Glenwood Parlor Stove No. 123 This auction is for an original beautiful looking. Chrome accented Glenwood Parlor stove. The back of the stove reads Glenwood No. 123 Weir Stove Co. Tauton, MA. This stove has a side loader, two hidden cook tops, chrome foot rest, cherub front door design and challis. Challis is complete and undamaged other than being a little aged like the rest of the stove. All of the moving parts work as they should. When the front door is open there is a great, ornate front gate. There are no known broken parts. It was viewed recently by a professional stove installer and he found the stove to be sturdy, solid, not warped and undamaged. It is in great shape for its age. It measures 42" to the top of the challis. 27" wide at the widest part at the base and 24" deep from the front to the back. Glenwood Stove Racks
Two(2) matching cast iron rack with GLENWOOD the bottoms have four(4) feet to hold the rack up about a 1/4" and there is two stubs also about a 1/4" on the rear top sides. Both are rusty neither have any broken sections One of the front like the pull sections of the rack is larger than the other. Do you need two Glenwood racks to make a reconditioned stove complete? 1926 Glenwood N Restored natural gas converted restored stove. It's beautiful and in great shape! Everithing is in perfect working order. It's puting out a lot of heat. Gas conversion kit incuded. This sale is for one Glenwood Gold Medal Antique Coal and Gas Stove with Original Tools. It was manufactured around the 1920s or 1930s by the Glenwood Range Company in Tauton. Massachusetts It is all original with the original tools and pans. The enamel is a gorgeous green and has some chips and dings. There is a crack under the handle of one of the overhead oven doors. The two cooktop grates are broken and the damper and handle are broken but the parts are included. There is some rust. Especially on the upper oven interior panels. The thermometer glass is missing but the needle is intact. Two of the original glass panes are still intact, one needs replacement. It measures 62" high. 35" wide, and 35" deep. Glenwood gas stoves were made by New England's largest and best known stove foundry. The enamel on this cast iron stove is in almost mint condition. Some wear by the burners where pots were dragged over it. This handsome stove was probably made in the 1920's. Some of the metal has oxidized so look at the photos carefully. I bought it from a plumber a couple of years ago and decided I don't need it. I have seen these displayed in retail store windows where they look adorable. We recently replaced the oven after purchasing the home. It is fueled with natural gas. Dimensions are about 53" wide x 30" deep x 50" tall. These are maximum dimensions. Antique Glenwood 8-K Stove
This piece was my grandparents and it was given to my parents when they build their home in 1955. It was placed in the basement and the house was built around it. It was used to heat the basement on really cold days and that heat would radiate up to the first floor and heat the first floor. If one lost power. One could still cook. This was dis-assembled. Piece by piece and now resides in a shed. It requires re-assembly. It was in really fine condition. What is needs is new nuts and bolts and a mixture of a compound to create a small firewall in one section. If it will be ornamental, it doesn't even need that. I was in contact with a person who restores and sells antique stoves. He said this compound is readily available. Also, this particular unit has what all have of this model when they were used- a crack on the right side panel. He ... moreexplained that this was typical for this model and they all have the issue. Has no bearing on its use. He also had the following to say about this piece: Hi. You have a Glenwood 8-k made about 1930 or so. The plate on the right endsays Glenwood range-the earlier ones say Weir stove co. It has the home Grand back which is common for the period. Yours is well worth keeping if you have a place for it. They don't eat and you don't pay tax on it so store it till you want to use it. The back unbolts the doors come off the lids etc come off anf the base is separate. Don't wrap it up as this traps moisture and hurts the stove. Theyt are real workhorses. Great stove to put away for yourself. You WILL want to use it someday. When out west in the middle of no where. I saw a Glenwood but it wasn't this color or in this condition. They were still using theirs to cook on top of and also using the oven. I would love to have this in my home where one can admire the shape. Color, condition, etc. but there is no room for it. $1700 or best offer. It is waiting in a shed for it's new owner. I have this great old wood/coal stove.The grates are gone for coal and it does need some restoration.Appears to be 2 top pieces with cracks and the back smoke chamber,I think it is called.This piece appears to be bolted onso I think it could be taken off and taced closed or replaced.The nickle pieces are all there, may wish to renickle? there is light rust on back.This came out of old farmhouse where it had been in use and was placed in barn recently, most likly due to smoke chamber crack as shown.I am selling as found so please ask any questions.Great display piece or restore and use,for pickup in Torrington,Ct. ANTIQUE GLENWOOD #8 WOOD AND COAL STOVE
This is an antique parlor stove. All original except for the handle in main door and it is missing the round lid in the back which I have replaced with a stainless steel plate. The trim is chrome and is quite worn, adding to its antique appearance. If used for heat, it is quite effective as I used it to heat a cabin in northern VT. It is now located in central CT and I had to take it apart to move it. I can reassemble it, but it is too heavy to move as a single unit, buyers choice. If not needed for heat, it will make a fantastic addition to the décor of the right home.

This Stove is way. Way complete, the base is 29"x29" and measures 66" from top to bottom, it is very heavy and will need to be disassembled for transport if you live next door or in Alaska, I believe it may as heavy as 350-400lbs, the good news is it is for the most part disassemble, that's how I have moved it so far, the workings are complete and the nickel plating is 115 years old, still looking good, I have replaced some of the stove bolts as the old bolts were retired, one small crack on the crown frill, however it remains complete and minor repairs are required, minor) small base crack, you only see this if you take apart for moving, The price is good here but the freight may be a problem, I can pack a hell of a stove but the weight may be the killer, I will ship to major cities only, This is a super cool stove, check ... moreit out and lets get to it!
