It is 29-1/4" to desk top when opened. H.E. Shaw Company was in operation in Grand Rapids from 1911 until 1933. Has 2 drawers and 10 cubby holes. Has lockable top. But I don't have a key for it. There was a repair made under one corner with metal braces, I guess it was wobbly. It is solid now, no problems. It has a satin finish on it now or you can recoat it if you want shiny. Hello. This is a beautiful set of antique cast iron school desk legs from Grand Rapids Furniture Co. out of Michigan. They have really nice ornate patterns and awesome embossment proudly displaying their origin. These come from a time when quality mattered and things lasted for more than a few months of use. They are commonly being used for tables, and various forms of stands. The bottom shelf(as seen in the pics) folds up. My wife loves them as plant stands, a great time to pull out those special pieces of board you have been saving. I have 5 sets of these, all exactly the same, but would prefer not to combine shipping for fear that they will get damaged, it's just too much weight and too many pieces in one box. You are bidding on a RARE Antique STICKLEY Style Arts& Crafts Oak Glass Display Desk made in Grand Rapids. Michigan by the Grand Rapids Manufacturing Association(GRM) probably between 1900 and 1910. One corner block broken and one desk slide is missing(see pictures) Both seem like easy repairs. Also, 2 drawers inside the desk are missing(see pictures) The entire piece breaks down in the parts for easy moving and storage. WOULD BE A GREAT PIECE AS A DISPLAY CABINET FOR A HOME OR BUSINESS.

Vintage Mahogany Secretary/Desk with 4 Drawers. This lovely piece measures 42" long x 20" deep x 33 1/2" high. It can be used as a desk. Or secretary. Great piece in good condition. Inside center draw is 7" x 7 1/2" x 2" deep. The drawers on either side are 6" wide x 17" front to back x 4 1/2" deep. The center drawer is 35 1/2" wide x 17" front to back x 2" deep. The work area when folded down measures 24" wide x 21" deep. Overall it weighs about 60+ pounds which allows it to be moved effortlessly from place to place.
