Furnace Door with Handle. item was in the cellar. I believe it is one of the doors from the furnace when it was used as a coal stove. The furnace is: IBR united states radiator corp series 21-3D. I believe this item is Cast Iron and it has alot of surface rust. item is pre-owned. But not pre-certified, no warranty expressed or implied. selling"AS IS" NO charge for pick ups of any of my items! Offered here is a cast iron door from a stove or furnace AS-IS. It measures 12 3/4 X 7 1/2 inches not including the hinges and closure. The hinges have holes for a pin. The top pin is still there. The company started in 1877 and in the early 1920 the Droegkamp Company started making their own furnace called the“Droegkamp Royal Furnace” This is the only part I have. It measures 12 3/8 th inches wide and 7 ½ inches tall. The mounting arms that hold the pins stick out 1 ¼ inches from the edge of the door. The surface is very rusty so you can hardly see the original surface, but the wonderful embossed lettering still stands out dramatically. The rusty patina is super attractive and I have left it as it was found. There is a portion of the slate lining still hanging on as can be seen in the photo of the back view. The shape of the door is a trapezoid with the top width being 11-3/4" while the bottom width is 12-3/4" Height is 11" x 1-1/2" thickness at the widest part of the angled back brace and it weighs 9 pounds 14 ounces. This is a great looking cast iron square furnace boiler door. Was made by the Payne Furnace& Supply Co. Age is not known. But guessed at around 1920's. This was removed from our house when they refurbished the furnace. Our house was built in 1927. This would be fantastic item to display or as a mail slot. Measures 8.5" long x 8" wide. There is some rusting. But appears to be in great shape, original black has not been painted over.
