Glass lighting rod weathervane teardrop pendant
For your consideration is this glass lightning rod or weathervane teardrop pendant ornament. Not real knowledgeable on this item but I have seen them before. It's deep red with a metal top that is corroded and probably never coming off. But it still hangs like it's supposed and the color is great. I'm not finding any damage other to the metal top which shows in the pics. It's about 5.5 long including the top hanger and 3 wide.

This is a Remarkable Hard to Find PAIR of MATCHING Architectural Vintage Barn Roof Metal Cupolas with Running Horse Weather Vanes. Cupolas are comprised of a metal material which appears to be galvanized tin and are vented with sloping roofs. The horse weather vanes and shafts appear to be made of a cast aluminum material. These cupolas originated from a barn from a local Fairbanks Ranch Estate. This pair of Weather Vane Cupolas would be perfect for a barn or house roof top. However they would also work as interior Large Scale Architectural/Decorative Elements Each cupola measures approximately 57 1/2" tall to the top of each horse. The bottom base measures about 28" by 28 1/2" and each base of the cupola, the vented section measures about 32 to 33" tall. Lightning ROD Glass GLOBE Ball INSULATOR Weathervane Antique Purple Magnesium
I have for auction a beautiful magnesium purple glass lightning rod ball/ globe. It measures approx 5.5" the openings are approx. 1 1/4" on the outside and 1" on the inside of the hole. I see the bubbles in the glass as well as the dimples too that just shows how old this is. It could use a cleaning but will leave that up to the winning bidder. I do not see any cracks or chips except around the openings(see pics) nothing to bad. If you have the caps they will cover the chips on the ends. Has a"K" mark. We have here a Vintage Aluminum Loose Top Roof Top Irish Setter Dog Weather Vane. It stands 23" tall and is 17 1/2" at its widest point. It is painted black aluminum. Which is nice as its light. The irish setter top easily slips off. The N, S, E(bottom break in the E can be seen in photo's) W is attached by a screw, as are the bottom feet. It all has a hand hammered look. There is one spot of aluminum loss. Right below where the top slides on. None the less this is still a great weather vane! Weathervane from Farm Antique Lamb Iron Mounted on Wood Base

This very nice antique weathervane comes from a farm(I don't know where! and is mounted ready to display on a custom wood base with cantilevered sides and a barn-red wood support. This is rusted iron and painted and is topped with lamb. The top part slips out of the stem(it is greased for easy spinning) Please see the picture showing the end of this stem and the two parts that can be removed(one of them is a nut) This stands 31.5" tall to top of lamb's head. 2 Old Blue Glass Lightning Rod Balls With Patina
Two beautiful shades of blue glass lightning rod balls with patina- They've not been washed or handled in any way since the rods were installed until yesterday when the copper rods were removed from the roof- How long they graced the ridge of the roof I couldn't tell you but the structure itself is over 100 years old- I did remove the wasps nests that had been built in one of them but aside from that didn't even wipe away dirt for the photos- If they appear clean in any way it may be due to the heavy rainfall we recently experienced here in the Midwest- Funny how you can become attached to a useful object of beauty. Propeller measures 16&3/4's inches in across. The entire whirligig measures 12 inches tall by 17 inches long and the fuselage measures about 1&1/2 inches wide. It weighs 1&1/2 lbs without packing material. I figure it's at least 20 years old- maybe late 70's or early 80's and didn't see a lot of outdoor use. Probably hauled it out every Christmas as an indoor decoration. Nothing loose. Broken or repaired. Took good pictures. This will come with the propeller disassembled. Antique Weathervane Rooster Old Paint Vintage Country Primitive Original Paint?
Found at a rural Nebraska estate sale is this great old metal rooster from a weathervane. Still standing on a 15" section of the weathervane. The rooster is about 9" tall and a bit over 7" wide. He still retains remnants of old paint which may quite possibly be original. There is some rust but no holes eaten through. Visible from the bottom is some separation indicating the rooster was formed from two separate sides and joined together. He is very sturdy and has a wonderful country primitive look. Vintage Dog Cast Iron Weather Vane PARTS LOT
Up for auction is this vintage cast iron dog weather vane. It is being sold as a PARTS LOT only because it has several broken pieces that will need mending and the tip of the dog's tail is missing. It looks like the original paint. Though it does have surface corrosion and will need to be refurbished. It appears to be all there(Except the tip of the dog's tail) and should stand approx. 30" tall when assembled. The"W" and the tail of the arrow are broken off. It is heavy cast iron so shipping is based on the weight of the item.

