Has one pin to hold the white glass shade and is Im pretty sure for a three way bulb. In great shape for age. Very minimal wear of black basicaly in one part that I see. Whole thing measures about 28 inches tall at the loop x 18. On the bottom is a metal plate that does have some rust but it doesnt affect the lamp. The shade is meant to fit perfectly on the white glass shade so it doesnt move. I dont know if it would hold a glass chimney or not but it doesnt look like it was intended for that. I think the hole at the top is to let out the heat. You will love it. It will need to go parcel post due to being oversize and to cut down on shipping cost. Grab it before someone else does. Antique Vtg Heywood Wakefield Wicker Desk Vtg Green
Up for auction is an antique Heywood Wakefield wicker desk. It has been painted green. As you can see in the pictures the paint is quite distressed on the wood writing surface. There are a couple of places where there are breaks in the wicker and some missing wrap on the legs. Working front drawer. This is a very cool piece. rare antique metal rolltop desk vintage industrial coal mine steampunk brass vtg
This auction is for an amazing desk. I have looked everywhere and cannot find another one like it. It is made of all metal except the bottom few inches of the legs. Even the lattice work on the sides is metal. There is also some brass or copper trim in some areas. Those areas are the handle. The feet on the legs, and on the front lip of the desk top. The desk measures 52 inches tall, 45 inches wide, and 30 inches deep. The desktop is 36.5 inches off the floor. I do not know what the original color was. It was painted at one point a brown color and then someone started to restore it and painted it red. I think if it was completed stripped it down to bare metal it would be unbelieveable, I just do not have the time or resources to have it restored. It is a really well made piece. It easily breaks down into small components to transport. As ... moreyou can see in the photos it shows some wear and needs a little tlc but really not that much. All the parts are there minus a few screws and a small spring. I have the lock to the top it just needs to be put back in. I do not have the key though. The top does open and close but I am sure some WD-40 will really make it smooth again. The spring is put in the drawer so when the rolltop is closed the drawer will lock. That is a sub dollar part and then you will have to get several screws to really secure the whole piece. It is solid and can be used as is, but there is a shelf inside the desk that needs screws and the trim on the front of the desk also needs screws. Really not that hard to do and I may even do it myself here in the next couple days and revise the listing. It is piece you really have to see to appreciate it and like I said I think it is great as is, but with some restoration it could be on the cover of a magazine. I was told this desk was used at a coal mine. It was the foreman's desk where he could keep important papers and money. Could easily lock it up and open it to pay employees. ANTIQUE WICKER AND WOOD DESK OR VANITY Wonderful vintage piece in the craftsman or arts& craft style. Original patina ~ never been painted. I have seen an exact desk that was made by Heywood Wakefield that had a metal tag on the back. This one no longer has the tag. Measures 38" Wide ~ 22" Deep Height of desk top is 30" Height of desk including wicker desktop holder is about 38" Has a working wood drawer on front. As you can see in the photos it does have some damage on the front left leg near the bottom. There is broken wrap and some is missing. The back two legs are in good condition. The front right leg has minimal wear. I found only one other obvious place where there is a single strand of wrap missing. The wood desk top shows some normal age related wear. While this table/desk is probably from the midcentury. Based on papers we found in the desk. It is at least that old. It might actually be older. The tabletop measures 19 inches deep and about 34 1/2 inches across. Total height is about 32 inches. Total clearance under the desk about 24 inches. The entire desk unit is about 7 1/2 inches thick. The legs remove easily and this entire desk combined with a folding chair like the one we have on sale will fit easily into a small vehicle- perfect for a college student or writer or reporter or a business person on the go who likes to have a nice writing/computer desk. Antique leather & wood travel countertop cubbyhole secretary desk vtg
This interesting old countertop travel desk or secretary is in fine shape. It measures closed approximately 15 x 10 x 9 inches. When opened it is 16" tall. I don't think it was ever used. The wonderful leather is a deep reddish mahogany color with brass handles on the sides and hinges. The bottom drawer and 2 other drawers easily pull out. Drawers are lined with a beige material as is the bottom. Leather straps snap onto 2 upper pieces and there is a buckle with snap on top. There is a small 1/4" mar on top and a bit of leather weakness where prong goes into hole on leather strip. Otherwise very minor wear to leather. Weighs about 7 pounds. Out of USA buyers.
