This Item Is An Original Vintage 1940's. 1950's Wedgewood/ Grayson Gas Stove Top Clock. Cooking Timer, Electric Light Shade Assembly with Salt& Pepper Shakers Holders. Please note, you may see dark marks. Red& blue tints here and there on our chrome and shiny items, these are not defects on the item, they are reflections of our camera and surroundings when we take our photos. Any defects, aging, wear, etc. will be noted in our descriptions. This clock/timer ... moreshade/canopy and support are bright white. This is the original Wedgewood/Grayson assembly. The porcelain enamel on the light shade and the vertical shade support are in excellent condition. There are no scratches or chips- the chrome base plate and S&P shaker arms are also in very nice shiny condition. The underside of the base plate does have some exposed underlying copper plating. The Grayson clock/timer is a painted finish in very nice condition. The square clock thin trim is in fair condition, mostly shiny chrome with some wear as you can see. All the clock/timer knobs turn as they were intended, the clock hands and red timer wheel all turn quite nicely; there are no cracks or chips in the glass crown/cover. The clock/timer olive green and red face is in gorgeous condition, some slight yellowing from age. We have thoroughly cleaned the exterior surfaces, replaced the rusted screws and nuts(see the last photo of"Sally's Work Bench" The wiring should be replaced just to be on the safe side, we have clipped and taped the broken wires. Vintage Wood / Coal Stove Shaker Grate Crank Chrome Plated 13/16" Square ID
Up for auction is an antique coal/wood stove shaker. It is about 7" long from the 90 degree bend and the handle is 4" long. It has a chrome color but it is rough, so I can't tell if it has been painted or has been used badly. It is really solid though and ready for use. The end is square and is 13/16" in the inside diameter. There are no names or marks on it that I can see, so I don't know the brand. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. KEELEY CAST IRON ASH SHAKER HANDLE This old cast iron KEELEY ash shaker stove handle would have been fastened onto a coal stove and used to"shake" the grate causing the ashes and cinders to fall down from the firebox into the ash pan. The grate would be shaken in short vigorous strokes that moved the grates back-and-forth allowing the ashes to fall through. To keep a good fire burning. It was important to shake enough of the ashes to allow the proper amount of air flow up through the coal. This old handle has a 1.25 inch hexagonal opening and a nicely shaped pierced handle. Overall space width of the handle is 6.5 inches and it has a 9 inch arm extension. Some slight surface rust inside the hex opening. But still a good solid and functional tool. There is a name and# on it the# I'm not sure it's 605 or 606 or it could even be 90 something. Also the name I can't make it out I can see a couple of letters on it but not sure what the last two are. If you know about Victorian things you just might be able to know what this goes to I believe it's a stove shaker but not sure.
