Early 1930s Antique (Home Comfort) wood cook stove in good usable condition.
I have here a(Home Comfort) grey granite wood cook stove. This antique cook stove was constructed in early 1930s and is still in very good usable condition. The stovepipe is in great working order with a 6-inch opening on top. Wrought-iron Range Company. Number C A. St. Louis. Missouri. All doors and drawer work great including the cast-iron cook surface openings. Handle included. The fire box itself is in great condition and won't need to be repaired anytime soon. Walls and grate are still thick. The measurements are: S tove top cooking surface height 33 inches. Stove top surface 33 inch by 28 inch. Overall height 62 inches. Overall wi dth 55 inches. This stove comes with a removable towel/apron rod in the front and also has a removable side addition with a towel/apron rod. Very nice features. There are. antique vintage cast iron cook stove eyes and other parts lot . Home Comfort?
Great lot here. I have no idea how old they are or what they fit. Maybe a how comfort but in no way do I guarantee that.SOme of them have several chips around the rim. They have a lot of tarnishing surface rust and some pitting. the spacer that goes in between two eyes is a little bowed and has a crack. They need a good cleaning. The larger eyes measure approx 7 15/16 and the one with holes and writing measures 6 3/4. Even with the condition these are hard to find and im starting them at a very reasonable price. Item up for auction is a Home Comfort enamel coated wood cookstove that was purchased new by my grandparents some time in the 1930's and was used daily until the house was redone with electric appliances sometime in the late forties or fifties. At which time it was placed in dry storage with the metal surfaces coated in paraffin wax to preserve the finish and protect from corrosion. Everything is in place with the stove and works as it should. The pictures speak for themselves! You will be hard pressed to find a better. Offered is a turn-o f-the-century Home Comfort cooking stove. All original p ieces are in nice shape! The stove in pretty much complete and ready for restoration. It originally came out of a homeste aded shack/house up in the High Sierra area in Northern California. Where it was in use until we got it. We just have too many projects and not enough time. Up For Auction is this: 1890's Home Comfort Wood Stove made by WROUGHT IRON RANGE CO. The wing to right removes if desired. Overhead bread warmer. All doors work and latch. At first I thought this had been converted to gas. I realize now it has a hot water heater in place. The back view is of the 3/4" line coming in and if you look to the left you will see a hole in stove body. This line serpintines back and forth over the burner box and ends with a 90 elbow facing this hole. It needs a 10" straight shot of pipe to bring out of the hole. The threads on the 90 elbow look usable. 34" wide or 41" wide with right pan leaf in place. 31" deep from back to front oven handle. 30" tall to top of stove burner plates. 61" tall to top of backsplash. When the Wrought iron range company first started they made their pans out of the same cast iron as their stoves. They iron skillets warped so badly they are hardly ever found. This is a early water bucket made to hang on the side of the range when not in use. I guess since water was used in this bucket it kept it at the same temperature.It did not warp like the skillets do. I have seen a couple of these buckets on line but never with the early patent date on it. They are from a later manufacturing after the cast iron was changed. Antique Home Comfort Coal / Wood Cook Stove
Nice early 1900's Home Comfort cookstove. I bought it out of a hunting cabin years ago and until recently cooked on it and heated a portion of our house with it. I replaced several of the firebox liners(available from Lehman's. Kidron Ohio) Epoxy matrix repaired one warming oven door hinge, and installed a stainless steel liner to the oven. The hot water tank is presently located on the left side of the stove and the copper liner is intact with no holes but there is rust along the bottom lip of the tank that supports the liner. I didn't hesitate to burn coal in this stove but as with any antique appliance, the new owner will do so at their own risk. All in all, I think it is in better shape than most of the similar stoves on eBay and that there are years of service left in this beauty. 1953 Vintage antique HOME COMFORT E-1 electric cooking stove range oven IT WORKS
Vintage Home Comfort E-1 electric cooking stove. This stove worked when my step-grandpa last used it. After testing it recently. I found that both the upper and lower coils in the oven heat up, as can be seen in the photo, so the oven works. All four burners also heat as they should. I cannot get the dial to turn to test the middle"deep well. However, I may have been doing something wrong as I initially thought the oven was not working until I found the manual, which also goes along with the auction, and realized I just had it in the wrong mode. I should have re-tested the deep well dial after finding the manual, but I forgot to, and the stove is almost 2 hours from us. The plastic/glass cover is missing off the timer, and I did not test the timer. It has been kept in his kitchen in his heated home for