I picked this up at a estate sale and it was disassembled. I provided the copper tubing which fit all the pieces perfectly and without modification. Everything is original patina and has no corrosion or pitting. Arrow measures 26" long. 22" tall from bottom of arrow to roosters comb. Small ball is 2-1/4" Large ball is 4-1/4" Directional is 22" x 18" and letters are 3-3/4" tall. Overall height is approx 48" but is adjustable depending on copper tube length. I think the proportions look great as is. Great, rare antique weathervane in great condition. PS. IT works because as I was listing this thing the wind was blowing and it spun around and hit me up side the head! Haha. PS2-After i listed this i realized that i assembled it incorrectly. Location: Homer, United States Up for bid. Is as the title states, one of three absolutely stunning antique architectural barn roof tin and wrought iron cupolas. Recently found in Western ... moreMD. but originally came from a Mennonite barn built in Waynesboro, PA. around the early to mid 1800's. The largest cupola, seen in the center is the first one we will sell, however, the winning bidder will have to option of purchasing the other two at the end of this auction. This cupola, unlike the other two, stands close to 10' high x around 3-1/2 to 4' in diameter. You'll notice there are a few holes in the tin, but structurally it all appears to be at a place where it could easily be restored. Being skilled in the restoration of these pieces, I would do it myself, if I only had the time, and would be happy to do the restoration for the winning bidder upon a successful sale, if they are interested. The base of this piece looks to be about 30" square and although we don't have the vent houses that these cupolas originally sat on, a base could still be built for each one. The third picture shows how high this one stands, and if you look closely, you'll notice that guy standing there next to the cupola is holding the weathervane that came off of the top of it, which we will include with this cupola only. We don't have the copper ligh tening rod cable. The finial and inverted cone portions of the cupolas do have some white glass insulators still wired on. The weathervane as seen. Has a rear area made up of rusty tin and not what was once probably a piece of stained glass. All 3 of the cupolas are easy to handle and were transported to my farm by me and the guy in the picture on my pickup truck. Due to size, we would appreciate the winning bidder picking these up here in Fawn Grove. PA. 17321, however we do have a couple delivery guys who can take them for you, across the country just in case you don't live down the street or arou nd the block. Vintage Antique COPPER HORSE & SULKY w/RIDER WEATHER VANE Weathervane
Antique or vintage weathervane that I believe is an earlier version of this type. The soldered seams are on the crude side with lots of tarnish and patina. I'll keep my age estimate pretty wide to be safe and say early 20th century to the depression. There is some oxidation also. The driver seams to have the most. From the front pipe to the back of the wheel is about 32" Several non distracting type dents that are normal for this age but the wheels are pretty bent. They do bend easy to fix. Off hand I see 4 spots where this piece needs to be spot soldered, it's only attached at the vertical bar. The bottom of one wheel to the pipe, the end of one spoke(I did that bending the wheels) and the 2 rear feet get soldered to the pipe. You can see where both feet where attached. Here we have a RARE find and that would bean Authentic ANTIQUE Horse weather vane with a Large Iron arrow pointer. I took this from a fallen down barn years ago up in Pennsyvania and I gurantee it to be OLD and as described. Base measures about 23 inch from end to end. The Horse is about 9 inch from end of the tail to the end of the nose.This was how it was when i found it, not sure if it had fletching on the Arrow shaft at one time, if so no signs of it. You can see that the horse has been reattached to the arrow and maybe has some other old repairs but obviosly done a Long time ago. Was done in a primitive manner but still seems solid. Horse has several spots where it looks like it was shot with a small caliber gun, None of this detracts I don't think but please see my photos which shows all this well. Iron arrow is well rusted from ... morebeing out in the elements for probably over 100 years, still solid though. Horse looks to be made out of Zink and has some good detail to it like these older ones often did. Body was made in two sectionas and then joined together.Again this is an authentic Antique Horse weather vane that was used for probably over 100 years and repaired when it needed it so please do not expect one that looks new OK? Vintage cast iron snow birds eagle with open mouth used on slate roofs
These are cast iron snow birds used in the late 1800's and early 1900's on slate roofs as snow and ice guards. It is my understanding from research that the eagles found with the partially opened mouths are the older snow birds. Each bird weights approximately 1 1/4 pound. The eagle is from wing to wing approximately 5 7/8" From the bottom of the cast iron to the top of the eagles head is approximately 5" From end to end. With the attached slider, each is approximately 8" long. Can think of many uses for these snow birds as I am sure you can. Very neat item. Postage listed is for 1 snowbird. Postage for 2 to 4 snowbirds may need to be adjusted.

