Vintage Vulcan-Hart US ARMY RANGE wood/gas/coal 8 burner plate cook stove oven
This is the Vulcan-Hart version of the US Army commercial wood/coal kitchen stove originally built by the Garland stove company for the US Government contract. But has many upgrades. This stove has a large commercial size natural gas burner in the firebox, which likely could be rejetted for propane allowing you to use multiple fuel sources(Wood, coal, gas) It also has a built in cast iron water heater heat exchanger in there. It has a brite"US" nameplate which appears to be solid brass and silver accenting on the casting names and rivet heads. The top is 52W X 36D X 33H. It's real cast iron- it weighs in the neighborhood of 400 lbs. The Vulcan-Hart company. With history back to 1865, still makes high quality $$$ commercial stoves today and the quality and lineage of this unit shows. Built in 1951 according to the nameplate on ... morethe side. It came with a 1947 house I purchased last year. According to the 87 year old previous owner, the unit was bought new and placed in the corner of the living room by his aunt during a 1952 renovation and hasn't moved since. He only used it for extra heating in that large room and never recalled actually burning wood in the unit, and I found only evidence of natural gas use. It comes with the stock"tools" poker, scraper etc. The unused heavy-ass firebox grating for burning solids is in the last photo. It was sitting in the bottom of the ash drawer. It is a bit dusty in the photos and it does have a light patina of rust color on the inside but I know most of that is due to the natural gas combustion residue. And there is no ash inside and very little soot in the flue. I decided to leave it all original and not try to restore it as that might change its value and it does in fact need very little cleaning and perhaps some paint inside to make it look like new again. I found no cracks, scratches, or damage of any kind when I inspected it, and I do feel confident in its excellent condition, but I am selling it as-is, no warranties. It will come with the carbura

This catalog is nicely illustrated with several engravings and features the McDowell Oven which was a commercial oven for hotels and restaurants that came in four sizes ranging from 46 to 84 inches in length. Utilities had been cut to the trailer so we had no way of testing this before it was removed. Pink in color. There are three small chips in the front. Warming plate, broiler, and double ovens. I am not an authority on vintage stoves but during my research I was not able to find a single green porcelain Roper stove like this one. The white color seems to be much more common with the nostalgic mint green being nearly impossible to come across. I did not personally test this stove but I am told by the original owner that is was working when it was removed from their home. Please excuse the sun glare in the pictures that make the stove look white in certain areas. That is not the case. The stove is minty green throughout as can be seen by the close up shots. 1953 Vintage antique HOME COMFORT E-1 electric cooking stove range oven IT WORKS
Vintage Home Comfort E-1 electric cooking stove. This stove worked when my step-grandpa last used it. After testing it recently. I found that both the upper and lower coils in the oven heat up, as can be seen in the photo, so the oven works. All four burners also heat as they should. I cannot get the dial to turn to test the middle"deep well. However, I may have been doing something wrong as I initially thought the oven was not working until I found the manual, which also goes along with the auction, and realized I just had it in the wrong mode. I should have re-tested the deep well dial after finding the manual, but I forgot to, and the stove is almost 2 hours from us. The plastic/glass cover is missing off the timer, and I did not test the timer. It has been kept in his kitchen in his heated home for the last ten years. It is as is ... morebut most everything appears to be working. The burners and oven definitely work. It is about 40 inches wide by about 27 inches deep(including the handles out front) and the height from the floor to the top is about 37 inches plus about another 9 inches for the area where the dials are located. Up for auction is a vintage Norge electric range. I just pulled it out of our attic. I know it's been up there for at least 30 years. Probably much longer since it had newspapers in the drawers from the 1960s. I believe it is from the late 1940s or very early 1950s. It has 4 burners, an oven, 3 storage or warming drawers, a clock, and an overhead fluorescent light. The top is porcelain. It includes the electric cord and plug and oven racks and drip pan. It uses 220v-240v electric service. Nice. Restorable range. No dents or dings. A few small chips and wear on porcelain. Some surface rust on black painted steel. Missing 2 knobs. One knob is loose. Classic Vintage 1960's Working Caloric Heritage Kitchen Oven Stove Range Broiler
Thank you for looking at this auction for this classic 1960's kitchen stove/oven/broiler made by Caloric. This is Caloric's vintage'Heritage' model gas range. It has a four gas burners on the stovetop. An oven and an individual broiler drawer. It measures 30" wide, 25" deep(front to back) 36" tall to the stovetop and 45-1/2 inches tall to the top of the backlight/clock console. I have tested it and the broiler. Oven and stovetop burners all work. The top panel with the clock has a crack in the glass and there are a few areas along the top edge where the porcelain enamel finish needs some spot refinishing. The pictures speak to its excellent condition. There are no chips. Cracks or scratches on panels or enamel. This is the cleanest early 1950’s ovens I have seen. The Range has a 4 stove burners on the top and oven below with the original drip pan is in place(as seen in the pictures) The light on the back panel works perfectly and so does the timer. The electrical cord could be replaced as it does show signs of dry-rot which is typical of a 50+ year old unit. The upper left knob is cracked but in working condition. Vintage set of four heavy cast iron stove top grates. They each measure about 11 1/2 inches square. The finish is no longer shiny- if it ever was. One grate has a crack in it as shown in the picture. Magic chef stove. I believe from the 1920'2 30's. Used as a decorative piece and storage for 20 years. Always stored indoors. The colors are beige and grey trim the design is a raised design that is a light grey almost blue. We never hooked it up to gas so not sure if is in working order. The previous owners did use.
