Based on the Circa of these stoves listed below, I would speculate that Floyd and Wells manufactured the Athens model between 1930& 1940. Pennsylvania-based manufacturer Floyd. Wells& Co. produced this stove under their brand name Athens. They also made a host of ranges under the Irving brand—the Irving, Grand Irving, Loyal Irving, Prize Irving, True Irving, Rose Irving, and on and on—as well as ranges with names like Justice, Fidelity, Athens and Progress…Research provided no Most Victorian-era stoves were made from cast iron and designed to burn wood. The embossed letters on this metal sign read. THE JOHNSON SYSTEM AUTOMATIC REGULATION etc. This plate measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" and is approx 1/8" thick. I believe the sign is made of bronze and nickel plated. I can view small areas where the nickel plating has worn through to the bronze color. I am guessing this piece was once installed on a large heating system or furnace.

Measuring the back side it is approximately 19 5/16” at its longest point and approximately 5 1/4” at the widest point. When laying flat face up, the sides and bottom rim measure approximately 1” high. It weighs just over 3 ½ pounds. There is rust and pitting thru out, but overall appears to be in solid condition. It appears to have no cracks or breaks. I’ll leave the cleaning and restoration to the professionals or just leave it the way it is, it would make a great wall piece ... morefor conversation. Antique SWARTZBAUGH MFG CONSERVO Stove Top Cooker Steamer
This old steamer makes a great conversation piece. I had it on my front porch. But now it needs a new home. It's marked on the front doors"CONSERVO Manufactured by the Swartzbaugh Mfg Co, Toledo, Ohio, USA Patented" There's no date but they were made in the early 1900's. When I researched it, I found a magazine ad that showed it set on top of a cook stove burner. Water is poured in through the tube you see going down from top to bottom, on the inside right rear(see 4th photo) The top of the tube is a screw-on cap you see on the top, closest to you in the 3rd photo. This tube allows water to be added while the cooker is being used. There should be 2 wire racks on the inside. The one that goes directly over the water reservoir in the bottom, is missing. Actually the racks are removeable, so this one could be set at either ... morelevel. The doors are held shut by a little twist handle, both work fine. The worst dents are in the dome top and on the bottom door and the top hinge of the bottom door is loose. This was painted black back in the 1970's and had some flower shaped stickers applied. You can still see the outline of those flowers in several places. This is a rare item for someone who has an old Victorian house or for someone who collects old kitchen items or cookware. Estate sale find. This is a new one for me. I've never seen one before so I thought I'd better pick it up. It's like an old slow cooker as far as I can tell. The stones are heated then stacked under or over the cooking pots. The outside is a little dirty but I don't think cleaning it would be a good idea. It is 17" tall and 14" a side. It has four wooden wheels and none of them are damaged. It's 45 pound so I'd send it Fed-X ground.

Up for bid is a nice small pot belly stove that I acquired from a friend a few years back. It is a very solid stove. Although I have only used it for ornamental purposes. I would think that it could actually be used if you wanted to. It does have some surface rust on it, but very little. I do believe that when I got it from my friend that he told me he cleaned it up a little and spray painted it. I can not say for sure if he used high temperature paint though, just in case you would be thinking of burning in it. I took some good crisp pictures outside to show off as much of it as possible and of what I thought most would be interested in seeing. Antique Cast Iron Single Burner Natural Gas Stove - REGO Mfg. Co. - Erie, Pa.
Up for bids is an old cast iron single burner natural gas stove made by the REGO Manufacturing Company of Erie. Pennsylvania. The stove stands 5" high and measures 10 1/2" by 10 1/2" wide across the top outside rim. The stove is in good condition with no chips or cracks to the cast iron. A couple of the screws that hold the legs on are a little loose and need to be tightened and the stove could use a coat of paint. Otherwise everything looks good. Being sold as pictured and described so please ask any questions you may have before you place a bid.
