I'm not sure of the brand of stove that it was part of as there are no marks that I can see to identify it. Restoring this piece to a working stove would be great, but it could also be ... morerepurposed as interior or garden wall decor. The rusty patina is super attractive and I have left it as it was found. Measurements are about 12-3/4” overall width(including the latch& hinge brackets) or 10-7/8" for just the door x 8" height. VINTAGE CAST IRON 9" COOK STOVE EYE / LID LIFTER ~ ANTIQUE WOOD COAL WRENCH TOOL
Offered is a cast iron stove eye lifter. These were used to lift the eyes. Or lids, on old cook and heating stoves, as well as agitate the ash grates. The embossing on the handle is too weak for me to read so I am unable to connect it with a particular maker or era. It's obviously an older piece. The lifter is about 8-3/4 inches long and weighs about 7 ounces. I can't find the slightest damage beyond light use marks and some surface roughness. Likely from the original casting. The end of lifting lug is about 7/8 by 3/8 by 1/8 inches, and tapers. These can sometimes be ground a bit to fit a particular eye. The square end is about 1/2 by 5/8 inches. These were sometimes used to adjust internal oven vents in cookstoves as well. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look it over. Antique Vintage Decorative Wood Coal Cast Iron Stove Door Part 1
This decorative cast iron stove door was found recently. It is very rusty so you can hardly see the original surface. But the wonderful embossed designs stand out dramatically, nevertheless. The door has nice mica windows. I'm not sure of the brand of stove that it was part of as there are no marks that I can see to identify it. Restoring this piece to a working stove would be great, but it could also be repurposed as interior or garden wall decor. The rusty patina is super attractive and I have left it as it was found. Measurements are about 16 1/2” overall width(including the hinge brackets) or 15 3/4" for just the door x 8" height. With a 1 5/8” depth. Vintage set of four stove legs in good condition. 3 have been welded where the bolt goes in to hold to the bottom of the stove and one is still broke. The finish looks like a brown enamel. Measures 8 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide at the top.
