratches and stains. There is tape residue on the left side toward the top. Please refer to pictures. I am not an expert but try to describe my items as completely and accurately as possible given the information I have before me. If you believe I misrepresented an item in any way. Vintage Spinet Desk - Walnut - Hekman Furniture Co. - 1930s? 1920s? (Boston)
Really nice vintage spinet desk- it would make a great computer desk! It is made of walnut. Although the top could be mahogany. The top folds up, as shown in the first photo, like a spinet piano. The tag inside the drawer appears to say Hekman. There is a pull-out shelf. And it has 3 drawers in the front, and 2 small drawers in the cubbyhole section. It is very sturdy and has been well cared for. There is some wear on the finish. Which appears to be all original, mostly on the pull-out shelf and around the handles. It is approx. 42 inches wide. 20 inches deep and just about 33 inches high. The 2 side drawers measure 6 inches wide by 17 inches deep by a little over 8 inches high. The middle drawer measures 24 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 2 1/2 inches high. Pick up in Boston(West Roxbury.

The Holland Furniture plate is missing from the left drawer. But the underside does have the paper label, Bay View Furniture Co. Holland Michigan" This is a great Spinet desk built in the early 1900's. Probably around 1910. It has a mahogany top and multiple drawers among other things.
