Scarce Antique Florence Stove Finial Top Piece Part Only Wood Coal Pot Belly !!
Hi: For your consideration here is a scare antique'Florence' brand stove finial! The finial is a bit over 3 7/8" tall from base to center top tip. 2 5/8" wide at the Florence lettering, and a variable(thinner at the top) 1/4" thick. The base of the finial is a rough 1/2" in both directions and does not have a hole for mounting. A magnet does not stick and we are not sure of the material it is made of. We found no breaks or missing pieces, but the part does have oxidation/discoloration as shown in the photos. A great old stove finial! This is a finial top to an antique cast iron wood stove. It has a rustic patina. There are no cracks in the cast iron. The actual finial has rust but no cracks. The hook to swing it on the stove is still intact if it is to be used for that purpose but it can also be used for several other decorative ideas. There is a stamp/name underneath. But with the rust and natural wear it is difficult to make out as you can see in the pictures above. This is an ANTIQUE Pot Belly Stove or parlor heating stove stove top finial. The arms and top portion are made of a cast metal. The body is tin. Measures approximately 8 1/4" in overall height. this is a nice piece i see nothing wrong with what is here. I have more part listed for wood stoves and more. they do have some rust, they are 11"x 9.25" the top is 11" x15" tall it is signed it says it was made in 1893 or 98. put this on your rock grill. if you need ask a question and i will do my best to answer it.
