Item up for auction is a Home Comfort enamel coated wood cookstove that was purchased new by my grandparents some time in the 1930's and was used daily until the house was redone with electric appliances sometime in the late forties or fifties. At which time it was placed in dry storage with the metal surfaces coated in paraffin wax to preserve the finish and protect from corrosion. And in the front is cast the numbers"10467" There are three holes on each side of the base for mounting to the floor of the caboose. The center section wall of the cast iron is 3/4 inch thick. Total height 39 inches. Max width and depth each 20.5 inches at the base. The stove will separate into multiple sections. Great condition. No cracks.

Rove diameter of base 8 1/2" Length of the jacket is 24" and consumption 50 to 60 cu ft, and weighs 50 lbs. As shown in the pictures. All parts seem to be there, some rusting in areas, the top pipe I could not remove so I will have to cut it for shipping and will leave enough to get the pipe wrench on it. This auction is for an Antique. Circa 1885, Silver Spirit Stove. This is an alcohol burning stove. Bottom says Pat Apd For. This is a cast iron little stove that measurers 2 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide(6 1/2" wide with handle) Alcohol burner/pot measures aprx 3" wide, with seven holes, this burner appears to be brass. Overall condition is actual very good with minor surface rust. This should polish up nicely. All moving parts work freely. To operate the stove pour some metholated alcohol into the brass burner with seven air holes. light the open burner. then decide how powerful you need the flames by putting on the damper and adjusting the pivoting lids. or leave the damper off for the most intense burn. If you leave the damper off the stove will rapidly burn the alcohol. The upright air holes of the burner pull oxygen from ... morebelow to feed the flames upward. Antique Radiant Home No 21 Germer Stove Co., Circa 1900's
This rare and beautiful Radiant Homes stove was manufactured by Germer Stove Company. Erie, PA around the early 1900's. Germer Stove Company made some of the most beautiful and efficient parlor stoves at the turn of the century. This model is a direct draft oak stove and it burns either wood but can be adapted for coal too. It is constructed from cast iron. It has been restored once but needs a touch up on paint. There is barely any rust on it. It will need isinglass replaced in the window. All the knobs are present and working. Height is approx 48" tall to the top. Base measurement is approx 24" X 24" on the bottom- leg to leg. The fire pot is approx. 18" diameter. The top of stove was used for a cook stove or heating water. This cast iron and tin antique pot bellied parlor stove was manufactured by Southern Stove Works. Inc. of Richmond, VA, with Pat. date of Nov. 1902. The stove is named WINNER. Model No. 20. It measures 26 inches high from the top of the stove to the floor, and is 16 inches wide by 20 inches deep. The original decorative finial top is mounted on a round base which swings to the side to expose a useful cook-top- a flat hinged lid which also opens to the left and gives access to the firebox. There is a round chimley opening in the rear portion of the top of the stove measuring 5 3/8” in diameter. It does not have an interior fire grid for holding wood or coal. A decorative piece emblazoned with“Southern Stove Works” is located on each side near the base of the firebox. On the top of the stove is found: Patented Nov. 1902" WINNER" and, ... morearound the stove pipe hole"Southern Stove Wrks Richmond, Va" The ball on the three-piece finial is pressed inward at the ends where the finial cap goes through and the finial rod has a slight bend where it attaches to the cap. Wedgewood stove, gas and wood, circa 1930s
This is a Wedgewood gas and wood stove. We had it in the family about 30 years. And we were told that it is from"around the 1930s. There are 4 gas burners, and two holes for the wood stove side. This is a very heavy stove, and the buyer would need to bring a truck, a flat dolly, and a few helpers to move it into the truck. There is some minor surface rust. So it needs to be cleaned thoroughly. All the parts are there. On the gas side. On the wood stove side, there is an hourglass piece that is missing, which holds the round top pieces. We are sure that this can be fabricated easily in a metal shop. The clock cover is cracked and in need of repair. Though this has nothing to do with the working of the stove. This vintage stove. Circa 1940's, is from my husband's grandfather's house. We have never hooked it up but are fairly certain that it works as he told us once that the only reason he saved it was as a back up should his stove break. He wasn't one to have a lot of clutter in his home so therefore, I believe it works. It would also be so cute as a bakery display. There are multiple drawers that open. Those drawers could be lined with vintage paper and hold baker product. Also, it would look great in a restaurant and of course would make a great theatre prop. We originally planned on using it in a cabin but never built the cabin and now would like to regain the storage space it is taking up. The pictures speak to its excellent condition. There are no chips. Cracks or scratches on panels or enamel. This is the cleanest early 1950’s ovens I have seen. The Range has a 4 stove burners on the top and oven below with the original drip pan is in place(as seen in the pictures) The light on the back panel works perfectly and so does the timer. The electrical cord could be replaced as it does show signs of dry-rot which is typical of a 50+ year old unit. The upper left knob is cracked but in working condition. For your consideration I have a 1909 G.E. flat stove. Bottom reads? Electric stove. Cat no, 76616. volts 106-115. AMP max 5-55.7 med. min. General Electric co U.S.A. I found this on the internet doing a google search. I found the exact picture( I think it was from an old sales catalog? It stated it was a 1909 flat stove. It has no cord with it. That is even if this came with a cord. From a diagram I found it looked like the stove plugged into the house. Like we now have a 220 for our electric stoves already there. BUT I could be mistaken on that and this may have came with a cord that has just went missing. I do know that in 1909 electric was in its infancy and nothing then was wired as it is today and even if I could plug it in I wouldn't as I would figure it would at best fry it at worse start a fire. Neat old piece for any cast iron ... morecollection. Would look great with a small cast iron skillet setting on it. Or a great piece for early electric collectors. CONDITION. As you can see in the pictures it has no damage other than age patina and some surface rust underneath. The receptacle is not cracked and intact. No cracks or breaks in the cast iron or other parts.
