VINTAGE 1913 PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL # 140 C KEROSENE HEATER PARLOR STOVE 140-C
You are bidding on a vintage PERFECTION SMOKELESS OIL HEATER. It is model# 140-C(Which I believe to be from 1913) This is in working order and is really cool! This smokeless heater is in vintage condition. And there is some surface rust from over the years. I love the look as is. However, from my reasearch I have seen these beautifully redone, but I thought it was best to let the restoration up to the new owner. It measures 23.5 inches tall x 16.75 inches at the furthest distance between the legs. The vents all seem to work well. And the heater opens and closes nicely. The oil tank is really cool as well, being made out of either brass or copper! It may need a wick in the near future, but the heater lights up nicely(as can be seen in the pictures) And yes, I emptied out all the oil afterwards in order to avoid a huge mess in the mailing process. ... moreEnjoy. Offered for your consideration is an Antique Perfection Smokeless Kerosene Oil Heater No. 130. Patented May 23, 1913. This antique heater is 24” tall. The chrome/stainless steel trim has surface corrosion and can be restored to its beauty when it was new 100 years ago. The patent date is May 23. 1913. The kerosene oil tank has the fuel gauge that shows how much fuel remains in the tank. I have not tested that to see if it is functioning. There is a wick although I don’t know if it is still usable. Wicks are still available online or at some hardware stores. I have posted close-up pictures for your review. If you have any questions just ask and I will do my best to give an accurate answer. Antique (1902 -1912) Perfection #130C Smokeless Oil or Kerosene Heater
Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil- Kerosene Heater Antique Perfection Smokeless Oil Heater. I rubbed off enough of the"patina" to determine this heater has 1900 and 1902 patent dates. There is also a"7 12" stamped in the top of the wick cap(see 2nd to last photo) That may indicate a production date. I think the later models came out in 1913. It still has a good Perfection wick. This kerosene heater measures approximately 24 1/2" tall, 12 1/2" side to side, and 12 1/2" front to back. This old heater appears complete except for the sight glass and would make a great restoration project if you want it to look like new. Or you could leave it as is, as shown in photos, for a rustic addition to your decor.

It has all the metal emblems and embellishments that is should have as far as I can tell. Looks like everything is there and would probably work fine(my opinion) but I'm not an expert.There is only light surface rust as far we can tell and would paint up nice or left as is for that great patina look. The top of the unit opens where it would reveals the burner. This is just a great piece. Not seeing many dings or dents. Maybe a small on here or there. Handle is intact. Antique RARE 1900-1902 Old! PERFECTION No. 160 Smokeless Kerosene Heater. Turn of the century Patent Dates 1900-1902. Brass burner missing few minor parts from what I can see, see picture where burner has been disassembled. No wick, gear is good and moves wick holder up-down. Tested the part that holds the kerosene and strangely it does not leak at all. Tested with water for several days. Bottom don't have cracks at all as the sides do. Appears the heater has been repainted and looks nice considering how old it is, no major dents, don't see no dent's actually. Being sold as is as Found with no warranty or for parts or repair. These are great old heaters, we have another one listed on ebay that does work and they heat fast and let off extra lighting with a shadow effect from the holes/ piercing in the metal heater case, really ... moreneat! Black smokeless oil kerosene heater, "Perfect" brand, some condition issues
Black kerosene heater. Perfect" brand- This auction item is being offered particularly for those"in the know" about such stoves. I've included sufficient pictures for them to see what this is and what it is not. As is my practice I photograph an item in a way that highlights its flaws, and I share with you any and all of my doubts. I am not an expert on these stoves, but this looks like it may turn out to be a deal for someone. It stands 23 1/4 inches high. Is 10 inches wide at the top, and at it's widest point(toe to toe) on the bottom measures 15 inches. There are what appear to be patent numbers around the top of the burner enclosure. I see no starting point. So I will include the numbers here, starting with a section where I can't read about 5 numbers: illegible] 693- 006- 653- 449- 1.162.714- 1.091.667- 749[followed ... moreby what appears to be"132" My authenticity concerns: There are a lot of"Perfection" brand stoves out there for sale. And some of those are flagged as"Nesco" brand. Those stoves often have features that are missing on the one I have, including more ornate vent holes heavier metal rings and trim, and the occasional chrome or enamel. Again, this stove lacks those extra features and has a mica burner view window, where the Perfection brand stoves all appear to have a metal mesh viewer. This stove does not say Nesco anywhere on it, and their use of a brand name"Perfect" makes me think we may have a lesser-quality copy. Condition: I have reason to believe this has bee repainted on the outside. And my guess is they used the appropriate type of"stove polish" material. It would not be noticeable but for the fact that a couple of the feet have holes that must have rusted through. I've photographed the most compromised of those feet. It is still quite strong, but probably would not hold up upon being dropped as much as it would if it didn't have the holes. The inside around the burner top has rust, but does not appear to be

Does have rust to metal trim and some chips in the enamel. Flame/wick adjustment knob is stuck. I believe due to old gummy wick still in the burner. I do not know if it works but am selling it as home décor. The tank had a small amount of kerosene in it, which I drained, but there will be a bit of a kerosene odor.
