The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. One for each pad, offer Low, Med and High setting. I get heat from high and med, but none from low. Possibly thats something you can adjust. I am stupid and scared with electronics. Westinghouse logo on the front screams 1954! But I am not certain of the age. The bottom has engraved: Westinghouse. Mansfield, OHIO. Cat. The stove features an oven timer, roastmeter, a griddle top, four burners, two ovens, broiler, roaster, three grease traps, and a roasting/broiling pan. I am not sure of the model number of the stove, but it is either a 9520 or a 9322. It has a partial diagram on the back. It is 49" tall, 40.5" wide, 36" tall at the burner surface, and 28.75" deep.

1953 Vintage antique HOME COMFORT E-1 electric cooking stove range oven IT WORKS
Vintage Home Comfort E-1 electric cooking stove. This stove worked when my step-grandpa last used it. After testing it recently. I found that both the upper and lower coils in the oven heat up, as can be seen in the photo, so the oven works. All four burners also heat as they should. I cannot get the dial to turn to test the middle"deep well. However, I may have been doing something wrong as I initially thought the oven was not working until I found the manual, which also goes along with the auction, and realized I just had it in the wrong mode. I should have re-tested the deep well dial after finding the manual, but I forgot to, and the stove is almost 2 hours from us. The plastic/glass cover is missing off the timer, and I did not test the timer. It has been kept in his kitchen in his heated home for the last ten years. It is as is ... morebut most everything appears to be working. The burners and oven definitely work. It is about 40 inches wide by about 27 inches deep(including the handles out front) and the height from the floor to the top is about 37 inches plus about another 9 inches for the area where the dials are located. The manual along with various other documents, like a bill of sale and original purchase letter from the company are also included. This was bought in 1953 brand new and my step-grandpa's family was the original and only owner. This item ships from a smoke-free building. This makes you realize how much nicer life is now than it was then! This is a stove that was for your sad iron or to put one pot on to cook with. It is in pretty good condition. Though not the best. It is missing the plug where the oil goes in. The paint is chipped some and definitely shows wear. The last patent date on the back is June 8,1886. The piece is a wonderful bit of history and would display beautifully. There is still a wick in it, so I am sure that you could use a cork in place of the stopper and still use the stove. Antique / Vintage One Burner Cooking Stove with PERFECTION Glass Kerosene Bottle
This listing is for an antique. One burner cooking stove and a Perfection Stove Co. glass kerosene bottle. The stove does not have any maker's marks. I think that these items date to around the 1920s. Selling for restoration or for a collector. Untested. Incomplete. The stove is missing the burner grate. It is missing all but three of the screws and nuts. It may be missing other parts as well. The kerosene bottle does not have a metal ring or handle. The paint is flaking off of the stove. It has rust. Scratches, dents and bent places. One mounting bracket for the gas line is bent(pictured) I'm not sure if the paint is original or not. The"bowl" that serves as a gas intake has a cut-in, rectangular shaped hole through the side. It looks original. The glass bottle has a rusty lid and is dirty inside. I did not open the lid ... moreto clean the inside for fear of breaking it. The outside has scratches and some rust stains. There is a large"L" shaped area on the bottom that looks kind of like a crack. But I think its a crease from the manufacturing process. Will ship disassembled. Sells as is. A very nice old porcelain enamel porcelain tray with a white body and a dark blue trim. This tray came from a 1940s Barn and is in good condition. It would look wonderful in a vintage kitchen. Or in a sitting area with plants on it. It is used and does have scratching, enamel loss to the surface and several rust spots as shown in the photos. There is rust on the rim as well. The tray needs a good cleaning. The tray measures approximately 25" by 19" and has a lip that is 2" tall.
