OLD VINTAGE ANTIQUE BECKWITH MODEL I AIR TIGHT ROUND OAK STOVE FINIAL TOP. IT LOOKS LIKE THE SCREW HAS BEEN REPLACED. I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND IT WILL WORK WELL. THE FINIAL MEASURES 10 1/2" TALL AND THE SCREW EXTENDS ANOTHER 1 1/4" AND IS 7 1/2" WIDE. NICE OLD NICKLE FINISH. A UNUSUAL ROUND OAK FINIAL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS OR DAMAGE. AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS. I see that another seller is offering a restored finial like mine and it is discribed as follows.This finial is for a 1910-1916 Beckwith Air Tight"S" model. Hutch Brand Cast Iron Pot Belly Stove from Lehmans in Kidron OH Round Oak style
HUTCH brand POT BELLY STOVE sold by Lehmans in Kidron OH The stove is solid cast iron and domestically manufactured by Hutch Mfg Co in Loudon. TN. It can be used to burn either wood or coal. This stove is in new unused condition. I purchased it from Lehman Hardware in Kidron. OH in the early 1970's. Shortly after I purchased it we moved to a home with a fireplace and we had no further use for it. It has been stored there in dry conditions in our basement until now. We are downsizing and moving to smaller quarters in the next few months and it is time for a new home for the stove. The dolly casters under the feet& shown in Picture#1 are NOT included in the auction) The stove is approximately 52" tall to the tip of decorative chrome top- 42" to the top of the stove pipe flue- 18" diameter at the top- 18" diameter ... moreat the base- 19" diameter leg to leg- 52" in circumfrence around the firepot. I am not sure of an exact weight but would estimate@ 175-200# The chrome is in mint condition with not even a hint of rust or pitting. The stove iteself is also mint and free of any sign of rust. All parts are there including all covers. Grates and dual purpose lifing handle which serves to lift the lid on top and as a handle for the grate shaker. The stove has draft controls adjustable turn knob on the front door and another adjustable turn knob on the bottom ash compartment. You can also tilt the lid on top tp one side to The stove and its parts are free of defects of any kind. Round Oak #18 Cylinder Stove
This was a restored stove in 1979 when my vacation home was purchased. It was used on ski weekends and such until removed in 1988. It has been in my garage ever since. The stove is basically in good shape except for rust holes on the back side of the urn and some chipped bubbles in the plating of the top ring and the belly plate(these can be seen in the pictures) Since this is a very heavy piece it will have to be picked up in Tahoe City. This stove top ornament originated from a stove first cast around 1867 in Dowagiac MI. The heaters were used by the Michigan Central Railroad for it's depots between Detroit and Chicago. The origin of the name Round Oak is unknown. The first theory is that the stoves were round and could hold a section of whole round oak tree in the firepot.

ANTIQUE 1890'S BECKWITH ROUND OAK WOOD STOVE WORLDS FAIR FINIAL CROWN TOP--LOOK!
You are bidding on an ORIGINAL 1890's Beckwith Round Oak wood stove finial! This Worlds Fair finial measures approx. 10 1/2" tall. And has the crown? at the very top. Base measures approx. 4 3/4" diameter. The finial has the four outer bands that read"Beckwith's Round Oak" and has the center ball/sphere. There is a long screw that goes all the way through the finial that is bent and needs to be straightened. There are some small dents in the base, and one dent in the center ball. Unsure what this is made of. Copper? Brass? This was found in a local estate and is being sold just as we have found it! We have not attempted to clean, polish, or fix this in any way. An older family friend asked me to help her list this wonderful. Large antique stove in her attic. When I saw it, I was immediately reminded of all those stories I read when I was little that talked about heaters and cookstoves(A Little Princess, Little House on the Prairie, etc. I couldn't believe I was actually seeing one in person! Apologies for the"lovely" attic background. But we are two smallish women and didn't want to attempt to move the heavy piece of iron from the 3rd floor! She has had it"forever, but she and her husband are preparing to sell their enormous house and are finding good homes for their larger antiques: Height: 48" Including finial. Circumference of central pipe: 51" Circumference of base: 60" Marked"Bright Oak" on the front in ornate letters, Lovely iron work all over ... morethe piece. Quite decorative, Made in 1907- see photos. Made of cast iron and brass with an ornate finial on top. Neither of us are experts on this- we expect that any buyer will know more than us. However. It doesn't take a genius to see broken parts or cracks! This piece has none- there doesn't appear to be any damage, aside from mild rust accumulated over 100 years. As you will see from the photos, the drawer slides out, the grate is intact, and there are no cracks or broken off parts. We wiped the dusty piece down with a wet rag before photographing because it was very dusty and dirty(some parts were still wet when we took the pictures. You can see that there is a light coating of orange rust on the iron. And the brass is dull. The stove will need to be cleaned up. However, it will be*beautiful* when it is refurbished- we found a photo of almost the exact same model on this site(for $4800! This is a very large and very old Round Oak Parlor Stove M-20 out of a 1850's farmhouse located in Mayfield. Kentucky. The home had been vacant and the stove was left inside the home for many years. A friend purchased the old home and I bought the stove from him. The stove is mostly for a nice antique decoration however I think it could be used if you so desired. It would need some metal work around the bottom of the barrel, it has damage and would leak air inside in current state. There is also some mild damage to the upper door that would not affect stove, can be seen in the pictures. The stove could also be parted out to complete another stove as there are a lot of great pieces here. The stove is mostly complete minis the finale(trophy piece) on the very top. Might also be missing a skirt but not sure. We have a freshly restored turn of the century Round Oak wood/ Parlor stove. Model E18 Own a piece of history from an era gone by! This parlor stove was completely rebuilt. Carefully disassembled and Sand blasted Cast iron pieces were hand buffed the old fashion way with a good quality stove polish. The barrel was replaced with 16 gauge heavy sheet steel and hand riveted as the original was. A quality high temp paint was applied to the barrel. Newly restored date on door 1893 trade show finial 18" Round Oak Parlor Stove. New recast wood grate. Details on casting are excellent and sharp. Took close up pics to show the detail. Orginial barrel in very good shape. Very nice stove came out of my collection. Pick up only no shipping located 20 miles west of Kalamazoo Mi. Just off exit 52 Interstate 94. ANTIQUE DOE-WAH-JACK AMERICAN INDIAN FIGURAL METAL FINIAL ROUND OAK WOOD STOVE
Original and hard to find Chief Doe-Wah-Jack metal figurine that used to stand on top of a Round Oak wood stove. Manufactured in Dowagiac, Michigan in the early 1900's. This Indian Chief statue is hollow-cast in a bronze finished metal with excellent detail. He has two feathers on his head; I believe there used to be a third one, but it's missing. The statue stands 11.25" tall on a 2.5" diameter round base embossed"DOE-WAH-JACK" There are two holes on each side of the base, two on either side of his head, and one in his fist that were used to hold a metal garland of leaves that surrounded the figurine, but it is also long gone. The Indian is in very good condition with no noticeable cracks or damage other than the missing third feather. For sale is this beautiful antique pot belly stove. It has very intricate designs all over. Most all of the exterior is there except for the pins of the large door. I am unsure what was supposed to be there on the inside. You can see from the image what the current inside looks like. The bottom side vent door is pretty corroded but salvageable. This is a very nice antique Round Oak wood stove. Round Oak was considered the finest heating stove money could buy because of the quality of its durable heating stove and by the late 1890s there were many"oak" imitators on the market.