the last ten years. It is as is ... morebut most everything appears to be working. The burners and oven definitely work. It is about 40 inches wide by about 27 inches deep(including the handles out front) and the height from the floor to the top is about 37 inches plus about another 9 inches for the area where the dials are located. The manual along with various other documents, like a bill of sale and original purchase letter from the company are also included. This was bought in 1953 brand new and my step-grandpa's family was the original and only owner. This item ships from a smoke-free building. This listing is for a used but in nice shape an early's 1900 antique home and comfort wood and coal cook stove made by the wrought iron range company st. Louis Missouri. We acquired this stove from an elderly woman's farm house that she used to cook and heat her house with up until she passed away 4 years ago, we were going to install it in our log home but my family and I are all disabled now and we can't move or lift any thing heavy or do any repairs to our home so its just stored away in our garage covered up. Here is a catalogue/cookbook from the Wrought Iron Range Co. for their Home Comfort Cook Stove. This book is from 1920 and celebrates their 56th anniversary. It is a combination of recipes. Testimonials from buyers, the stoves themselves, their attachments, how they are built and lots of other stuff. The book contains 168 pages and is about 9 1/2" by 7" in size. It is in really nice condition considering it is over 90 years old. It has a small, about 1" tear in the binding at the bottom and some very light staining on the bottom corner of about the last 20 pages. Really nice condition for its age.

Listing this for my Father in law. He bought this many years ago with the intention of restoring it but never did. This model had the ability to also function as a water heater but it appears it had been used dry and the casting for that is busted. From the information I found in my research on this stove I believe it to be between a 1937- 1939 model. Everything appears to be there and in useable shape as is other than that. As I have looked around it appears this model with the warming compartments above is a rare find. As most that have been listed(at least on the internet) don't have them. He told me that He had the other handles for the other 2 doors but could not find them at the time I took the photos. to be safe though assume they are missing. This Antique Home Comfort Wood Burning Oven has been in my family for almost 100 years and was used at the Family Ranch. The temperature gauge still works as far as I know. My Grandmother was so happy to get a new modern electric stove. How funny as I think this is so neat. I just moved to a small apartment and finally have to give this up. The front oven doors are a light cream color and the enamel is a grayish blue speckled color. The two piece chimney pipe is included but if you want to use the oven you will need to purchase more to vent out of your home or cabin. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a beautiful cast iron pediment/plaque that was removed from an original antique Home Comfort stove. This one is quality. It reads"Home Comfort" and has a sickle with wheat in the center. And much of its original silver finish is still present, with just enough worn to show ... morea little surface rust and give it some primitive charm. It measures 9 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" tall. The screw holes from its original mounting measure 8 7/8" center of hole to center of hole. It still has two screws inside the holes that have a fancy cast flower design on the front, I'm guessing that they are original. The both have what looks to be like a little solder on their backside(at the back of the plate on the very end of the screws) and that holds them in the holes, I'm thinking you would be able to chip that off to remove them if you wanted to- I have not tried, though. This is a heavy cast iron piece- weighing only a teeeenie fraction of what the stove weighed, but still hefty at 3 1/2 lbs. Excellent overall condition- totally solid, sturdy and strong. Please see my photos for the finish wear, and for the surface rust, I think it's minor, but it is all over in small light spots, and it's surface only. The back is blackblack and you can see some surface rust there too. It is dirty, especially the back, and really needs a good bath- I have not cleaned or messed with the as found patina in any way. Plus an extra 1 1/2" for the bolt holes It was painted a flat balck many years ago. And has a mice patina from the old paint. There are no chips or cracks. VINTAGE 1930 HOME COMFORT WOOD COOK STOVE PORCELAIN DOORS GRAY WHITE SPECKLED
This wonderful Home Comfort antique wood stove shared a place in my home and heart for many years. But after my 3rd and last move, there was no room and it is now in storage and needs to find another home. It was never used by myself, it was always a display stove. I had the top plates blasted and primed years ago so the red showing on top is still the primer coat, I meant to paint it black but never did. It can be picked up in Two Rivers Wisconsin and is easy to access and load as it is sitting in a garage in cold storage. The heat indicator gauge plate reads Wirco 1930, patented October 24, 1922.
