We have an identical stove in our kitchen that we use on cold winter days. We bought this second stove two years ago, intending to install it in our basement. But we changed our mind and have never used it, so we're selling it as is. The man who sold it to us had bought it at an auction in the 1970s and used it in his den as a TV stand. Never hooking it up to a chimney. It appears that the owner before him had burned coal in the stove, as the grates are pretty rough. However, the grate mechanism works smoothly, and all the pieces are there. The stove is 63 1/2 inches tall. 51 inches wide and 35 inches deep. A removable ash box is included. I consider this stove to be in quite good condition considering its age& I will cry when it leaves. T he Quick Meal Stove Co. began in1850& ended in 1901 when it merged with six other companies to become American Stove Co. I would safely call it"used" as it still has some ash in it that I didn't mind living with. Thatstove part on the righ t held hot water. I was told. Technically it has the wrong base, but still looks very nice. I believe all its parts are there, including a burner-lifter.

Rare and very collectible Antique Cast Iron"QUICK MEAL" Salesman Sample Cook Stove! These larger size Stoves are considered by most to be Salesman Samples! I can not disagree as it is an exact scale model of an Original. All working parts as shown. You can actually burn a fire in this Stove. Although not recommended. It appears complete including interior grates etc. as you can see. No cracks or breaks other then one tiny break at the screw hole to the back splash, see last photo. No other damage or repairs, straight from an Attic. Nothing recent but sometime during the last 100 years it has been painted on the exterior. Normally the Doors and attachments were painted a Silver color. It can easily be removed and repainted by someone with the know-how to look original again. These Stoves command a good chunk of change when restored ... moreand offered for sale, usually in the $4000 to $4500 range. This example needs little work and it is complete! Antique Stove QUICK MEAL WHITE
This is a great stove. I think 1932 it is gas with 5 burnes. 3 ovens and a bread drawer. it has been in dry storage for the last 50 years. It is a commercial stove used in a hotel restaurant in the 30s 40s and 50s. It was cleaned and stored in the late 50s and boarded up on a second floor and stairs removed. untouched for over 50 years. we opened hole in ceiling and used ropes and pulleys to lower out of 2nd floor. porcelain and chrome. currently use as display in restaurant window. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. PEOPLE GET THEIR PICTURE BY IT ALL DAY. FIRST PICTURE IS FROM A REFURBISHED ONE. THE ONE I AM SELLING IS SECOND ONE AND IS IN TOO CLOSE OF AREA TO GET FULL THING IN PICTURE.