You are bidding on ACME Lightning Rod Co. Terminal production#010. This is about 10" long. 6" wide at the arms and ranges from 3/8" thick at the tip to about 5/8" at the base. It is drilled and tapped 3/8NC for attachment to solid copper conductor. This lightning rod is featured in new single terminal, single conductor, single electrode lightning protection that is reminiscent of the 1860 era systems utilizing the bayonet type terminals. This terminal is cast in Oshaloy. A lead free silicon Bronze metal. It is much thicker than the pressed original tips as it must be able to be struck by lightning without being compromised. These are very expensive to produce in this low quantity as only 3 prototypes and 10 production terminals exist at this time. Antique Smuggler Running Horse Weathervane
Selling a 33" long x 17 3/4" tall running horse weathervane from the the late 19th or very early 20th century. I believe this is a horse called Smuggler. The head isn't cast. It has some bullet dings and a few actual holes. There are also some minor dents. Largest is on one side if it's face. If you had the right tool I think it could be popped back out. I am not messing with it. It doesn't take away much from the horse. It has an older slightly worn gold leafed surface. The support bar is painted black with verdigris showing through. Comes with 1 small gold copper ball. No mount, post or directionals. Very minor seam separation in a spot or two. This is a large and very pretty detailed horse! Antique Folk Art Sheet Metal Weathervane Primitive Articulated DONKEY
This charming antique was found at an estate sale.of unknown age and origin. After some research this appears to be part of an old WEATHERVANE or perhaps possibly part of on old sign that hung in front of a shop. This is a wonderfully primitive DONKEY. His head and neck are fashioned separately and loosely bolted to the body- the holes at the base of the neck and at the mouth seem to indicate that once there were wires or string attached so that the head could be manipulated up and down- the head can still be manipulated with no trouble, and I suspect this could be re-wired. The donkey's body is made from two sheets of some sort of metal and then fixed together. See all photos to understand construction. Patina showing age and weathering. About 8" long. 7" tall.

Very nice and super rare Electra"E" brass lightning rod topper/finial. In the eleven point starburst. Crown point pattern. Measures 7 inches tall and 4 inches wide. With the original attached copper shaft it measures a total length of 10.5 inches. Condition: original aged green tint patina. also has what looks to be some of the original shiny silver nickel plating on the star. Could probably be polished nicely. Several of the tips have slight bends that are easily straightened. Otherwise no bends as seen in the pictures. Does have some pitting along"spear" part below starburst. Copper pipe does have small split where it connects to finial(note these are two pieces. Most do not have original crimped shaft) End of copper shaft is uneven. Hawkeye Antique Lightning Rods
Hi. Up for bid is a set of Hawkeye lightning rods that I removed from a garage we tore down on one of our properties. The garage was built in 1920 and the lightning rods were installed upon completion. They are 63"tall and come with about 48' of copper cable. Two of the balls are white and one is blue. They have small chips on one end or the other, but are in very nice shape. The stands are made of steel, the rods are made of copper, the bayonet tips are made of brass and have very nice patina. I have also thrown in some square headed nails that were removed when we took rods down. They will fit a building 24' to 28' long or just make a very good decorator piece! This listing is for an amber glass. Clear lightning rod ornament/ball. The ornamant has copper rings on both ends but has no maker or other identifying marks or embossings. There are smooth, but visible, mold seams running down each side of the ball. The amber rings are replacements and were added to the ball, using plaster as a bonding agent, in the early 1980's. The amber glass is clear and free from any stains, cracks or chips. Please see pictures for further details. This listing is for a gold. Glass lightning rod ornamant/ball. The gold coloring, or coating is under the glass, or inside the ornament. The ornament is multi-faceted with copper rings on both ends. It has"Patent Pending" embossed in the glass, vertically on two of the facets on one end and a diamond-shaped design with three dots inside the diamond, embossed in the glass, on the opposite end. While the embossings do not photograph well, please see pictures for further details. The copper rings are new replacements and were applied with plaster, as a bonding agent, to the ornament in the early 1980's. The ornament is in great condition with no chips or cracks and would make a welcome and valued addition to your collection.

For sale is this purple glass lightning rod insulator in good original condition. This was a back yard find by my son& I am selling for him. This is not a perfect one. As you will see in the pictures it has a slant and a chip or rub to glass on top edge. We do have this rusty metal holder that comes with. WEATHER VANE: Antique "LG ARMADILLO" & ARROW, BOTH COPPER, LIGHTNING ROD
Rare and interesting Armadillo and Arrow copper Weathervane top or could be added to a Lightning rod. The pieces are all non metallic and have a green patina at varying places. Both are old. But exact age is unknown. The arrow has a real folk art look to it. I have never seen an Armadillo weathervane. Even in Texas the metal one's are rare. The diller is nose to tail 29 1/2" long, the mounting bar he is on is 30 3/4" long. He is 11 inch wide at the widest area and add 1/2" where the down bracket is.
