Very nice 1919 Excelsior Stove and Manufacturing Company catalog with nice graphics on the front cover. It features many pictures and information on their products including National stoves. Ranges, and furnaces. The office and foundry was located in Quincy, Illinois. The hardbound catalog measures about 10 7/8" by 8" and contains 256 pages. Generally in good condition with a good binding and tight pages. It has a surface tear on the top right of the front cover and edge wear and some light moisture stains on the front and back covers. Along part of the bottom edge of the catalog(mostly on the right) there is some moisture damage on the page edges.

1927 Round Oak Stove Catalog on CD The Round Oak Stove Company was founded in Dowagiac. Michigan in 1871 by P.D. Beckwith(Philo D. Beckwith) Beckwith cast his first stove around 1867 to heat his struggling foundry and shortly after, the Michigan Central Railroad ordered the heaters for its depots between Detroit and Chicago. By 1871, Beckwith was mainly producing heating stoves, and thus founded the company. The origin of the name Round Oak is unknown. The first theory is that Beckwith stoves were round and could hold a section of whole round oak tree in the firepot. The second theorizes that he named it after a foundry of the same name in England. This old catalog is beat up. Has some writing on pages and so forth, the cover and first few pages are loose, but it looks to me like it's complete and I can see why it's been used so much, it's really a nice one except for the condition. It's must be from 1895-1900 from the looks of the stoves. It's 218 pages long, about half is cookstoves, and the rest is heating stoves. Many baseburners and oak stoves are pictured.
