THE FINIAL MEASURES 10 1/2" TALL AND THE SCREW EXTENDS ANOTHER 1 1/4" AND IS 7 1/2" WIDE. NICE OLD NICKLE FINISH. A UNUSUAL ROUND OAK FINIAL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS OR DAMAGE. This auction is for a Vintage Cast Iron Art Deco Wood Burning Stove Finial. This unique vintage stove finial measures 8 ¾ inches high. 10 inches in diameter at the center, 3 ¾ inches at diameter base, round top measures 2 ¾ inches, and 6 inches between top of two handles. Unmarked. Fine condition. No cracks or chips. Minor wear on nickel plating. Age unknown. Note the ornate screws which holds the finial together. The handles attach separately through four slots. Finial can be opened to find a bolt inside which I think would attach finial to a swing top, etc. Heavy- weighs about 2 ½ pounds. Constructed of two pressed brass or copper( metal domes with ornate open work centers on a domed base. The eagle is a cast iron. Very detailed 2 1/8" tall piece with a 3 1/4" wide wing span. The finial is a bit over 3 7/8" tall from base to center top tip. 2 5/8" wide at the Florence lettering, and a variable(thinner at the top) 1/4" thick. The base of the finial is a rough 1/2" in both directions and does not have a hole for mounting. A magnet does not stick and we are not sure of the material it is made of. We found no breaks or missing pieces, but the part does have oxidation/discoloration as shown in the photos. A great old stove finial! You are bidding on an ORIGINAL 1890's Beckwith Round Oak wood stove finial! This Worlds Fair finial measures approx. 10 1/2" tall. And has the crown? at the very top. Base measures approx. 4 3/4" diameter. The finial has the four outer bands that read"Beckwith's Round Oak" and has the center ball/sphere. There is a long screw that goes all the way through the finial that is bent and needs to be straightened. There are some small dents in the base, and one dent in the center ball. Unsure what this is made of. Copper? Brass? This was found in a local estate and is being sold just as we have found it! We have not attempted to clean, polish, or fix this in any way. ANTIQUE COAL WOOD POTBELLY STOVE FINIAL TOP SWINGING METAL 12" TALL
This auction is for an antique swinging finial top for a coal. Wood or potbelly stove. The entire piece is just a hair under 12" tall(from the bottom of the base to the very top of the finial) The finial is just under 9-1/2" tall and the base is 2-1/2" tall. It measures approx. 11-1/2" diameter across at the widest part(one side is made flat rather than round) There is a number on the bottom of the base which looks like X-981 or 186-X as we don't know which would be right side up. Ask ALL questions prior to bidding, of course, but we think the base is made of steel(maybe cast iron, but doesn't really seem heavy enough to be cast iron) and we think the finial top is tin. The base is unpainted metal and naturally shows some rust and the finial is painted silver. There is one screw holding the finial on which is obviously ... morea replacement screw as it is not painted silver and doesn't match the others. There are some spots of silver paint loss and scuffing on the finial and the base has sooty type dust on it. As stated, we know nothing about this item so email with questions BEFORE bidding. ANTIQUE DOE-WAH-JACK AMERICAN INDIAN FIGURAL METAL FINIAL ROUND OAK WOOD STOVE
Original and hard to find Chief Doe-Wah-Jack metal figurine that used to stand on top of a Round Oak wood stove. Manufactured in Dowagiac, Michigan in the early 1900's. This Indian Chief statue is hollow-cast in a bronze finished metal with excellent detail. He has two feathers on his head; I believe there used to be a third one, but it's missing. The statue stands 11.25" tall on a 2.5" diameter round base embossed"DOE-WAH-JACK" There are two holes on each side of the base, two on either side of his head, and one in his fist that were used to hold a metal garland of leaves that surrounded the figurine, but it is also long gone. The Indian is in very good condition with no noticeable cracks or damage other than the missing third feather. Fantastic figural finial of poet John Milton with original base attachment. Very nice condition-there is a small deep scratch/cut in the index finger on the right hand but we see no other issues. The finial is made of heavy metal-we believe it is either bronze or pewter. A magnet does not stick to it. The base that attaches to a stove is made of a metal that a magnet does stick to. This listing is for(1) Parlor National Stove as seen in the pictures above. This is a very cool old pot belly stove. On the front it has"Parlor National" on the door. This was made in Chicago Illinois. I am not exactly sure when it was made but it is old. Very ornate and decorative utilitarian piece. This stove does need some work and elbow grease. Has surface rust that needs cleaned up. Some repairs, there are bolts that will need replaced. Is definitely a fixer upper. May also have additional imperfections. Rare 1890?s Tiger Oak Viaduct 3 Box Wall Telephone with Long Pole Receiver 1905 Nickel Cast Iron Coles Original Hot Blast Finial for Parlor Stove This is a very nice Finial top for a 1905 Coles Original Hot Blast parlor stove. It is in excellent condition. The center screw turns nicely and will dissemble for cleaning. The unit is 12 ¾” tall and the diameter is 9 ¾” across. The ornate lions on the side are 5 ¾” tall. The base is thick heavy cast iron and the upper part appears to be spun brass. The top fancy screw head and lions are cast metal. All are nickel. Coles hot blast stoves were famous for burning cheap soft coal as well as expensive hard coal. Many stoves would not burn the soft coal. The stove would also burn all kinds of fuels. Almost anything that burned. Up for sale is this antique cast iron wood stove top finial. It is missing the top piece of it. I was all bent up and one piece of it got misplaced for the time being. Still a VERY nice ornate finial topper. I cannot be for sure when I say I believe this came off of a REX's Stove. The number 37 is embossed on the under side of the topper.
