This stove belonged to an aunt of mine who died some 20yrs ago in her 80's. I do not know if this was a toy of hers or a salesman sample. It is a Crescent stove. Has 15 pieces to it. I will admit it is dusty but am leaving the cleaning to its new owner. The stove is 6" x 4"x 4.75" to that one must had the shelves and the stovepipe. There are a coal shuttle, and shovel, a cauldron, a frying pan,a large pot. Each burner has a disc, and the stovepipe and grill work are seperate. It is very decorative and has lots of detail. It has a lid lifter with it. The front of the stove has a large door that opens and has the word FAVORITE on it. There is a large oven rack inside this door. There are two small working doors on the front and there is a small grate that fits in the fire box. It could probably fired up. All six burners, and water reservoir has lid also. There is a decorative shelf above the stovetop. The measurements are as follows, 17 ½” across, 27 ½” high(including chimney) and 10 ½” deep. This is an antique salesman's sample or child's toy stove and NOT a reproduction version from the 1960s-70s. A quick way to tell them apart is that the repro of this stove has a cast aluminum cooking surface. Legs and frame, while the antique's cooking surface is cast iron. With plated cast iron legs and frame. We know this because both the antique and the later reproduction were at the same estate auction. We guarantee this is the antique and it's in very clean. Highly displayable condition. This stove represented an actual full-sized stove then being made by Qualifed Range Co. of Ft. Re cov ery. Ohio. Samples that were made for Karr Range are so similar( the only ... moredifference we note is the different name on the fire box cover. Usually Karr Range Co. Belleville, I ll. th at it seems very likely there was a connect ion b etween the two companies. Especially since some have turned up marked"Qualified Rge. Co. Belleville, IL" and others"Karr Qualified Range" Please note that the blue surfaces are a medium-glossy finish that made it difficult to photo without reflections. We were able to eliminate most of the reflections by photoing from different angles. Also. Please note that all the blue is uniform and all the same shade(no lighter or darker areas) The flat side panels in photo 4 are very close to the true color. The stove. Which measures 20-7/8" x 12-1/2" x 8-3/4" functions just like the full-sized model. 1920s Electric Toy Stove Salesman's Sample Stove By Elastic in Cliffs Co. Works
This is for a 1920s small electric toy stove. There is a small oval red label that says Elastic in Cliffs? Iplugged the stove in and both ceramic heating elements with wire coils are working. Stove measures 14'wide 10 3/4' tall and 6 3/4' deep. Stove is metal or tin and painted black. Mostly the paint condition is good but there are some surface spots of rust present. All 4 silver metal legs have oxidation and the far right leg at rear has some minor bending. Electric cord is intact very dry and has some fraying at rear were it goes into the machine. Here is an antique salesman sample or toy Rival Stove with accessories. The early stove is nickel-plated iron heavily embossed with elaborate decoration. There is a nickel plated antique coffee pot along with two iron skillets. And two coal-scuttles with one shovel. The stove is in good condition with some rust, and one removable side shelf is broken, and one missing burner. The back has a patent date of July 30 1895. Antique C/I Salesman Sample "Quick Meal" Stove. Rare Salesman Sample Toy Stove
Rare and very collectible Antique Cast Iron"QUICK MEAL" Salesman Sample Cook Stove! These larger size Stoves are considered by most to be Salesman Samples! I can not disagree as it is an exact scale model of an Original. All working parts as shown. You can actually burn a fire in this Stove. Although not recommended. It appears complete including interior grates etc. as you can see. No cracks or breaks other then one tiny break at the screw hole to the back splash, see last photo. No other damage or repairs, straight from an Attic. Nothing recent but sometime during the last 100 years it has been painted on the exterior. Normally the Doors and attachments were painted a Silver color. It can easily be removed and repainted by someone with the know-how to look original again. These Stoves command a good chunk of change when restored ... moreand offered for sale, usually in the $4000 to $4500 range. This example needs little work and it is complete! It measures 25 1/2" tall, 17 1/4" wide and 16" deep. It weighs about 50 lbs. total and will be shipped in two separate Boxes to avoid damage. Not new or reproduction, antique cast iron stove lid lifters& grate shaker handles. they were used to lifter the lids on the old wood& coal burning stoves, parlor heaters& ranges for cooking. 1 of them is made by& marked from the famous Griswold Erie Pa cast iron foundry& also have a rare 1 for a larger toy or salesman sample stove. please see all the listings of mine for all the different ones for sale.this auction is the toy or salesman sample lid lifter handle. it is guaranteed to be an original, authentic lifter, NOT a reproduction recast one. this handle has a narrow, small lift tongue& is a small lifter. it's only 5 1/2" long& the tongue is 5/8" long by 5/16" wide. this little lifter will fit several of the lids on some of the ... morelarger toy& salesman sample antique stoves. Copper tone Pot Belly Stove Salesman Sample. This very nice piece is missing the plate cover but except for a bit of aging patina it is in excellent condition. It measures approx. 6 3/4" to the top of the pipe and the base from leg to leg is approx. 2 3/4" It weighs 15 oz. There is no markings for manufacturer or date. My guess is it is mid century. Only markings are on the bottom and it is"Patent Pending" Great vintage item. Excellent for a large dollhouse, or a great paperweight.
