Also marked"Charter ... moreOak St Louis" on back. It is big and heavy. Made of cast iron it is about 40 inches wide. 25 inches deep(excluding handles on front and excluding pipe connector on rear) It is about 32 inches tall at the grill plus 20 inches for the backsplash for a total overall of 52 inches tall. I did not have a scale to weigh this on but it is very heavy. Firebox has some damages(photo#7) Ash pan needs replaced. Small piece broke off backsplash mounting arm(far left bottom in photo#3. Backsplash is still solidly attached) Left side of pipe connector is cracked(photo#12) Left side door needs a catch. Oven door is set up with a spring closure which needs adjusted. Other rather minor flaws. All four legs are good. Porcelain/enamel is nice with some rather minor blemishes. Water heater and fold out spigot are good. Has all of the hot plate lids and burners. Sold as a display/collector item. It probally needs some repairs before it would be safe/wise to use. See photos for condition. Contact me for payment methods at time of pick-up. Very Xtra Heavy and big. For local pickup only. In Sullivan Missouri, within 15 days of purchase. I do not recommend trying to get a freight company to haul this for you. It is very heavy and hard to move around. I will have no involvement nor responsibility in the shipping of this item other than I can"help" load this item onto your carrier. I moved this with a total of 3 strong men but would recommend 4. You can inspect this item at time of pick-up. No returns after you or your appointed carrier take it. See photos for details. Mirus Antique French Wood Burning Stove. Cast Iron With Beautiful Green Enamel, Top Open To Use Hot Plate, Has 3 Mica Windows With Side Door For Loading. This is a superb little Art Nouveau style log burner by the famous French company Mirus. It dates from sometime in the 1920's. It has been used as you will see from the photos. The enamel has quite a few marks/areas where it has come off(see pictures) however this has not detracted from it's look because it is an antique. Which has been useful. It is green in color. It's modest size means that it will fit quite well into any moderately sized fireplace. It's look is mid way between Art Nouveau and Arts& Crafts which is quite popular. This Stove was once is magnificent condition. I cooked a vast array of home cooked meals and some of the best baked breads in this stove. It is a light green and cream colored enamel and cast iron stove. I believe it is of the late 1800's but not certain. This stove is a restoration project. It has some missing parts. Rust and chipped enamel and is dirty It was once a glorious stove and well worth the time and expense to fix It was unbeknown to me put outside and has been exposed to weather However it is a great nostalgic piece and can be either restored or simply cleaned and used for décor I have previously used"Stove Black" on the cast iron which makes it look brand new and can be obtained at some hardware stores or online. It was minted in San Franscisco between 1890 and 1910, moved to Virginia City, Nevada, Silver Mines, then moved to Lake Tahoe, then sold in an Estate Sale to me. The sale was at the same time of the Lorne Green Bonanza Estate sale in spring of 2013 but the procurer was not certain if it came from the Lorne Green holdings. It is spectacular and cared for, definitely someone of influence and affluence. Normally these are about 30" wide. Due to the vent with cast scroll work at left it is 38.5" wide or 47" wide to edge of removable pan leaf on right(and the round pot holders extend it another 6" to right) 30" tall ... moreto burner level. 57.5" tall to top of back panel. 30" deep from back to front oven handle. I love wood burning stoves and this is by far the most prestigious stove Ive ever seen. Nickle is in excellent shape. Stove itself is also in excellent shape. Rectangular pan leaf to right is removable as are the 2 round pan holders. Includes the 2 cast iron pots you see. Bread warmer overhead. Just below the bread warmer are 2 round nickel coated pan holders that hinge and swing down to horizontal position. The pics do not do it justice. This is absolutely. 2 Original Antique Cast Iron Majestic Wood Burning Stove Shelves With Brackets I have to tell you about the auction that I went to this week. It was in Geneva Illinois. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. I can’t tell ... moreyou how excited I am to be listing my treasures from the sale. I will be listing them for weeks to come. I also have the last of my farm auctions and South Dakota finds listed this week, so there’s something for everyone! I have to apologize for my hard to figure out photos of these two old stove shelves. All 4 pieces are wired together in order to keep from separating. And I couldn't unwind them without a pair of gloves or at least a tinsnip! What I have(whether or not you could tell! is a pair of original Majestic brand wood stove shelves. Dating to the late 1800s, early 1900s, both of these shelves would have been mounted inside of the brackets that you see with them on the back wall of the stove. The brackets would have been at the base of the shelves, and the shelves folded up flush against the back of the stove for when not in use. You can see that each shelf has a pin on either side that fits into the openings on the brakcets. The brackets then each have two holes for mounting on the wall of the stove. My Husband Eddie came across this wood burning heater one day when he saw some workers carrying it out of a basement of an old home. Close to where he lived in San Antonio, Texas. He asked them what they were going to do with it and when they said they were going to scrap it, Eddie asked if he could buy it from them instead. They obliged. Later Eddie learned a little history on it from someone who was around when it was first purchased: In the early 1900's a man, Mr. McIlvaine, had a sick daughter. He hired a live-in nurse to care for her, and the nurse requested that Mr. McIlvaine install indoor heating for the sick child. He purchased the cast iron wood burning