This is an original circa 1900 Victorian Palace Oak parlor stove with a cook top(according to description on back of stove)If I am understanding this correctly the top is a cooking surface as well as being a parlor stove so there likely was never a crown/pediment on the top. It is in as found condition with surface rust and one side piece needs repair.Very ornate stove and a great restoration project or re-purpose it! this is from an estate. Victorian iron bronze parlor stove
This is quite an unusual item. A late Victorian antique iron and bronze stove. Really a neat looking item in very good condition(there is a crack in the round plate on the top-but secure) A flat upper and a flat lower surface with a drawer on one side. I really like the round'globe' under the top. Note the very detailed and interesting lion head feet. Would make a great table. Overall height 37 Width: 32 Depth: 18. If you have any questions. Up for sale is a great fresh find from an old Estate. This is a" COX WHITEMAN CO. Philadelphia. PA. Circa 1866. Antique cast iron parlor wood stove. The fire box measures 21 inches L x 16 inches H. x 9 inches W, this is just the inside of the fire box, the chimney exchaust is 5 inches in Dia. Everything is in working condition ready to go. The legs are missing but I still might find them in the building. It could be set on four bricks until something is found or made. The orginal legs slide on just like the old claw foot bathtubs are made. Like a wedge. Even a piece of hard wood would work. These bring good money as collectible stoves even without the feet. The stove had some minor surface rust so it was clean off and painted with Rust O Leum Hight Heat resistant paint. Looks great. Questions welcome. Thanks for looking and good luck.

This little stove is, I believe what they called a 4 o'clock stove. They were a smaller size that would just be used in the evening for a single room. Stands about 28 inches tall and is only 18 inches across and is 16 inches deep. As you can see I have NICKLE PLATED all the predominant pieces. there are 2 beautiful Victorian ladies, one on each side, the top, grill, drawer, front hanging door and the hearth. The vented top of the Stove slides to the side to reveal two removable heating plates, see pictures, and the Stove/Oven appears to have been re-painted over the years. Nice fancy base burner parlor stove made by Penn Stove Works Reading. Pa. This is the Penn Air-Tight Model#139. Measures 57" tall and 24" square base. Lots of fancy nickel trim. Missing 2 door hinge pins and a small piece of mica in the door as shown. Most buyers will replace and restore this stove to it's original beauty! I did not see any cracks in the stove. Thank you for viewing my auction. Please read before bidding. This is for a local pick up only. This auction is for an ornate GEM OAK Victorian Cast Iron Stove made by the Toledo Stove. Company. Number of the stove model is No 114. Stove was kept in a family room for many years and is in good working order. Item shows some signs of rust along the bottom. See pictures for more details. It is in beautiful condition and would clean up nice. It is very dusty in spots. It is very ornate and the finial and other iron work on the piece are really in great condition. I do not know how old the piece is. Some light research on the Toledo Stove Company would probably date this piece to the early 1900s. Owner has had the piece in the family for generations and it has been gently used. Kept mostly as a decorative piece in the family room. You will notice ... moretwo holes, one on each side of the loading doors. These were to hang utensils/tools to stoke or control the fire in the stove. A small shovel and poker. Parlor Stove, 3 leg, Victorian artistry in Iron. 1864, Coal or Wood burning.
