Hutch Brand Cast Iron Pot Belly Stove from Lehmans in Kidron OH Round Oak style
HUTCH brand POT BELLY STOVE sold by Lehmans in Kidron OH The stove is solid cast iron and domestically manufactured by Hutch Mfg Co in Loudon. TN. It can be used to burn either wood or coal. This stove is in new unused condition. I purchased it from Lehman Hardware in Kidron. OH in the early 1970's. Shortly after I purchased it we moved to a home with a fireplace and we had no further use for it. It has been stored there in dry conditions in our basement until now. We are downsizing and moving to smaller quarters in the next few months and it is time for a new home for the stove. The dolly casters under the feet& shown in Picture#1 are NOT included in the auction) The stove is approximately 52" tall to the tip of decorative chrome top- 42" to the top of the stove pipe flue- 18" diameter at the top- 18" diameter ... moreat the base- 19" diameter leg to leg- 52" in circumfrence around the firepot. I am not sure of an exact weight but would estimate@ 175-200# The chrome is in mint condition with not even a hint of rust or pitting. The stove iteself is also mint and free of any sign of rust. All parts are there including all covers. Grates and dual purpose lifing handle which serves to lift the lid on top and as a handle for the grate shaker. The stove has draft controls adjustable turn knob on the front door and another adjustable turn knob on the bottom ash compartment. You can also tilt the lid on top tp one side to The stove and its parts are free of defects of any kind. STOVE IS AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL PICKUP ONLY I did not include any shipping terms or cost as part of the auction description. This is a antique/ vintage cast iron pot belly stove made be S.S. R Co. in Rome. Georgia. It is called a Raven, NO. 66. It is 28" tall. It is 12" across. There is a 6 1/2" plate that lifts off. The front door measures 4" x 5 1/2" It has a draft control in it which operates freely. The lower door measures 9" x 3 1/2" and has an air adjustment screw turn that operates freely. The base is 14" square and the legs hold the stove 7 3/4" off the floor. There is also a grate inside the stove. It weights about 60lbs. I purchased this stove with the intention of hooking it up in one of our bedrooms. But found that it was not allowed under our local code so now it needs a new home. I have never used this stove, but our local stove shop said it was fully functional and the door draft adjustments work fine. ... moreThere are no holes, cracks or defects in it. Here we have a wonderful antique Abram Cox Pot belly cook stove in good vintage used condition. Black and gold trim. Has a number 12. On it. The stove measures about 24 inches tall, by 18 3/4 inches by 20 1/2 inches at the top by 18 inches by 20 inches at the base. Has two areas on top for cooking Missing one grate of two. Has door below for cleaning out ash after the wood or coal is gone. This is a great little stove for a cabin, for heat or to cook on for that great vintage cabin feel. Has a hole on top in back for a vent pipe. Needs to be checked out for safety before you use it. Was only used recently for a decorative piece in our home. Has a little vent flue that slides back and forth for air circulation. Has a wonderful eagle picture on the front of the stove. Looks pretty much original as far as I can tell but I am no expert on antique ... morestoves. The stove may need a part that is missing that I am not aware of. The stove has a great look to it with lots of character and charm. I think it dates to the early 1900's or so. Stove is marked Abram Cox Stove Co.
