Toledo Conservo Canning COOK OVEN SMOKER PIE SAFE ANTIQUE
This is a canning cooker by Swartzburg Co. Conservo. And it dates from the 20's or 30's. This is the cheapest one on eBay and these regularly sell for 150-200 but Im willing to price low and sell cheap. It measures about 21" tall by 12" by 12" and is made of galvanized tin with a copper bottom. It has two wire shelves and two doors. It weighs about 8 Lbs. This one is in good condition as both doors work well. The dome top is in good condition and the original vent pipe coming out of the top. a The copper bottom is in very good shape and could be polished to high shine if so inclined and you can see that this oven was used by the black on the bottom. It could be used on a burner or wood fire. It has two wooden handles at the top in good shape for easy moving. It has chipping paint. If you did not like the look of the ... morechipping paint it could easily be reprinted. Antique / Vintage Metal Food Warmer / Tin Pie Safe / Bread Box - Storage - Door
This is a great old food warmer. Pie safe. The sides and back have a double wall. There is no bottom to the piece but I believe that was original. Possibly for warming on the old stoves. It has been painted a peach color and I think at one time is was painted blue. This pie safe measures approximately 13 1/2" x 12 1/2" x 11" Originally it might have had three shelves because there are shelf holders in the tin insert.
