For other destinations. Please email for a shipping ... morequote. This is a light and timer unit that was removed from a vintage stove. Probably one from the 1950s. There is a T under the switch for the light and above the timer. I figure it's the first letter in the name of the manufacturer. But I don't know what it is, so any help would be appreciated. It's a great item if you're trying to restore an old stove. But it could also be a great desk lamp if you provide the base. I would make the base out of wood, but if you're good with metalworking, that would probably give the best results. It is porcelain enamelled metal- very sturdy and well made. The shade is painted turquoise and the rest is white or off white(cream) I suspect the turquoise is not original because of the quality of the paint job. But it does remind me of the 1950s. 15" wide x 3-1/2" deep x 8" high overall The timer works mechanically. Light and timer not tested with electricity. But it looks well made and very sturdy. It probably works fine, but the cord is frayed, so it should definitely be replaced. It could use a good cleaning. The turquoise paint on top is worn. Nice item. This makes you realize how much nicer life is now than it was then! This is a stove that was for your sad iron or to put one pot on to cook with. It is in pretty good condition. Though not the best. It is missing the plug where the oil goes in. The paint is chipped some and definitely shows wear. The last patent date on the back is June 8,1886. The piece is a wonderful bit of history and would display beautifully. There is still a wick in it, so I am sure that you could use a cork in place of the stopper and still use the stove. Vtg. Porcelain Enamel Electric Stove Light/Lamp 1950's-60's Electric Range/NOS
You are bidding on this vintage Porcelain enamel electric lamp. For the back of a vintage electric range. Purchased from the estate of a fellow that work at the company in the little factory right down the road from Me. Great working order, it has a push on and off switch on the end. This was considered a second by the company, because of the scratches you see in the photos. The paint is scratched, but not clear through enough that it would be bare metal and start rusting. About 15" wide. Sockets are great, along with the wiring. The glass looks a little funny in the photos because I had washed it with Windex, and must not have been dry before snapping photos. This is for an used Antique Vintage kerosene oil lamp flat cast iron heater stove- 2 burner There are no marking on the stove to indicate the maker. I have been emailed: What you have there is called a Sad Iron(Flat iron) heater. It had one real purpose in life and that was to heat the clothes irons used for pressing the family laundry. They were made with 1.2, and 3 burners. Your heater will heat 2 irons at a time. When electricity was introduced into homes, the electric iron replaced need for the heaters. There seems to be a never ending supply of these heaters on ebay, because just about every housewife had one. Patent dates seem to range from about 1865 to 1901. The large wicks were meant to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area to heat the irons quickly. You may want to add the words Sad Iron or Flat iron to your listing, ... moreso that the sad iron collectors will find the heater in a search. The heaters are even listed in some of the Flat Iron collector books. Stove was stored in shed so it got damp and temp changing. I will try to describe the stove best I can. Surface rust. Grim, dirt, pitting to the metal and corrosion in the tank. I took pictures of the two cracks to the stove grate and break and missing cast iron on the burner. Two windows are all there with a few lines bubbles from the layers to make the window. Knobs turn the wick up and down. Look at the pictures closely to see the condition of the stove.
