The water heater pictured in the kitchen next to the kitchen sink of the artwork is also fueled by kerosene. Hi: For your consideration here is a scare antique'Florence' brand stove finial! The finial is a bit over 3 7/8" tall from base to center top tip. 2 5/8" wide at the Florence lettering, and a variable(thinner at the top) 1/4" thick. The base of the finial is a rough 1/2" in both directions and does not have a hole for mounting. A magnet does not stick and we are not sure of the material it is made of. We found no breaks or missing pieces, but the part does have oxidation/discoloration as shown in the photos. A great old stove finial! 1930's Florence kerosene stove with two wicks and 4 each of both stovetop and kerosene burners. This stove is in need of some loving restoration but all the parts are there. We believe, save for the wicks needed for the kerosene. It came with the house we recently purchased and we are not aware of the last time it was used, but we believe it was within the last 5 years. We do know that it kept the house nice and toasty during the Ice Storm of 1998. It is a heavy. Meaning well-built unit that, once restored should provide many more years of service than modern-day appliances and will operate, most importantly, whether the power is on or not. This makes you realize how much nicer life is now than it was then! This is a stove that was for your sad iron or to put one pot on to cook with. It is in pretty good condition. Though not the best. It is missing the plug where the oil goes in. The paint is chipped some and definitely shows wear. The last patent date on the back is June 8,1886. The piece is a wonderful bit of history and would display beautifully. There is still a wick in it, so I am sure that you could use a cork in place of the stopper and still use the stove. Item Description Hot Blast Florence Parlor Stove Estate Find Condition– Used– Buying as is Very nice Antique Parlor Stove. The name on the back is C Emrich and it has two dates on it. The patented date is 1899. Another piece is dated April 10. 1917. I am guessing it was the date it was made. I picked this up at an estate auction recently. It is truly a piece of American Art. It is roughly 68 inches tall and if I had to guess. I would say it weighs at least 175-200 pounds, but that is just an estimation. I plan on doing one of two things with it. 1. Sell it as a whole. 2. Refurbish it and then sell it as a whole. If you want it while the price is cheap. Please buy it now. If I pay to get it updated the price is going up. I don’t know a lot about stoves. Vintage 1930s Florence Stove Co Kerosene/Gas Kitchen Cook Stove
This is an early 1930s(1931/1932) kerosene cooking stove. This was taken from a farmhouse set for demolition with the plan to restore. Unfortunately. No time or expertise to restore so it sat in a garage for 10+ years. Made by the Florence Stove Co. of Gardner, MA. Model No. GR-50(I think-last# is difficult to read on the tag but see photo) It has 3 burners and an oven. It's rusted but solid and it looks like all the parts are here. It just needs someone to bring it back to its former glory. Approximate measurements are 50" W x 50" H x 20-1/4" D. I am not the original owner of this item(s) so I do not know all/ every element item may have been exposed to and/or environments kept in. New Cast IRON MIDDLE SECTION COMBUSTION RING. Thi s i s c a s t from a used oem ring. Due to the shrinkage of molten metal a s it cool s. Expect to h a ve to elongate hole s a bit. Apply liberal a mount of stove cement/mortar when assembling your stove. Thi s p a rt w ill be approximately 95% of the s i z e of the original p a rt. In other words the metal shrink a bout 5% w hen cooling. Measured out s ide to outside. OEM i s 19.5" the re c a s t ring i s 19. 25" stacked one on top of the other. Approximately 1/8" of the OEM s ho w s uniformly round the perimeter. This is demonstrated in photo#1. BTW I have other FLORENCE parts available. Some listed, additional parts include the bottom wood grate and slide gate for Florence 153 AND 155 stoves. Generally, all my items are also listed locally and/ or on other auction or"for ... moresale" sites which may cause the EBAY listing to be canceled due to it's sale elsewhere, making the"buy it now" feature the most attractive if you really need the item.
