In extremely nice condition is this Vermont Castings Inc. advertising trivet. The handle is dated 1978. The circular trivet body has a depiction of the foundry with the wording"Vermont Castings, inc. Randolph, Vermont. This piece of heavy cast iron looks like a new piece, with only a few crevices with rusty dust. This can all be removed with an oil applied to it, as if seasoning a pan. Offered is this vintage cast iron advertising piece for Vermont Casting Inc. in Randolph. Vermont. This trivet was purchased at a local estate sale and really doesn't appear to have ever been used. It was found in a buffet drawer wrapped in a cloth towel. The front of the handle is marked 1978. but the rear of the handle has a marking that also appears to be a date(5/21/84) I don't know the significance of these markings. At any rate, this would be a very fine addition to one's cast iron collection for use, or to be hung on the wall for display by the hole in the handle. Trivet measures 12" long X 6 3/4" across. This Vermont Casting Wood stove(Intrepid model) is in very good condition. It is the earlier model without catalyst which has its advantages and it is quite efficient. It heats a house very well. We had stored it for the last 7 years in the garage because we wanted to install it in a house we planned to build but the scraped the plans for building it. It comes with everything: side warmer shelves. Cooking surface, screen for open fire viewing and two sets of pipes( each 24" straight plus elbows) I cannot ship the stove because it is too heavy. He does seem to have some paint missing on the edge and several areas of his left ear and one small nick on the back of his right ear. There is also a small spot of missing paint on his nose. This genuine Vermont Castings brand Limited Edition stove bank was prepared with the same castings and coating method as their actual Wood and Gas stoves. This item is about 3 or 4 years old. And no longer available. Back when it was new it went for $75, but today with it being in great shape(sadly there is a tiny itty bitty chip in one of the rear legs(hardly noticeable) It has a huge capacity, and unlike other banks doesn't have a plug in the bottom, you have to dissasemble the stove(and then successfully put it back together) to get your money out. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA. Black. Cast iron, Vermont Castings, Resolute Acclaim top loading woodstove. The black cast iron stove has been our personal property since we purchased it new for our home in 1996. Our reason for replacing the stove is that we purchased a porcelain surfaced stove in a biscuit color- it is also the Vermont Castings Resolute Acclaim model(same model and size- only the surface is different) The stove burns a 16" log. Since 1996. The Resolute Acclaim stove model has been our main heat source. In 1996 we paid $1200 for our original black cast iron stove that is now up for sale. In 2014, we paid $2700 installed for a new biscuit-colored porcelain stove, currently in use.

This auction is for a Vermont Castings Resolute Wood Stove. It is in Excellent overall condition. It has front and top loading doors. It has new gaskets on door and lid(I installed the gaskets after the pictures) Comes with 1 Side Shelf that is not on the stove in the pictures and 2 glove warmer rods. The flue plate collar can go either straight up. Or towards the back(as I have it in the picture) It is a non catalytic stove. It has an automatic damper door with a lever and chain. Not sure when it was made, but it has the date 1979 stamped in the cast iron in the firebox. I am located in Enfield Connecticut. I will not ship the stove, it must be picked up by buyer. I just took it out of my fireplace and put it in my garage, so it ready to load.

FORGED CAST IRON STRAP HINGES 3 TOTAL FROM VERMONT 1800'S HOME
You are bidding on three antique cast iron. Blacksmith forged barn door/gate strap hinges, all probably from the late 1800's. The first hinge is 19" long and 1.5" wide at the hinge tapering to 1" at the spade head. It is 1/4" thick from the hinge to the head. The opening in the hinge is approximately 1/2" in diameter. Strap still has old paint on it. The second hinge is 21" long and 2" wide from hinge to end. It is 1/2" thick at the hinge and tapers to approximately 1/4" at the end. The hinge is 3/4" in diameter. It is very old and has square holes. The third hinge is 24 1/4" long by 1.5" wide from hinge to the rounded end and is 1/4" thick through the entire length. Hinge opening is 1/2" in diameter.
