Looks like everything is there and would probably work fine(my opinion) but I'm not an expert.There is only light surface rust as far we can tell and would paint up nice or left as is for that great patina look. 1893 Original Georg Haller Kerosene Ottensen Hamburg THREE Wick Stove WOW! What a fantastic find. After research and figuring was this was it has quite some history. Many people in europe had to travel to find work during the turn of the century. They needed a cook stove that was made very well and portable. This is cast iron and enamel. Some had one two. Three and a few four burners. They ran on kerosene. They all mainly used the same size wick. This has the remains of a old wick. The bottom pan for the kerosene is in fantastic shape. It has rust drippings from the iron parts that will really clean up. The upper enamel cook pan has one small round scrape on the side as shown, rest in fantaastic shape. The cast iron has rust and after cleaning up it would be a super terrific show-piece. On the bottom grate it is broken through about 1/4 of ... morea inch. It also has a extra ring on the inside that I read was used for smaller pots. Only 118 years old! The research states the early 1900's, but this is earlier than that. It is quite ornate also, not like some of the others I saw. I also thought the hole on the side needed another part to be attached. It probably had a plug, but is suppose to be there as a venting hole. It is a real history treasure. A real heavy piece, will take ectra packaging to avoid anything getiing bent and will be insured. Vintage Working Perfection Stove/Heater #500 Wick Burner Kerosene/Oil Tank Type
Up for auction is a Vintage Working Perfection Stove/Heater# 500 Wick Burner Kerosene/Oil Tank Type Complete. It's in good used working condition. The Tank is in good condition with some minor surface rust. The Fuel Gage. Filler Cap, and Wick Adjuster all works good. The Flame Spreader has surface rust and on one side its smashed down a little bit but works fine. The Gallery that surrounds the wick is thin perforated Brass with a small tin handle. The handle has just about rusted off and the brass has three small cracks. It still works you just have to be careful when you take it off to get to the wick. The wick could be replaced but it still has about 1/4 life left. Check out the pictures for they are part of the description. The only writing I can see on it is stamped on the top of the burner and it appears to read as follows: PATENTS PENDING JULY 10. 1900, NOV 13, 1900, FEB 11, 1902" I believe this stove is over 100 years old and it is in great condition for its age. The tank, fuel gage, filler cap, wick adjuster, and flame spreader are all intact and in very good condition. The folk art is beautiful. THERE IS MICA IN THE OPENING. THE UNIT IS 27" TALL AND AROUND 13" ACROSS THE FEET. THIS HEATER IS THE SAME STYLE AS A PERFECTION UNIT BUT IT WAS MADE UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME.
