The gentleman that I purchased this from is the one who had purchased it at the Estate auction around 1996. With the intent on installing it in his older Shelbyville home's kitchen which was undergoing a restoration. Anyway, he decided to go a different direction on the appliances, and that is when I came to own this remarkable stove. It was late 1996 when I purchased it. And the gentleman to me a story that I must pass on to you. The lady who originally bought this stove had used it daily since new, but being in her late 80's and a widow was pressured by her family to get a"new fangled" stove with autopilot features as they were concerned for her safety with a standing pilot light, and they were even going to pay for it. She refused over and over again until finally one day she said she would accept a"new" stove as long as they had"her" trusty companion"stove" installed down in the basement so that she could cook her Holiday dinner on her own stove. And so it would be! But when the kids were cleaning up the her old house for the estate sale. They noticed how clean the"new" stove was, and came to the conclusion that she had in fact not been using it at all, but going up and down the basement stairs everyday until her death. HMMMMMph? Anyway. When I purchased this in 1996, I took to the local appliance store for a"once over" cleaning, inspection, tune-up as well as having the oven controller removed and sent out to the Tulsa Stove Hospital to have it re-calibrated. I also had the top burners and grate re-porcelained by a company in Tennessee. I was having a"new" Victorian Country built, and this was installed upon moving in. My wife and I have enjoyed this stove up until May 2010, when we updated the kitchen with new SS appliances and a commerc

I am not sure of the model number of the stove, but it is either a 9520 or a 9322. It has a partial diagram on the back. It is 49" tall, 40.5" wide, 36" tall at the burner surface, and 28.75" deep.

I have no idea if there is any use for these as there is no make. I found them at an estate sale and know they would be useful to someone restoring a vintage stove. Only markings are S-90 in raised letters. These are plastic or bakelite with a chrome strip in the center and measure about 2" There is a dark shading on the finish but structurally they are in excellent condition. No cracks, odors, burn marks, broken or missing parts.

But haven't gone into excessive detailed cleaning as is obvious in some of the pictures. All of these knobs and handle are originally from a Dixie gas stove. But should interchange with some other stoves. The handle measures about 11 3/4 inches long and the screws are 6 inches apart on center. The chrome handle is free of any rust. The white handle ends appear to be bakelite and are slightly more greyish on the bottom side(shown) The Wilcolator oven dial is in very nice condition aside from some paint loss. The chrome ring also ... morevery nice. There are 4 white knobs of which 2 show some damage on the back only- one slightly melted. One with a hairline crack. Both worked fine when removed. There were 3 with chrome-ish covers. One came right off while I was cleaning it to reveal the etched lettering below. The two remaining center covers are glued on quite well. This is a hard to find vintage oven knob by Robertshaw. I lightly cleaned it with a dollar store degreaser. As you can see in the photos the paint has come off. There are hairline marks but no cracks. The underside has very small nicks. Thank you for looking. Questions are welcome.

1950's Classic Vintage Welbilt Black & White Apartment Sized Gas Stove Range
A classic vintage black and white enamel early 1950s Welbilt gas stove. Has a great Art Deco look to it. The knobs and handles are pure Deco. Might even be late 40s. It is an apartment sized stove. Rare to find. The smooth white enamel body has barely a scratch on it. These stoves were known to take beatings. I see no enamel loss on the body. Unbelievably. The long stain in the front is just old masking tape that should come off easily with any type of adhesive remover. It is rare to see such a small stove and so complete. Retains it's original white enamel lid for covering the range for a very neat look. The original paper"Welbilt" label is in the back inside of the range top. The only enamel issue I see is on the lid cover itself which is a little beat up, with some enamel chips and loss and stains and at the very top back ... moreof the stove where the vents are) However, the body is just exceptional. This stove can be a real gem with very little restoration and would look amazing in any retro kitchen. 3' high x 1' 8" wide. The stove was kept down a very clean. Finished basement of an old Brooklyn estate for over forty years. It is unbelievably clean and knowing the family that it came from, it was probably used from when it was first purchased until the mid 1960s, at the latest. This is a great deal and it is not being reduced in price again. This is my rock bottom on the stove and it will be listed on craigslist for $175.00 if it doesn't sell on ebay. It will not be reduced furtther. There is no guarantee that it would work but I don't see why it shouldn't. Of course it will need to be checked out by a good appliance person. No returns. As is.