heater in this listing, and it was installed in the basement(of the home it was being taken out of at the time when my Husband bought it) The heater did at one time have a door. ... moreA top section, and possibly feet. The parts of this heater that we have break down into 3 pieces which are stacked one on top of another. The top two pieces spin in different directions. Dimensions are: total height is 39 3/4" at its widest point or front to back the heater is 35" the very top opening is 11" with a surrounding perimeter of 15" the bottom opening is 29" wide X 16" tall; the top(really it's the middle) opening is 16 1/2" wide X 10" tall. The heater is very old and it shows. It is not brittle. Though. We've moved it several times including very recently without anything falling off, breaking, cracking, or chipping. Each section is solid. This is a piece of history which is getting lost in our hands. We're hoping someone can take it. Appreciate it, and give it a wider audience than we could. Normally I accept returns but for this item I will not. Item is sold as is. This is a very heavy item. As far as shipping is concerned. Antique SPARK Cast Iron Salesman Sample Wood Burning Pot Belly Stove- This is a nice little stove that could almost be considered a toy. Except for the fact that it actually works. This particular stove has been used.the remnants of soot. Etc. still show in the photos. These little stoves were made by Grey Casting Company in Mount Joy. PA as replicas that salesmen would take to potential customers. They were produced with all working parts. The shaker grate empties into the cleanout. The drafts can be adjusted and all the doors open. The top plate can be taken off and you can actually connect it to a stove pipe. It stands 13 1/2" tall x 8" wide from foot to foot and 9" deep from foot to foot. CONDITION: This stove does show signs of being used and also has some surface rust. One of its legs has a broken piece up under the body ... moreat a point that would hold it in place by the nut. It still stands. But that point could be repaired. It stands fine as it is, though. Rare Antique Cast Iron Wood Burning Stove and Heater
You are bidding on an Antique Cast Iron Stove. This is truly a great piece and beautiful to look at. As you can see in the pics. I have burned some wood inside this to make sure it works as good as it did in its prime. I am selling this as an antique, and I have not made any modifications to it since I have had it. I do notice that on the"wings" that there have been screws replaced and on the silver faceplate, but does not affect the look of it. As you can see, the top does remove and the bottom does unscrew, however, time has taken a toll on some of the pieces. The center piece that looks like a spring door needs to be re-welded or brazed to the frame again. The base has also suffered a stress crack and a few fracture lines which will also need to be mended. Overall though, this stands roughly 4+ feet and is beautiful. I could not find another one like it from my searches on the web. Great working condition. We used it to heat the porch/kitchen for several years. Piece of door to wood/ash pan has broken off in the upper left corner and has a crack on the bottom. Top plate also has a crack near front(see pictures) Local pickup preferred. The vase shaped part is made of metal, the larger base is cast iron. The base part was nickel plated with much of the plate rusted or missing. I can find no makers mark. Up for auction are 2 Antique Wood/Coal Burning Cast Iron Stove Lids with Lid Lifters. The first lid is 9" wide and has no labels or stamps of any kind. It is in good condition. On the bottom there is some surface pitting and the lip where the lifter goes there are holes on each side. The holes do not effect it or the lifter being used with it in any way. The second lid is 8" wide and is stamped 8 B CV3126. It is in good condition. It needs to be cleaned. The first lid lifter has a spiral handle and is 8 1/2" long. It is stamped 561 on the inside towards the handle. It is in good condition. All it needs is to be cleaned. The second lid lifter has a spiral curved handle and is stamped ARCTIC on the side. Wehrle Cast Iron Antique Victorian Wood Burning Pot Belly Parlor Stove
This is a large. 58" tall, antique cast iron stove. Produced by Wehrle. This is their Model Number 18. It certainly must have been a top of the line model given all of the fancy Art Nouveau cast decoration. It disassembles into very manageable sections. So. Potentially, one person could move and install this. Although, I don't believe that I want to crate up that many pieces of cast iron and trust it to a shipping company, given how fragile cast iron can be. So, either you can come pick it up, make arrangements with an independent shipper, or perhaps, I may even be able to deliver it to you. I would say that the condition is pretty good. These are defects that I have noticed: The finial. The little adornment at the very top of the stove, is bent off center and it is missing one of it's flanking arms. The trim that goes around ... morethe belly is cracked in several places. All the pieces are there and they match up pretty tight when reassembled. They will even stay snug to the stove in the condition that they are in. But again, there are several fractures that segment that piece of trim all the way around the circumference of the stove. There is some corrosion at the pot belly. Where there is a seam between the upper and lower sections. I do not see any clearly evident holes. There are three pieces of trim that rest into the brackets that go around the stoves belly. But until those get repaired, I didn't want to attach them. I have a ton of more pictures available. Ash door(I believe) a small cover with two hook attachment pieces, on the front is GRAY& DUDLEY NASHVILLE, a bit of silver still showing through, no breaks or damage, surface rust from age, measures just over 7.5" across and just over 3.5" top to bottom, marked on the back 71 and the two attachment pieces are 1.5" long, a nice replacement part or to add to a collection.
