This is a well made. Sturdy piece with dovetail joints in all three drawers. Graceful cabriole legs. A paper maker's tag inside the top drawer dates this piece c. 1938. Antique Secretary Drop Front Desk 1930s-40s Queen Anne Style
Priced to sell! For Pick up only or YOU arrange for shipment from zip 60516 Chicago area western suburb Downers Grove. Professionally refinished and in excellent lightly used condition. This is fully ready to go right into your home. Every part of this desk is functioning as it should; no sticky drawers. Squeaks, loose hinges, etc. It is made of brown walnut or mahogany and there are oak sides on the drawers. The old time quality that is rarely seen today. This desk has support arms for the drop front and comes with a high intensity halogen lamp for the work area and two extra bulbs. This could be easily removed and the little storage door reinstalled(see photo) Measurements: 80" tall to the tip of the finial. 33 1/2" wide at the widest point of base, 18 1/2" deep from the back to the outward curve of base.

Antique Queen Anne Style Oak Desk - Unique Piece
Antique Oak Desk- Queen Anne's Leg. Finished all around A rare. Elegant, oak, Queen Anne style desk originally from Virginia. This lovely desk is finished on all sides making it perfectly suited for display in the center of a room. This piece features many attractive details such as brass hardware, carved rope detailed edges, and a claw foot. It has two drawers and two cabinet doors. There is evidence of repair on one of rear legs(see photo) as well as water stain on top surface. I am unsure of the age of this piece and have never found another like it. There isn't a polyurethane on the piece. I've always used a paste wax to protect the finish. I have'local pick-up' indicated on the shipping but I am willing to work with a buyer on shipping the desk. Thank you for looking.