Vintage Very nice American Folk Art Copper running Horse weathervane with two copper balls. The north. East, south, west parts looks to be brass that is 18 in. long with 3 1/4 letters on them along with the brass bar stand. looks too be in great shape with no dents or cracks. Feel free to ask any Questions I will do my best to answers them. Measurements, The horse is 3/4 to 11/4 in thick. From the front foot to the tail is 25in. long. From the nose too the tail is 221/2 in. long. From the copper mounting tube to the top of the ear is12 in. tall. The copper tube the horse mounted too is 27 1/4 in long. Rare Antique Zinc Over Wood Running Horse Weathervane With Original Paint. C1900
NOTE: THE WEATHERVANE POLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE. IT IS USED ONLY TO DISPLAY THIS ITEM. For sale is a great and hard to find American original galloping horse weathervane in painted zinc over wood construction. We believe this weathervane to date circa 1900. It could be older could be a little later. It came from an upstate New York home wear it hung inside from the weather for the last 30 years or so. The family that formerly owned this piece resided in Vermont and we believe that is where this weathervane was originally used outdoors before being taken down and hung in a barn. It was eventually wired to hang inside the home as part of their interior artwork and collection of horse related collectibles. That is all we know on the origin of this beautiful weather vain. This piece is pure Americana. We believe the metal to be zinc or ... moresome type of sheet metal. It has a beautiful smooth rust age patina to the metal and a gorgeous layer of original white paint all over the horse which as not all been weathered away. It retains a lot if the paint. As you can see one side retains more original paint then the other side. The underlying wood structure seems to be a cut out tongue and groove pattern horse which is then hand hammered and tacked over in the zinc skeletal structure. Over all it is in excellent condition with only age-appropriate wear in areas. There is some wood splitting(near leg.see picture) but structurally every area of this weathervane is in good condition due to the metal zinc exo-skeletal structure. It measures: 31 1/2" long x 21 1/4" high x 1 1/4" thick. It still retains its original support hole on the base. Remember. The pole seen in the photos is not included in the sale. Posted with

Antique VTG Copper Running Horse Weathervane 19th Century For sale is an antique copper horse weathervane. I have been told that it is an Ethan Allen running horse made by either L.W. Cushing or J.W. Fiske. But I did not see any marks so I cannot confirm this. The horse has a hollow body(two copper sides) with a solid cast iron head. The weathervane measurements are as follows: Horse Width(from bar to bar) 33” Horse Height(Ear to front leg) 16” Top of horse to the base- 4ft/ 48” The weathervane is all original. I dont see any replaced parts. Besides for the bracket on the bottom. The vane had been maintained(greased) so the horse will spin in the wind. The pole(stand) is pretty rusty. Antique Vintage Copper Flying Goose Duck Weathervane Great Patina 55" Tall
Here is an old vintage goose/ duck weathervane with a wonderful look to it. This definitely appears to be copper. With the exception of the main pole which I believe is iron as it is the only magnetic part on the weathervane. The body of the goose appears hollow and has some areas of copper color, some areas that are a dark reddish color and others areas showing green tarnish- a very nice combination of colors giving it a great patina. The full weathervane stands about 55" tall, the bird's wingspan is about 26 1/2" wide, and the length of the goose is about 24 1/2" There are areas of solder on the goose, but I see it in most seamed areas, so believe it is how the bird was put together, you can see this in the pictures I have shown. Vintage Folk Art Weathervane Whirligig Airplane with Bird Pilots Nice Paint: Up for auction is a vintage weathervane whirligig with bird pilots. Please use the photos provided to help judge the condition of the weathervane. This is a great piece to put indoors or outside in the garden. The weathervane is made of metal and has wonderful rustic paint. I believe the 5 birds perched on the plane are made of ceramic. The"S" for South on the directionals is missing. The wings and the tail piece swivel so they sway with the wind. Th whole piece stands about 32 inches tall and is 20 inches at the widest point. Please feel free to send a message with any questions. Antique Rooster Weathervane. Rooster Weathervane w/Directionals marked SHIN.
Antique"ROOSTER" Weathervane. Complete with Directionals and Stand! It has the smaller size hollow body Tin Rooster with first coat of old Silver Barn Roof Paint. The Directionals are probably original and marked SHIN as shown. I disassembled it for shipping and shouldn't be a problem putting it back together. Some minor surface rust on the Rooster with no damage or repairs. The Rooster measures 7 1/2" long and 8 3/4" tall. The Arrow it is mounted to is 23 1/4" long. The Directionals are each 17 3/4" long. Vintage Metal Farm Horse Weathervane 12" X 14 1/2"
This came straight off the farm in front of the barn. The owner put a piece of tubing on the bottom and stuck it in the ground for decoration. The Horse and directional arrow are made of a stronger metal and measure 14 1/2" X 11" The directional N.S,E,W were made of a softer metal and the only one left is the S The piece shows it's age but thats what separates it from the cheap new items. Would be a good piece of the garden or flowerbed. I will take off the tubing but add it to the shipment. It's about a foot long. The*Sports*Den. FOR SALE IS A VERY RARE PIECE OF FOLK ART. THIS WEATHERVANE IS MADE OF CAST ALUMINUM/BRASS. DEPICTS A BOY CARRYING A FISHING POLE IN ONE HAND AND A BUNDLE OF FISH IN THE OTHER, WITH HIS DOG WALKING AHEAD OF HIM. THE ARROW IS 22 INCHES FROM TIP TO FEATHER, AND 25 INCHES FROM TOP OF HIS HEAD TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POST. THERE IS A SMALL HOLE IN THE LOWER POST CLOSE TO WHERE THE WEATHER DIRECTION CONNECTS.
