Vintage Vulcan-Hart US ARMY RANGE wood/gas/coal 8 burner plate cook stove oven
This is the Vulcan-Hart version of the US Army commercial wood/coal kitchen stove originally built by the Garland stove company for the US Government contract. But has many upgrades. This stove has a large commercial size natural gas burner in the firebox, which likely could be rejetted for propane allowing you to use multiple fuel sources(Wood, coal, gas) It also has a built in cast iron water heater heat exchanger in there. It has a brite"US" nameplate which appears to be solid brass and silver accenting on the casting names and rivet heads. The top is 52W X 36D X 33H. It's real cast iron- it weighs in the neighborhood of 400 lbs. The Vulcan-Hart company. With history back to 1865, still makes high quality $$$ commercial stoves today and the quality and lineage of this unit shows. Built in 1951 according to the nameplate on ... morethe side. It came with a 1947 house I purchased last year. According to the 87 year old previous owner, the unit was bought new and placed in the corner of the living room by his aunt during a 1952 renovation and hasn't moved since. He only used it for extra heating in that large room and never recalled actually burning wood in the unit, and I found only evidence of natural gas use. It comes with the stock"tools" poker, scraper etc. The unused heavy-ass firebox grating for burning solids is in the last photo. It was sitting in the bottom of the ash drawer. It is a bit dusty in the photos and it does have a light patina of rust color on the inside but I know most of that is due to the natural gas combustion residue. And there is no ash inside and very little soot in the flue. I decided to leave it all original and not try to restore it as that might change its value and it does in fact need very little cleaning and perhaps some paint inside to make it look like new again. I found no cracks, scratches, or damage of any kind when I inspected it, and I do feel confident in its excellent condition, but I am selling it as-is, no warranties. It will come with the carbura

This is a great addition to your collection. Old antique cast iron stove top sad iron heater plate. Marked underneath pat. apl'd for and numeral 9. No breaks or cracks. Nice smooth top surface. It is designed to sit on top of a cast iron cook stove. The heater sets on three small legs. As the heat from the cook stove rises it hits the fins on the bottom of the heater and this circulates the heat to the surface of the sad iron heater top. The fins prevented the sad iron heater or the sad irons themselves from becomming to hot and warping from the direct heat of the cook stove. Questions always welcomed. Antique or vintage cast iron with enamel front plate Radio stove door Harwick ??
Up for bid is an antique or vintage cast iron with a white enamel plated front plate stove door. It is marked Radio. In my research. The only Radio stove I could find was made bt Harwick. It looks like the door was chrome plated. Most of the chrome plating is gone, just a little left on some of the edges. The latch is broke/missing. There are spots, stains and a chip in the enamel finish on the front plate. I pack my postcards between 2 pieces of cardboard. Then in an envelope with a tracking number, which results in a higher price than just sticking it in an envelope. This item/items as most of the things I sell. Came from an auction, flea market, estate sale or rummage sale. The stove has 26 all new mica windows in the door for viewing the fire. It also has all new nickle on the ornate parts. A very unusual glass/crystal gem star was on the stove when I found it. Very beautiful aquamarine and pigeon blood colors that really shine when stove is lit and burning. It will also come with antique briquettes. It measures 41" high 22" wide and 14" deep. A couple on the upper rear corner"round overs" a couple very small on the inner front arches, and one on the lower right side at the"toe kick" at floor level, also ... morea couple of very light"cat hair" scuffs. They are barely noticeable once the panel is installed. There are no dents, bends or twists. With the exception of the above mentioned, this panel is very nice- the porcelain enamel finish retains a brilliant white bright shine.