This 19th Century Victorian Art work was Manufactured in 1864 by the J.S. Lithgow Manufacturing Co. in Louisville. Kentucky. An inspection of the stove shows that it had very limited use. Note that the doors slide inside instead of swinging open. It appears to have been painted except for the two top pieces. This suggests to me that the chimney was attached at the top of the stove and the 2 piece top was not present and didn't get painted. I really don't know why they are not painted but they match perfectly and everything lines up. I don't think they were added later. A point of interest is that J.S. Lithgow was Mayor of Louisville from 1865 thru 1867. I have tried to show the art work and all the printing on the stove in the pictures. It is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. Old patina to surfaces with old black paint and remnants of old gold on the cast iron parts. Nice working door which also has the number"60" cast on the inside. Has pairs of amber and clear glass jewels. The shutoff knob to the gas pipe turns well. The gas pipe on the bottom looks ok. The metal tubes with just a handful of shallow dent spots- nothing bad. This is the Wisdom Oak No. 15. Model No. 159 by Wehrle. The stove is in good used condition; all doors are in working condition, no exterior/interior cracks, has only minor observable rust(underside of foot rails) and is all original. It has been refurbished following it's last use(twenty five years ago) and has been used as a room adornment only since. Stove is still fully functional for use as is if desired. Stove measures a total height of 48 inches to the top of the nickle finial, 13 inches wide at the base by 22 1/2 inches deep. The weight is estimated to be in the 90 to 100 pound range. Classic cylinder(pot belly) design.cast iron with nickle(chrome? top trim and three removable 15 inch long foot rails. It has a cook lid beneath the swing top dome and finial which allows for heating water and for humidifying the room. Wehrle Cast Iron Antique Victorian Wood Burning Pot Belly Parlor Stove
This is a large. 58" tall, antique cast iron stove. Produced by Wehrle. This is their Model Number 18. It certainly must have been a top of the line model given all of the fancy Art Nouveau cast decoration. It disassembles into very manageable sections. So. Potentially, one person could move and install this. Although, I don't believe that I want to crate up that many pieces of cast iron and trust it to a shipping company, given how fragile cast iron can be. So, either you can come pick it up, make arrangements with an independent shipper, or perhaps, I may even be able to deliver it to you. I would say that the condition is pretty good. These are defects that I have noticed: The finial. The little adornment at the very top of the stove, is bent off center and it is missing one of it's flanking arms. The trim that goes around ... morethe belly is cracked in several places. All the pieces are there and they match up pretty tight when reassembled. They will even stay snug to the stove in the condition that they are in. But again, there are several fractures that segment that piece of trim all the way around the circumference of the stove. There is some corrosion at the pot belly. Where there is a seam between the upper and lower sections. I do not see any clearly evident holes. There are three pieces of trim that rest into the brackets that go around the stoves belly. But until those get repaired, I didn't want to attach them. I have a ton of more pictures available. Although, I could only post 9 on this listing. If you live in the East Coast. Up for auction with no reserve is a vintage 1800 stove top. The piece is made of cast iron with a metal top. It measures overall 14 1/2" in height by 10 1/2" in width. Three antique woodstoves 1854 parlor, victorian deco Oak coal stoves
Three fantastic woodstoves. All for one price. These I picked up at estate sales in the Woodstock Vermont area. A genuine 1854 Wolfe and Sanders"Congress" Parlor with Victorian style made in Troy NY Also is a small parlor stove made by Rathbone and Sard 1891"cosey" and finally an unusal"modernist" 1940"s deco coal stove or oak stove as they type is called. each has a part missing which is sad. And each has its own charater the two parlor stoves have small cracks. these are being sold as ART or ORNAMENTS. These could be mended and set up if you are really good with old stoves. I burned each in my barn and they will need some work but doable. Please do not try to use these if you don't have some serious background with old stoves. I had been polishing these with stove polish(rutland) to bring the details ... moreto life. But time space and Christmas I rather just sell them now. These CAN NOT be shipped. They are in Vermont I can help load them all three for 1 price and as rare antiques. This is a bargain, but like I said they each have some issues. add these to your collection!

Selling this little 1850s parlor stove today. The stove is solid. Sturdy and completely functional. Its small, around 30" It has been totally dis assembled cleaned, finished with high heat barbeque paint, given new fastening hardware and ready to burn or use as a decorative piece. Water bowl touched up with appliance epoxy paint. I have never seen a more ornate stove that this one. The condition is also remarkable. It can be shipped in pieces, picked up here or possibly busses by Greyhound.
