This is a great addition to your collection. Old antique cast iron stove top sad iron heater plate. Marked underneath pat. apl'd for and numeral 9. No breaks or cracks. Nice smooth top surface. It is designed to sit on top of a cast iron cook stove. The heater sets on three small legs. As the heat from the cook stove rises it hits the fins on the bottom of the heater and this circulates the heat to the surface of the sad iron heater top. The fins prevented the sad iron heater or the sad irons themselves from becomming to hot and warping from the direct heat of the cook stove. Questions always welcomed. Red& blue tints here and there on our chrome and shiny items, these are not defects on the item, they are reflections of our camera and surroundings when we take our photos. Any defects, aging, wear, etc. will be noted in our descriptions. This clock/timer ... moreshade/canopy and support are bright white. This is the original Wedgewood/Grayson assembly. The porcelain enamel on the light shade and the vertical shade support are in excellent condition. There are no scratches or chips- the chrome base plate and S&P shaker arms are also in very nice shiny condition. The underside of the base plate does have some exposed underlying copper plating. The Grayson clock/timer is a painted finish in very nice condition. The square clock thin trim is in fair condition, mostly shiny chrome with some wear as you can see. All the clock/timer knobs turn as they were intended, the clock hands and red timer wheel all turn quite nicely; there are no cracks or chips in the glass crown/cover. The clock/timer olive green and red face is in gorgeous condition, some slight yellowing from age. We have thoroughly cleaned the exterior surfaces, replaced the rusted screws and nuts(see the last photo of"Sally's Work Bench" The wiring should be replaced just to be on the safe side, we have clipped and taped the broken wires. VINTAGE PAT1922 Roper Enamel gas stove oven P9736- oven, 4 burner top,warmer+!
This item was purchased at an Estate auction.This is a VERY nice Roper gas stove and oven. It has the number P9736 on the dial. And was patented in Canada in 1922, refrigerator patents earlier than that. Item is large, but still small enough to have in the everyday kitchen. Item is 42 1/2" by 24" and is 54" tall(including the 19" footed legs) Breaking down the dimensions, the top stove is 16"X"20 and 14" tall(top left oven unit) the bottom broiler unit is 16"X20" and about 10 1/2" tall(bottom left opening) Burner top is 15"X20" rectangular(section where burner flame meets cooking surface) and the warmer unit under burners is about 21"X21" and about 9" to 10" depending on how close you want to put to the burners(this is where you would let the bread rise in earlier ... moredays) The four burner units where the flame comes out, three are 4" wide, and one is 5 1/2" wide. There is a small shelf on the right side of the stove, that is included and is about 3 1/4" wide by 1 1/4" and is 21 1/2' deep.To my knowledge all the parts are included, but if you do not see in the photos, please let me know and I will get back with the answer as soon as possible. The item has a black colored edging artistic design on most pieces, can see in photos. This item does have rust, and do not know if the gaskets are in working condition. Antique Cast Iron & Copper Windsor No.25 Stove Top Water Heater
This bid is for a great antique Windsor No.25 stove top water heater. Made of cast iron with a copper coil inside. This was made to sit on top of a wood stove or other heat source to heat the water that would be in the tank usually close by. As the heat would rise it would heat the water in the coil and make it circulate though the tank. There is one small chip on the back side of the cap rim. There is a T under the switch for the light and above the timer. I figure it's the first letter in the name of the manufacturer. But I don't know what it is, so any help would be appreciated. It's a great item if you're trying to restore an old stove. But it could also be a great desk lamp if you provide the base. I would make the base out of wood, but if you're good with metalworking, that would probably give the best results. It is porcelain enamelled metal- very sturdy and well made. The shade is painted turquoise and the rest is white or off white(cream) I suspect the turquoise is not original because of the quality of the paint job. But it does remind me of the 1950s. 15" wide x 3-1/2" deep x 8" high overall The timer works mechanically. Light and timer not tested with electricity. But it looks well made and very sturdy. It probably works fine, but the cord is frayed, so it should definitely be replaced. It could use a good cleaning. The turquoise paint on top is worn. Nice item.
